Mels Drive-In offers a variety of diner food with friendly service and a unique vintage atmosphere. The poached eggs and tuna melt are standouts, and they also serve freshly made beet/ginger juice. The overall experience, including the optional valet parking, makes it a worthwhile visit. Prices are reasonable, though there may be more extravagant options available elsewhere.
The nachos are spectacular, though customers can request the sauces separately if they don't like cilantro. The smash burger is fantastic and the spiked milkshakes are delicious, adding to the iconic vintage feel. The loaded nachos and banana shake are also highly recommended. While the pancakes may taste too much like dough for some, the food is generally described as expensive but worth the experience.
