“I visited this place on 04/07/2026, and saying that I liked it would be an understatement.

The service was 100 out of 10. The waiter knew the menu very well and was able to make great recommendations. I ordered the coconut milk soup with seafood, and it was absolutely delicious. There was a lot of seafood in it, and the portion was very generous.

We also ordered chicken and drinks. Honestly, the amount of food they brought us could easily feed three people. For $49 total, it was definitely worth it.

I also want to mention the honesty and kindness of the staff. I accidentally left my AirPods at the table, and the waitress found my car in the parking lot and personally returned them to me. That really impressed me and says a lot about the level of service and care they provide.

The atmosphere was calm, pleasant, and very welcoming. I definitely recommend this place and would be happy to come back again.“

“Upon entering it was empty but staff greeted us right way and gave us their recommendations since it was our first time visiting. Food was exceptional, had amazing flavor and was given to us quick! If you order over $20 they give you a complementary soda/drink which was nice :) They also have a free water station if you prefer water :) I definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a chill place with some authentic Thai food!“

Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. I’ve been here plenty of times before, I feel like it’s my hidden gem but after my most recent visit for my girlfriend’s birthday l, I was just blown away with the service and attention to detail. We ordered the lamb and beef skewers, which were in the Chef’s special side menu, as our starter. Juicy and savory, the side cucumber/carrot salad was so fresh and cut through the meat flavors. Our mains were the best soup I’ve ever had, their Tum Yum soup which is addicting, you don’t want to stop drinking it and the star of the night, their beef brisket Pad See Ew that’s out of this world. We washed it all down with their natural red, another reason we go. They outdid themselves with a complimentary mango sticky rice and birthday candle, which dispite how full we were we devoured

It seems to be a unicorn eatery: the atmosphere / decor so tasteful and upscale, the location central hustle and bustle, the food bursting with flavor - yet prices were completely reasonable and the place felt calming and quaint. “We ate at The Original Hoy-Ka Thai Noodle twice during our time in Hollywood, which should tell you how good it was. The food was consistently excellent, fresh, and full of flavor.
I went for the vegetarian version of their namesake Hoy-Ka noodle soup—wide rice noodles with tofu and mushrooms instead of chicken—and I seriously dreamed about it afterward. The broth had the right balance of spicy, sour, savory, and comforting, with noodles that held up perfectly. It was one of those bowls you keep thinking about long after you leave.
We also had the tofu drunken noodles and tofu R-Ka Prao, both ordered mild and without fish sauce or oyster sauce. Everything was spot on: flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made to order. The Ruam Mitr mixed-fruit dessert was a nice way to cool down at the end.
Parking on Sunset can be a little tricky, but they have valet parking in the back and it is tip-only. Do not let parking scare you off. We would happily eat here again on every trip to Hollywood.“

“Wanted to go to republique for brunch on the way to LACMA. Obviously there was a long wait around 10:30am and we were too hungry to wait. This was the nearest place that was open. Place was empty for breakfast (I assume it’s lunch/dinner that’s more popping) and very cute inside. My kid and I are now OBSESSED with their shrimp omelette - was so airy and light. The lady that was serving us - I assume the owner - was super lovely. Kid has been begging to go back every day since. They also have Thai iced tea, interesting drinks (something pink and milky that the kid enjoyed), and fancy cappuccino machine.“

“I came here on a rainy afternoon with no expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly. And then the food came.

You know that scene in Ratatouille at the end of the movie when the big food critic takes a bite and gets that flashback to his childhood? That warm, comforted, happy feeling? That’s exactly how this food made me feel.

It was hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life. Every bite tasted like real family, home-cooked love not just restaurant food.

The service was incredible. The woman there packed up my leftovers for me (something even a lot of “nice” restaurants don’t do), opened the door when I left, and even offered to let me borrow an umbrella because it was still raining.

If you want authentic, family-style Thai food that makes you feel something, this is the spot.

The shrimp was tasty, and I loved the combination of spicy, tangy, creamy, and savory flavors. It’s such a creative idea to turn Tom Yum Goong into a pizza, and it worked so well.
