We had the very best time at Cea-Lo’s last night. The food was incredible. My nephew got the catfish platter but ate it before I could even get a picture! I took a picture of my plate, I got the three sides plate because I’m a sides girlie. Let me tell you, the rice and black eyed peas were so good. Super delish! Stumbled on this joint after searching "soul food near me" via Maps. Customer service was off the chain - super nice, super friendly. Felt right at home. My wife and I came by here for a family get together and had a blast. The food was absolutely delicious. We love sides and had the Mac & cheese, collard greens and my favorite, the black eyed peas and rice aka The Rolling Johns. The owners really make the place special, and we were fortunate enough to have a quick conversation with one of the owners Chef. You can feel the love in the food and the building. Hands down the best soul food I’ve had in Los Angeles.
