Love love love! Tried it first time in NYC, and so happy to see the place thrive in Abbot Kinney. Long line is common, so I would plan ahead, order online, or avoid peak hours. I got la dante and la summer between my partner and I. Both were amazing. Just like everyone mentioned here, the portion is huge! But ingredients are so fresh, and staffs are so amazing and friendly.
Service was quick and friendly. It was definitely nice with how busy they are. I like the outdoor seating option and would ask if they can cut your sandwich if you plan to stay. I had the La Summer and it was the perfect meat/cheese ratio not too much bread and the right amount of crunch. I liked mine but definitely fell for the La Favolosa. I live about 45 minutes away and would drive that far just for that sandwich.

The Italian sandwiches were fresh, the bread was fresh out of the oven and still hot, excellent taste, nice ambiance, line was very long but worth the wait. Staff was efficient and the line moved along quickly. Service was good once you got to the front. Staff was friendly yet professional. And did made to order sandwiches. The best sandwiches!
