“The Butcher’s Daughter is one of those places I know I can come back to and always have a great experience. Located in the Melrose/West Hollywood area, it has such a beautiful aesthetic. The decor has this really warm, bohemian feel with lots of natural light, greenery, and an overall relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile.

The food is all vegetarian, so if you’re looking specifically for meat options, this isn’t the place. BUT I will say everything is DELICIOUS. They do have vegan + gluten free options available as well, which makes it a great option for groups with different dietary preferences. Everything we ordered was really good, fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared.

The service was another highlight. The servers were genuinely kind, attentive, and accommodating. We had a larger group of more than 7 to 10 people, and they were able to accommodate us, which I really appreciated. Getting a larger group together can sometimes be a headache, so having a restaurant that can make it feel easy is a big plus.

Overall, I really enjoy the combination of the food, atmosphere, and service here. The space is beautiful during the day when all the natural light comes in, and the bohemian decor gives it a very relaxed but still stylish vibe.

If you’re looking for a pretty, welcoming spot with great vegetarian food, good service, and a fun atmosphere, The Butcher’s Daughter is definitely worth checking out. It’s one of those places that consistently delivers a good experience, and I’d happily come back again.“

“Our party of four regularly treats ourselves to great meals, so we came to Somni with very high expectations—and somehow, they still managed to exceed them.

Every course was exceptional. I genuinely couldn’t fault a single dish. But what stood out just as much was the service and attention to detail. The team anticipated so many little things before we even had to ask: helping us identify the background music when we were curious, explaining the beautiful water carafe, having fresh napkins ready when we returned from the restroom, and countless other small touches throughout the evening.

One of my friends wasn’t particularly enjoying one of the wine pairings because it wasn’t quite their usual style. The sommelier noticed without us saying anything and proactively brought out a substitute sake instead. It turned out to be one of the best sakes I’ve ever had.

The food, wine pairing, non-alcoholic pairing, and the beautiful space were all outstanding. But more than anything, it was the level of attentiveness and genuine hospitality that made the evening so memorable.

Somni truly sets an incredibly high bar for what a three-Michelin-star restaurant can be.

For me, the evening was extra special as I was celebrating my “birth-month.” The team went above and beyond to make me feel celebrated, including a thoughtful gift, but what I appreciated most was the genuine thoughtfulness and attention throughout the entire experience.

The bar has been set very high from here. I have a feeling many future dining experiences will inevitably be compared to this one.

“I had such a great experience here. They have such a huge variety of Vegan options for any taste. I needed a location in this area to meet two different colleagues, I am the only vegan, I tried this and now I can't wait to go back for more. My colleagues also loved it. They were very happy to make a reservation for me over the phone. The person helping us was kind, helpful, patient. Parking immediately in the center was a little tight, but we did find a spot. Also, street parking is available all around it.“

“Burgers are great. The Spicy BBQ burger was my favorite. Unfortunately, I could not try the curly fries since they didn't have them today. Regular fries still good though. Vanilla shake was also good. Give it a try, I recommend you get a double patty, their patty size is similar size to In-n-out.“

“Been wanting to try this place for a couple years now. Glad we finally did. Excellent food, much better than any Jinya Ramen. We had a bunch of appetizers. Indeed, their Takoyaki was amazing, Howard Yang! 😍 We had 2 seasonal specials, the Spicy Crispy Shrimp Roll and the cold Tan Tan ramen. Both were fantastic, albeit a bit too spicy for me. Service is super friendly. We will definitely be back. Want to try a bunch of other things, including the hot ramens.“

I stopped in for a late lunch. I was warmly greeted by Daniel. Daniel set the course of my entire dining experience. He offered to answer questions, and really knew the menu. He was friendly, and confident in demeanor. I could tell he enjoys being there! Every restaurant needs a Daniel💙
I had the impossible BBQ burger ( I'm not vegan, it had cheese and bacon!) and it was sprinkled with crispy, french fried onion bits. It had a brioche bun, and the whole burger was fresh and delicious! I seldom eat a whole thing of fries, but these fries, glittered with fresh parsley, were absolutely perfect, fresh and hot.
The location is clean, and they have fresh flowers, which was a beautiful touch. I cannot wait to return! Thank you, Daniel and team! A++++++“

“Was in west hollywood when my hunger kicked in. There's a few burger places and coffee shops but I decided on Los Tacos. Yummy and satisfying. The place is cozy and can use a modern revamp but keep the heritage. I ordered the 2 taco carnitas combination plate and a aqua fresca. My order came up quick and it was freash and hot. My tacos were delicious and the beans and rice were perfect. The cook was way more friendly and inviting then the cashier, but i get it, customer service can be draining. The cook reminded me to try the free condiments of fresh Pico de Gallo and other condiments available at the counter, and im glad I did. If you're ever in the west hollywood area and looking for authentic Mexican American food, with a corner dinner vibe. Then head over to Los Tacos! Friendly, welcoming and great food.“

During my long stayed and visit eating their tacos I forgot my phone, and continued with my partying. Arriving home I realized I had lost it. Honestly, I thought that someone stole it from my packet, you know weho is known for that, but when I searched my iPhone with my other devises, it showed it was at Guisados. I called them and they confirmed having my phone. Guisados honest employees made my night brighter. Hope the owner pays them well and appreciate them. We need more honest people like them.
