Walked up to Rocco's early Friday evening with two friends and we were immediately stopped by a rude host. He literally stepped in front of us, held up his clipboard and snapped: “Do you have a reservation?” I said no, I didn’t think we needed one to just grab a drink. He then said “Well, if you don’t have a reservation, you’re not allowed to sit ANYWHERE. If you want to sit, come back to me and make a reservation. If you try and sit ANYWHERE, you'll be asked to leave.”...read full review
Food is great here! Music tends a bit on the loud side, especially this past Sunday; really hard to have conversation with the music as loud as it was.

Mattie's WeHo is a great spot for a quick beer and bite or to go dancing, with wonderful staff and prices that are so good for LA. The Saturday drag brunch offers a wonderful show with the best energy, and the food is good and leaves you full. Great bartenders are a highlight, though the drinks are strong. However, there are several concerns. Water is only available in bottles for purchase, which is a change from past practice when free water was provided. A recent visit involved a bartender giving change to the wrong person, followed by unprofessional behavior when the issue was raised. Additionally, the rebrand is appreciated, but the sign and website domain still say Rocco's, and the description needs to be updated to reflect a gay bar, not an Italian restaurant, with hours also needing correction.
