“We saw Dek Sen’s post on @sanfernandovalleyeats , so we looked them up.Dek Sen’s is an interesting name, we were told it means favorite person in Thai☺️We were reluctant to order kimchi fried rice at a Thai restaurant but so glad we did. It was amazing!!! It’s not a typical Korean kimchi fried rice. It has garlicky and tangy flavors. The runny egg yolk blended well with the rice.We also got cream cheese crab Rangoon, fried dumplings and veggie egg rolls. LOVED their sweet and sour dipping sauce. We asked for extra to bring home.Very casual, fast and friendly service. You order and pay at the counter. They don’t speak much English but they are very accommodating. We are super happy to find another restaurant close by that we love. Will definitely go back for more!“
“I've been coming here for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review! I love their food. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . Note: the seats are incredibly uncomfortable so if you dine in and have back issues like me, bring a cushion.“
“I am devoted to a different Thai restaurant but decided to give this place a shot because it was closer to us, and we were hungry. Wow, I'm so glad we chose this place over our usual spot because this place is amazing. It was so good we ordered it as take out the following night. The pumpkin curry shrimp is to die for. The squash/pumpkin is sooooo soft. The flavor of the curry is unreal, and the shrimp are a good size. The crying tiger was cooked to perfection, and the sauce that comes with it is so delicious. The chow mein noodles were also good, I do wish there was more in the order. The coconut shrimp appetizer was so crunchy, and the shrimp on the inside was cooked perfectly. As mentioned, we had this two nights in a row. Obviously, the best choice is dining in, but even take out it was still really good. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed“
“Love this place! It's my go-to Thai spot to order from. I've never eaten in the actual restaurant, but it's an intimate little place with music paraphernalia on the walls. Whether I'm picking up or ordering delivery, my food's already ready within 20-30 mins.My go-to entrees are the Green Curry (SO good) or the Pad See Ew (classic and tastes great with some sriracha), but my fave standout is their Curry Dumpling appetizer; the chicken dumplings are tasty on their own, but when they're covered in that creamy red curry sauce?? So good. Get it. You'll be glad you did. TIP: you're going to have to find street parking if you're eating in.“
“Nice new discovery, great service, nice dining room, clean and spacious.I had the shrimp spring rolls to start, lots of extra veggies on the plate, airy and light, the lettuce had a clean crisp crunch, and shrimp was delicious. The combination pho was large, the broth was rich and piping hot, lots of deep flavor, plenty of beef, tendon and tripe, swirling around with the noodles. Lots of extra condiments on the plate to add to your bowl. All in all, a wonderful dinner experience!!!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a small ramp into the restaurant.“
“We loved the Portland location and had high expectations when visiting in LA. Fortunately, Farmhouse Kitchen lived up to its reputation! We visited over lunch which provided a special menu option with soup, appetizers, and entree. Service was impeccable - so friendly and attentive. We'll be back!“
“Great views and yummy food. Menu is quite eclectic with an Asian and Middle Eastern twist. Our waitress Jambeth was nice and politely asked us when we sat down if we had a show at the Pantages. That was very thoughtful and much appreciated. As it was we were there for my birthday and so we were not in a rush and could enjoy the skyline and cuisine. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, chicken liver and charred carrot starter. Had Cacio & Pepe, Charmoula and Duck Confit as our main. Was given a complementary dessert as it was my birthday with a candle which was a lovely gesture. Would definitely go back for drinks on summer evening and enjoy the sunset.“
“Great food and really nice looking restaurant. I was a few minutes later than expected picking up my food and the server mentioned they were just about to call. Very friendly and courteous service. All of the food was great, but the Bang Bang Broccoli and the It’s a Hit (tempura jalapeño) were especially special (intentionally saying special here twice). Will definitely be back again and happy to be living so close by!“
“Portions are very large so keep that in mind when ordering. The crab curry was delicious - you can get it de-shelled too which is quite helpful! The spice level is crazy spicy so a medium is whoa, hot. Moo ping (pork skewers) was too much pork for my boyfriend lol, which is never a thing!“
“Honestly, we rarely have Thai and this place, being close to home, has been our go to spot that's never disappointed. My boyfriend placed our takeout order online tonight, Chinese Broccoli with Crispy Pork and Sweet and Sour Vegetables (with beef), both very delicious. When he arrived to pickup they kindly asked if he had made an error and were prepared to make the adjustment! What a relief to discover that extraordinary service is still alive in small businesses that care about complete dining experience ?“
“Loved this place! Super fresh ingredients and very friendly staff. Ordered the Nam Tok Salad, the Chicken Pad Kee Mow (Drunken Noodles) and the Isaan Larb Kua. Everything was really tasty and the server was great about explaining the spice levels. The Nam Tok and the Isaan Larb Kua were especially delicious because of the use of lime juice -- that tangyness paired with the spiciness and the savoriness in both dishes was a winning combo. In terms of spice level, I'd say that I usually like spicy food and handle it well, and the Medium was just right. There are additional chili sauces available if you want to dial it up a little bit. Very generous portions and I was honestly quite stuffed. The price is also ridiculously low and I have to say this is one of the most amazing value Thai places I've ever been too -- the pad kee mow was $12.99 for the chicken version!! They were making pickled chilis on one of the side tables, which is one sign you know this place is legit -- when they make their sauces and condiments from scratch, by hand. Really looking forward to my next visit here.“
“Heng Heng Chicken Rice is a hidden gem known for its exquisite Hainanese Chicken and fragrant Garlic Rice. The tender, succulent chicken paired with aromatic garlic-infused rice creates a harmonious blend of flavors that delights the palate. With a friendly staff and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a taste of authentic Hainanese cuisine.“
“So glad we took a chance on our google search today! It was such a cute little place, very inviting and the staff is warm and hospitable. They clearly care about their craft and customers. The food was fantastic! One of the best Thai spots we have tried in LA. We will be back “
“We're looking for a nice Thai food after a long walk at the Universal Studios and found this place. We ordered Pad Thai, panang, and satay! They were so tasty and delicious! My family and I are from Las Vegas and will go back there to eat when we come to California because we enjoyed eating at their outdoor patio with garden plants surrounding us.“
“My fav Thai noodle spot in LA quaint and unassuming. Located in the retail strip between arbys and bronson studios. Very tastey authentic thai/laos style dishes. You can't go wrong adding crispy pork to some of the dishes where that's an option. Thank you for the wonderful food, and friendly/attentive service.“
“I'm half Thai but not vegan, and I brought my vegan friend here. The food was pretty good in our opinion! We got Thai tea (good, considering it's vegan), egg rolls (just OK for me but I generally don't like restaurant egg rolls), and drunken noodles (pretty good). The dining room is tiny but nice and bright on a sunny day. Our waitress was friendly and patient while we looked over the menu. The prices weren't bad either, so definitely try it out if you like Thai food and are in the area looking for veg options!Vegetarian options: Everything is veganDietary restrictions: Everything is veganParking: There is a small lot in the back. I think part of Bennett has free 2 hr parking. About a block west on Cahuenga, there are metered spots (30 min, 1 hr, 2hr)“
“My family and I went out to a wonderful meal here. Apple was our server and she gave us great recommendations on what to eat and even helped prepare our plates for us. I highly recommend this restaurant and ask for Apple as your server, you won't regret it.“
“Absolutely delicious food. My long time go to Thai restaurant went out of business several years ago and we haven’t been able to find one we liked as much as it. That is until today. Their pad Thai is amazing-not dry and so flavorful which so many Thai restaurants fail at. 100% this will be my go to always!!! Thank you for such a delicious dinner.“
“I've been coming here for 17+ years... this food feels like home. The owner makes me feel at home every time. I've come here feeling a bit under the weather and she took care of me and gave me some delicious soup! And I was cured instantly! She's got magic in her restaurant!!! Thank you for everything!!!“
“BEST pad see ewe I've had in LA! I'm quite picky when it comes to Thai food. I'm one for authenticity when it comes to food in general. So I like to learn the history & stories behind the food, and the people the food represents. Very friendly & welcoming service. Bright, simple, and clean ambience. The fried mango-sticky rice rolls are an excellent and a quite ingenious version of the typical mango & sticky rice dessert! I also appreciated the check out process with their handheld device & they take Apple Pay. From the beginning as I entered I felt welcomed, again throughout the service was like being waited on by family, all smiles; and to the end of the meal, bows and smiles! 3 suggestions though: 1. The Thai tea could have been done with little less milk and more tea, and maybe offer other milk options like almond or soy milk, but it was still very flavorful and smooth! 2. I would like to see an upgrade in the glassware used for drinks like the Thai tea, hopefully in the near future. 3. Need better professional pictures up on Yelp. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical in trying this restaurant as I saw there were only 94 other reviews, yet it all averaged 5 stars! So I always make a point to try restaurants that possibly may have been overlooked or underrated. This place is definitely an authentic gem one all would enjoy! They actually deserve 10 stars I'll definitely be back again ;)“
“If you've never tried this place, this is a must!!! The food is absolutely amazing, and they use great quality ingredients. They use white meat chicken instead of the rubbery dark meat used at other restaurants, plus the customer service goes above and beyond to make your order to your satisfaction. Try the lunch special chicken with mint leaves!Vegetarian options: The vegetable fried rice is delicious“
“The mango sticky rice here is so good! The mangos were really fresh and there were plenty of slices that came with the dish. The crispy bits on top are also an unexpected yet delicious addition and pair well with the sticky rice and sauce. Looking forward to checking out the restaurant in person and trying out some of the main dishes“
“Looks like a hole in the wall place. We came here based on the reviews, and it didn't disappoint at all. We ordered a Pineapple Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles and Maasaman Curry. The food was delicious, and the quantity was perfect. The Drunken noodles had slightly less salt, but otherwise, everything was great! The service was fast. The ambiance is nothing to rave about, but it has free parking in a place like LA. Definitely recommended!!“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“Just passed through Vietnam, craving Asian food.Come try the Thai restaurant near your houseOh what a surprise, so deliciousAuthentic crab fried riceAuthentic sour hot potOkay papaya saladPadthai is a bit salty, please add a squeeze of lemon for ten points mmmmWill come back!!!“
“A nice, family owned Thai restaurant with good prices and massive portions. This is a great place to go if you’re waiting for your appointment at SDI across the street. I had the pad thai without egg to make it vegan and they happily accommodated. Will come back again.“
“Unique menu with lots of variety, wonderful staff, and sweet atmosphere. You find a table and the order at the counter to have dishes brought to you. The staff is very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. Some items are marked as such and you can ask for modifications of most dishes when you order. Loved all the drink options, with the choice of adding boba and swapping for non-dairy milk too. I found free street parking on Lucerne. Looking forward to returning.Vegetarian options: Very accommodating for vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free preferences. “This is one of my favorite vegan restaurants. It's actually a Thai restaurant and it's so amazing. Start with the soup. It's so delicious and authentically thai. I've never had a bad meal here and it's definitely one of my staples for Los Angeles. Yes, it is completely vegan!Vegetarian options: Menu is all vegan“
“Went here for Sunday lunch. Service and food were great. The inside is pretty small but clean and bright. Most people were doing take out so seating is probably fine even during busy times. We got both Thai and sushi entrees and they did not disappoint. Will definitely be back.“
“I only came here once as I don't live in LA. However, the food was great and the people were very kind. It's a plus that it was also kind of rainy that day as it made the ambiance very pretty. I would love to come back again one day.“
“Wonderful quick lunch experience here. Owner is Thai, main chef is Mexican, exactly as it should be lolI got the lunch special pad see ew at $10.50 + $0.50 for fried rice, or $14 after tax / tip. Enjoyed the tofu soup, and was impressed by the quantity of the beef pad see ew. It was well-executed and I enjoyed dining in. I really wish this restaurant the best and will be back next time I’min the area!Vegetarian options: Tofu always an optionParking: Few“
“OMG this is thee absolute best vegan spot I have ever experienced. I ordered the tofu chow mein. Lots of tofu and veggies and these eggless noodles taste like your regular egg noodles without the guilt and cholesterol! I will definetly be a regular! Amazing food! Gracie N.“
“Lovely place with good food and great service. Biked here and appreciated all of the space to sit next to my bike on the patio (looked like there was lots of car parking too). Loved the Thai Limenade and the enjoyed the Tom Kha soup and Pad Khee Mao. The server was so accommodating of my food preferences and was able to make my dishes vegan. Food came out fast and was nice sized portions.“
“So good! I tried a number of menu items and loved each. The shrimp soup was perfectly spicy and packed with wonderful flavors, the appetizers (hot wings and chicken skewers) were outstanding and my entree - pad see ew with beef was just perfect. The service was ideal - helpful fast and informative. I'll definitely be back very often!“
“We have just discovered this place, it is really appreciable that it is halal and offers great flavors from Chinese and Thai cuisines. Especially try the Mongolian, Chow Mein, and Tom Yum Soup. The staff is friendly and the service is very fast“
“Have been twice and everything I've tried has been amazing--as in the conversation at our table all stopped and we spent several minutes raging and exchanging amazed looks. Very fresh and delicious; very prompt and friendly service. Highly recommended -- I will be back many times for sure!!Vegetarian options: Everything.“
“Very much enjoyed the food and experience here. Small quaint place with charm and authenticity. I had the vegan pad Thai which was well prepared, and the tofu and vegan chicken were tasty and nicely incorporated. Would love to try the curries next time.“
“We decided to give this location another try and we were blown away by all of the delicious meals they prepared. The shrimp pad see ew was flavored to perfection. The crab fried right was just right and the spicey fried rice was balanced with the right amount of heat. You can always request the kitchen to turn up or turn down the spice level according to your taste buds. Try the lychee martini, you will thank me later. The service was five-star from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a warm welcome and our waitress made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our dining experience. The restaurant is small and intimate, perfect for a local date night. We had a great time guys, thank you and we will see you guys again soon.“
“This humble place will surprise you. I was looking for a pho place in the area and this chick pho place is very friendly, accommodating, and food is affordable. Although The beef pho broth feels like just water and beef bouillon. I love that they were able to accommodate my need even just to buy soup broth only.“
“Absolutely our favorite Thai restaurant. The food is fresh and delicious, the portions are great, and the atmosphere is really nice and friendly. There’s something for everyone on the menu when we order takeout, and it’s lovely being able to pop in late for a bite. We’ve gotten all our friends hooked!“
“Was taken there for the first time last night. Nobody in the place at 6pm. By 7pm, there were no empty tables. After having the magic and me krob appetizers, I could see why. Then the entrees came. Branzino, duck, spicy crab noodles and curry shrimp. Hidden treasures were treasures, indeed. Service excellent. Personal and friendly. Superb food. Was my first time. Will definitely NOT be my last.“
“Came here on a random week night and was pleasantly surprised! Portions were appropriately sized but could be bigger, I came with a party of 4. We ordered 6 dishes and finished all the dishes, and the pricing of the dishes was amazing! Now for taste, the dishes look simple but were very flavorful and definitely packed a punch. Some of our favorites included pad see ew (food wok air flavor), garlic Chinese broccoli with crispy pork, and the Panang curry. Service was also quick and kind which we appreciated. Would definitely return again for a quick meal!“
“Will definitely need to return and try their other dishes!!!This little gem sits in the corner of a fairly small shopping center.I tried their chicken pad Thai, and baby, when I tell you that their spice had my nose running. I choose 4 out of 5 spice level and I should have gone with 3 lol. I'm happy that when they Say spicy, they mean it. I've been to many places that claim spicy, but this one is legit.I went during the lunch special hour, which I believe runs from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The lunch special includes your choice of soup or salad, I chose the soup which was a fried egg soup, It was very delicious. My main course was the chicken pad Thai, and it was very tasty. You could actually taste and see the color of the sauce they use, the noodles were a dark brown. The chicken itself was tender, but, I believe they use chicken breast which runs a little on the dry side, but the amount of sauce they use makes up for it. I also ordered the Thai milk team, and it was divine. The portions were great, no complaints, this is definitely a deal. I will be returning to try other dishes. The staff were very friendly, and right away you notice that they are making an effort to be friendly with their clients. The waiter asked if this was my first time, which lets me know that they make an effort to remember their customers. Both waiters were very attentive, and even though they were somewhat busy, they ensured to follow up with me. I was so full after my meal, I did not have any room for dessert. But, hopefully next time!Parking isn't the most difficult, but it is limited in their parking lot. Luckily, there is residential parking adjacent to the restaurant. Just keep an eye out on the parking restrictions, you don't want a ticket. The restroom was very clean when I used it, and they had a scented candle that was lit.The restaurant itself was pretty small, and seating was a little bit tight, but you would comfortably be able to sit a table of four. But, that's also coming from someone who's fairly thin. Unfortunately, there is no outdoor seating. But, that's not a big deal.I highly recommend trying this place out, just keep in mind that their spicy is actually spicy lol. Also, their muscled up fortune kitty is hilarious, love it!. ?Kid-friendliness: Not very kid friendly as the restaurant is small and the takes are a bit close to each other.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but not extremely easy.“
“Just ordered from here for the first time! The area seemed a little sketchy - but they have their own parking lot (it's a ghost kitchen) and the pickup was fairly easy! The staff working there was soooo nice and kind. And the most important part: the food was really freaking good. Probably the best Tom yum soup I've had in a long time. SO MUCH FLAVOR. My new to go Thai spot for sure!! I also ordered some noodles on the side to put in the soup and it had fried garlic on top - YUM. Can't wait to go back :) love that they're open late too!“
“Stopped by for lunch while I waited for my dog around the color! Ordered a soup, seafood fried rice, street food pad thai, a roti and a coconut flan .. it was all super yummy! Not too much oil, sharable and enough left overs to eat later!Service was friendly, approachable and super attentive. I’m not sure why it was slow but I’d be here once a week if I lived near by!I highly recommend it!“
“We ordered online for delivery, but wow - it’s AMAZING FOOD. The flavors are delicious and portions are good. We will definitely be ordering from here again or visiting in person.Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and I love that they offer options for this. The food didn’t seem to bother my stomach too much“
“It's plated very beautifully and the food is all amazing, especially for being vegan. It's a tiny little restaurant, only three little tables, but it's all very good and very very well priced, especially for CaliforniaVegetarian options: It's a vegan place. They have a number of dishes labeled 'chicken' and whatnot but when my sister opened it up it was clearly not on the inside, but still goodWheelchair accessibility: There's ~3 accessible parking spots and a small ramp“
“Ordered: Tofu pad thaiTotal came out to: $13.41 I ordered take out, but waited inside for my food. It felt really homey inside, and I liked how it clean it was. My pad thai came with a side of hot sauce and pickled jalepenos which were bomb!!! The pad thai itself had great flavor - not too salty, oily, or sweet. Also the nicest people working inside (': I think the pad thai was the best pad thai I've had in a wile, and I'm looking forward to ordering the egg rolls next!“
“Lovely lunch here, the space is pretty small so if you have a big group I would call ahead. Everything had lots of good flavor and spice! The staff member my friend and I interacted with was really nice and helpful! She had the Pad Thai and I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodle) then we split the Army of Veggie, portion sizes were great, entrees are big enough for 2 people to share. If you aren't a fan of spicy food I would recommend asking that the spice level on the Pad Kee Mow be knocked down but if you love spicy food it is perfect.A bonus was mentioning that I needed to make sure everything was gluten free as I have celiacs and the gentlemen said that all the sauces they make and use are gluten free to start so nothing needed to be modified! I didn't experience any kind of reaction afterwards and I can usually tell within 20 minutes or so!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free friendly“
“What a lovely meal. Our server, Alan, is the greatest. Friendly, charming, w/ great advice for our meal. Food was delicious and the pacing made nothing languished at our table. The music is the exact right volume to make sure your conversation stays yours while the surrounding voices create an exciting din. Will be back, 100% Thank you!!Wheelchair accessibility: Bathrooms are wide enough for a manual chair, staff is delightful & accommodating. For a small, older restaurant it's remarkably accessible.“
