“My Mother’s Day (party day) order included 5 dozen mini cupcakes, 2 cakes, and some whoopie pies! I got home and realized my order was missing a dozen red velvet cupcakes. I called the studio city location for a refund on those since I had no time to go back to the bakery before the party (please open a location in Santa Clarita @susiesarich 😂). Instead, they same day delivered my cupcakes PLUS sent additional cookies and Mother’s Day treats for no additional cost to me😭❤️ I was SO amazed by the gracious customer service. Des Croissants Paris is a small boulangerie and patisserie you’ll find yourself coming back to over and over again. The service is great, and the warm, cozy ambiance is made even better by the aroma of the butter croissants. Everything looks amazing, but my absolute favorites are the croissant and the pain au chocolat. I’ve finally found my go-to croissant spot, and I can’t wait to return again and again.“

The young lady is beautiful on the outside as well as in the inside and her cookies and everything else. “House of Bread is great. They have fresh, made daily bread of all types as well as pastry items. It is all good. They even have vegan items.

The service at House of Bread is just wonderful. The small staff gets the job done and the know what they have and what is the best. They make the most tasty banana bread. You can get it vegan or not. Both are great. I prefer the regular banana bread because I like butter on mine.

The place is super cute, very clean and you will smell bread when you walk in. they have some of the best pastries. They are all great. Their Persian bread is the best.

The place is small so be on the lookout or you will miss it.

“Was almost lost when trying to find the outlet since it's located in a plaza that might not be visible if you're by the road side. Worry not about parking at the plaza since they apparently validated parking (yep! plus point for sure).

The gorgeously designed outlet only served grab and go since there's no seating on the spot. There were some outdoor benches at the center of the plaza though if you just couldn't wait to enjoy the goodies.

They offered bunch of sweets from Canele, Madeleine, Financier, Cookies, Cheesecake, and more; all of which did come in multiple flavors. So yeah, be prepared to be indecisive in front of the showcase. They were super helpful though in assisting you making your choices by recommending the favorite ones. It was nice that the price was decent enough for LA standard, so you could definitely opt for more than one or a couple.

For my initial visit, I started with the Ube Financier, which was kept in the chiller, maybe due to the cream on top. It came in spongy yet not too airy texture with luscious ube cream topping. It was decent, but not really my top choice. My second was their Earl Grey Milk Chocolate Tigre, which was basically buttery cake kinda similar to financier IMO, with milk chocolate ganache at the center. I definitely loved this more than the financier, especially the combo of earl grey and milk chocolate which to my surprise was awesome and helped balancing the taste to be not overly sweet. Another one I tried was their thick salted chocolate chip cookies, which decadently had crispy edge though I wish being more gooey inside as it's tad dry. Nonetheless, flavor wise I felt like classic chocolate chip with a sprinkle of sea salt indeed never failed. The creme de la creme, however, was certainly their canele which I was beyond thrilled to finally find in LA. I had my favorite one in London which I thought unbeatable, and it's impressive that LA now had something comparable to satisfy the craving without having to fly over 5K miles away. It flawlessly had that crispy coating, moist center, and just the right sweetness level. I surely made the right choice going with matcha as Brown Bag definitely elevated the overall taste with this matcha flavor and that matcha cream top. It was no brainer that their canele is NEVER TO BE MISSED if you ever paid Brown Bag a visit.“

“i was in need of a tres lèches cake and because this place had such good reviews on it i decided to try it out. they don’t let you place pre orders over the phone and require you to come in. i thought that was a little frustrating but then i realized it’s because when you pre order they require you to either pay half of it or pay in full right away.

i ordered the cake for the next day and they were able to do it which was extremely helpful. the cake was very delicious so i can totally see why people like it so much. i paid about 55 for an 8-inch round tres leches cake

the only downside (which i had seen in other reviews) is in the 30 minutes it took for me to get home from the bakery, the cake had leaked a lot of milk and leaked onto my car seat. later in the day, when we were taking the cake out of the box to put on a a plate, the cake had shifted a little, messing up the frosting and the spilled milk had completely soaked the box making it extremely difficult to get the cake out. the little cardboard piece the cake sits on was soaked so trying to separate that piece with the cardboard box too was very hard. thankfully, this wasn’t a fancy super intricate cake so i wasn’t that frustrated but i can totally understand why this factor is a huge negative for people“
