“My family (all 8 of us) got together at Bacari on Saturday and had a great time with the food, the service, and the drinks. First, they welcomed us in and checked for food allergies and preferences. Then they helped us pick some great dishes like cauliflower, chilaquiles, Brussel sprouts, and dips. All the food was great. The service was wonderful. Finally, they brought us some great deserts. We love going there since we can chat and enjoy good food and each other’s company. They thanked us for coming both when we were leaving and then by text. Great place!”

The staff has always given us something for free- sake, mochi, or an extra roll.

The food has always been fresh, and the prices are better than you would find at most places. It is never very crowded, except for Friday and Saturday nights.
Everyone we bring to Sumo Sushi- even from other countries say the food is better than average.

My first time and I was greeted by the sweetest cashier helping me choose what I want and what specials are available.

I chose a pad Thai with shrimp and a Thai tea to drink.

The Thai tea was rich, creamy, and not to sweet and perfect to cool down the spiciness from the hot sauce.

And that pad thai - WOW. It's one of the more unique pad thai I've had, it's a tad sweet so the hot sauce helps balance it out, and it's a very rich and noodle-focused dish. The shrimp were a tad overcooked but still tasty and juicy. I loved the juiciness of the noodles too without it being a swamp of sauce.

The service was 100 out of 10. The waiter knew the menu very well and was able to make great recommendations. I ordered the coconut milk soup with seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it, and the portion was very generous.

We also ordered chicken and drinks. Honestly, the amount of food they brought us could easily feed three people. For $49 total, it was definitely worth it.

I also want to mention the honesty and kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my AirPods at the table, and the waitress found my car in the parking lot and personally returned them to me. That really impressed me and says a lot about the level of service and care they provide.

“I’ve known the owner and employees at FruttoMania for what feels like years. They were truly paved into my morning tradition. They are situated on a block where community is everything, and they are a large reason why that is so. Every morning my dog would start our walk at the same time they would open up for business. He’d wag his tail in excitement of seeing Tata and Caribel open up the shop and prepare him some slices of cucumber.

You might think, cucumber? He used to get dog treats from Tata that she personally went out of her way to improve for my dog. Not her fault he wound up with pancreatitis but even when he couldn’t have the treats she got for him she found a way to spoil him and he loved her for it. He never missed a day, and his love for that shop was endless and even tho he came for cucumbers he stayed for them.

It wasn’t just for my dog though, they took incredible care of me as well. They invested their time they had getting to know me, we’d come in for my dog who needed 3 minutes and spend half an hour talking as they got ready to welcome customers.

Not to even mention the drinks are fire! 🔥 all the ingredients are super fresh and you will not find a stronger ginger juice for your wellness shots anywhere else. FruttoMania has great prices, quality of food, and personal experience. I will miss seeing them everyday and our lives will not be the same without them. Make them part of your morning, I will be envious of every customer who reads this and pays them a visit.”

“What an amazing neighborhood bar!! I’ve been to the many iterations of this bar, and this is a Great place. Karaoke, games, tables and couches to sit on and hang out with friends, a pool table and outdoor patio.
I unfortunately didn’t catch the karaoke lady’s name but she remembered my name.
Celebrated my 19 anniversary with friends and we had a great time.
Super honest people there too- a purse was left at our table when we moved to a different part of the bar, and they had put our purse behind the bar. We will definitely be back. Drinks were a little expensive, but everything is going up in price. Worth it to have a cute neighborhood bar. It was a nice mix of straight and gay, young and older.

“This place is a hidden gem. Delicious fresh made food from scratch. They even grind their own meat here. I got the fish sandwich and my bf got the AF burger and both were delicious. The owner is super kind. They have been here for 2 years. We came on a Saturday right at lunch time and it was pretty quiet. If you want delicious chicken sandwiches, burgers and more definitely come try this place.”

“Zen Toro is SO good 😍 the sushi is always fresh and solid. I’m obsessed! I usually get the Big Papa hand roll, Double G roll, Elite roll, and Screaming Albacore roll. Their sashimi is amazing and the spicy tuna crispy rice is a must. Honestly everything is good—you can’t go wrong!”

“Order the Aguachile with extra shrimp. It was only $30 dollars for 2 people. So affordable and delicious and clean. I highly recommend you check this place out. They also have drinks and an awesome patio that is right on Ventura Blvd. I always find meter parking but just Park across the street at the shopping center if you can’t find any.

This is more than a simple taco stand it’s a full service marisqueria. My friend from Sinaloa which I consider a Mariscos expert brought me here and it’s delicious, excellent customer service. The waitresses are smoking hot and super authentic and delicious. I feel like I’m in Rosarito beach eating seafood here. So good. I highly recommend this place. This place is way too empty for the quality of food that they serve. Try the Aguachile. I asked for mild spice and they complied. I can’t handle too spicy. 🌶️”
