“Bacari Sherman Oaks was the most incredible dining experience I have had in a very long time. It was more than just great food. The staff at Sherman Oaks created a complete experience with ambiance, fantastic service, and creative dishes to choose from.

The ambiance is energetic yet relaxed, and the Mediterranean-inspired small plates are incredibly creative and fun to share. Every dish we tried was outstanding. Our server, I believe her name was Mallery, was absolutely fantastic. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and attention to detail elevated an already amazing meal into something truly special.

Congratulations to the Bacari team for building something so unique. Bacari delivers an experience well beyond great food. I will enthusiastically recommend Bacari to everyone I know who visits Los Angeles, and I'll definitely be back when I'm in town.

We had 5 nigiri sushi rolls, the crispy spicy tuna appetizer, and the wagyu sliders. It was the most incredible meal I’ve ever had. You must come here - the server we had (Umida) was insanely amazing and super helpful - she really elevated the experience and made sure we didn’t order too much food!“

“First thing first, the sushi is really fresh. We got the toro, salmon belly, and the yellowtail belly. Saba is a little fishy. The rice is a bit mushy but good enough.

The cooked food is not as great. The agedashi tofu has too much breading and taste average. Kaiju tar tar is okayyy.

The service however took forever, and they never come to check up on us. Servers reach over to get dishes for other tables. Maybe they are short staffed but they should still handle us probably.“

“Came just before close on a Monday night to pick up a pepperoni. The shop is often bustling during lunch and dinner and the last few orders where getting boxed up as I came in. Grabbed the sodas we ordered and the pizza and headed out.

The pizza is delicious. A crunchy chewy crust throughout that makes you want to dip those crusts and a not too sweet sauce. While greasy, the pepperoni and cheese taste great and the ratio of toppings is perfect. Even the flat parts of curust offer a little crunch as you bite. I'm not an expert by any means but my wife who technically came from Brooklyn as a wee lass gives it a stamp of approval. If I recall correctly we had a couple slices ages ago here and the white pie should not be missed.“

I want to give 10 stars to the owner/manager who was the highlight of our day. He made us laugh with his jokes and funny sarcasm. It felt like we were invited to his home for a delicious meal, it didn't feel like it was a restaurant! The food and the atmosphere feels like home!“

“Couldn’t be more happy about my experience today. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food was beyond fulfilling. Nothing cheers me up more than ramen and Kai took it that much higher. Something about the tonkotsu in addition to the charsiu pork absolutely reigned based on my memory of LA selections. “To be honest, Luna Grill was somewhere in the middle for me. I didn’t have a bad experience, but I also didn’t leave feeling particularly impressed. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick, which I always appreciate.

Everything was prepared well enough, yet I never had that moment where I thought, “I can’t wait to order this again.” The portions were reasonable, the ingredients seemed good quality, and the menu offers plenty of healthy options, especially if you’re looking for Mediterranean food.

What makes this a difficult review is that there wasn’t anything wrong with my visit. The meal was perfectly acceptable, and I can understand why many people enjoy this place. At the same time, with so many restaurants in Los Angeles competing for attention, it’s hard for me to say that Luna Grill would be my first choice.

Overall, it’s a solid restaurant that does a lot of things right. If you’re in the area and want a quick Mediterranean meal, it’s worth trying. My experience was neither disappointing nor memorable—just a decent meal served by friendly people in a comfortable environment.“

The Tuck shop next door 🚪 OMG do not get me started we easily spend a small fortune each time. “The bar at the Valley Inn is perhaps one of the best kept secrets in LA. Yes, it’s tiny but get there early, secure your seat and you’re in for a ride of the greatest cocktails served up by a ladies and gentlemen’s gentleman - the maker with the shaker, Bill. “The deep dish pizza was incredibly delicious.. the sauce , the toppings, the mozzarella was to die for.. i wanted a deep dish pizza and I found the perfect pie.. i was kindly greeted at the door.. the server was helpful and gave great recommendations, the entire restaurant is full of memorabilia making a great place to sit and relax with a cold brew or your favorite soda pop.. at all times the server was available with refills and a smile..i will definitely come back in the future due to the service and excellent food.. we even meet the owner as he checked in on us to see if everything turned out great and it did.. “I visited this place on 04/07/2026, and saying that I liked it would be an understatement.

The service was 100 out of 10. The waiter knew the menu very well and was able to make great recommendations. I ordered the coconut milk soup with seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it, and the portion was very generous.

We also ordered chicken and drinks. Honestly, the amount of food they brought us could easily feed three people. For $49 total, it was definitely worth it.

I also want to mention the honesty and kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my AirPods at the table, and the waitress found my car in the parking lot and personally returned them to me. That really impressed me and says a lot about the level of service and care they provide.

The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and would be happy to come back again.“

Have been eating here for 7 years now -it is our favorite go to place when we have friends or family visiting from out of town, or a celebration.
The staff has always given us something for free- sake, mochi, or an extra roll.
I dislike fish, but decided to give it a go here. I am hooked! Pun intended!

The food has always been fresh, and the prices are better than you would find at most places. It is never very crowded, except for Friday and Saturday nights.
Everyone we bring to Sumo Sushi- even from other countries say the food is better than average.
