“This was our first time visiting Los Angeles and the West Coast, and since we’re considering moving from the UK in the future, we really wanted to experience what nightlife in LA actually feels like. Finding Bar Next Door turned out to be one of the best surprises of our trip.

The place has an amazing chilled atmosphere, excellent staff, and genuinely great cocktails that are neither overpriced nor watered down — something that can be hard to find. One of the coolest details was the music being played through a vintage tape player, which gave the whole bar a unique character and old-school charm.

The location also felt safe and welcoming, making it easy to relax and fully enjoy the evening. Definitely recommend this place if you want a more authentic and laid-back West Hollywood experience.“

““I had a really upsetting experience at GYM BAR. After having just a couple drinks, I was told I couldn’t be served any more because of my skin color. I was sober, and I went to another bar right after, and everything was completely fine. I’ve never felt so singled out or discriminated against, and it really ruined my night. I won’t be returning“

“We were visiting LA and I was dying to try TomTom so I took the whole family and also had my friend who lives in WEHO join us. Loved the location and everything about it. I wish I could remember our server’s name because he was amazing! Food was great and loved the cocktails! Next time I’m in the area I will definitely go back! Also want you to try Schwartz and Sandy’s.“

“Beautiful place with a great atmosphere. The drinks were definitely the highlight of the experience. We ordered an Old Fashioned and it was excellent made the classic way and very well balanced.

As for the food there’s definitely room for improvement. We had the tortilla soup and the bowl felt surprisingly small with very little chicken in it. We also ordered the mushroom quesadilla. I expected the mushrooms to have a bit more flavor and because of the presentation it looked almost like a fried empanada so I expected it to be crunchy but it wasn’t.

Overall the food was okay but it could be better considering the ambiance and pricing.

One more thing that could be improved is the valet parking. They do have parking available right in front of the restaurant but it costs $16. It would be really nice if parking were complimentary for customers.“

“This is an absolute gem of a bar in LA/WeHo! My friend and I stumbled upon it after playing pickleball and I am so happy we did.

LA nightlife is great and all but it is incredibly rare (especially when you're not on the west side) to find a great BAR with great PEOPLE and a truly eclectic and incredibly fun mix of everyone - and this place is it. Mic's isn't trying to be flashy or fancy and that is the genius of it! It reminds me of Cheers because almost immediately, you inevitably get to know everyone who works there and all the regulars.

The staff is the best that I've come across in the city - CB, Cody, Kyle, and everyone else - they are the nicest and the most fun.

Mic's also has an incredible happy hour every single day!

Do not sleep on this place - it's the best and you'll want to go back every day! 10/10 recommend.“

“Riot House is definitely one of the highlights of my stay at Andaz West Hollywood. The chicken wings are absolutely incredible and honestly some of the best I have had in the United States. They are flavorful, perfectly cooked, and really stand out on the menu. I highly recommend trying them and not skipping over this dish.

The salad was decent and fresh but did not quite reach the same level as the wings. One of the other things I really enjoyed was the non-alcoholic Mai Tai. It was so good that we ended up ordering three rounds each. The flavors were well balanced and refreshing which made it a perfect complement to the meal.

The service throughout our dinner was warm and attentive. The staff made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive and their friendly attitude added to the positive atmosphere.

Speaking of atmosphere, Riot House has a really fun and lively vibe. It is a great place to come for a casual dinner where you can enjoy delicious food, good drinks, and a vibrant energy. Whether you are staying at the hotel or just visiting the area it is definitely worth a visit.

“B-Side Pizza is located in the entry area of the Ziggy Hotel, immediately adjacent to reception. In that sense, it's got much more of a hotel lounge vibe than a standard restaurant. I think the most compelling reason to come here would be for their happy hour, which is 4-6pm. They charge $9 for a slice of pizza and a beer, but their pizza slices are huge so you could make a meal just of this (and 2 of them for sure). Food is good but nothing you would cross town for.“

Ten minutes later I was trading stories with a stranger over negronis while the DJ spun a track I hadn’t heard since Paris years ago. By 2 a.m. this had become my new fav spot in LA/WeHo. That’s the pull of this place. Melrose outside, another world inside.“
