The Italian sandwiches were fresh, the bread was fresh out of the oven and still hot, excellent taste, nice ambiance, line was very long but worth the wait. Staff was efficient and the line moved along quickly. Service was good once you got to the front. Staff was friendly yet professional. And did made to order sandwiches. The best sandwiches!

Love love love! Tried it first time in NYC, and so happy to see the place thrive in Abbot Kinney. Long line is common, so I would plan ahead, order online, or avoid peak hours. I got la dante and la summer between my partner and I. Both were amazing. Just like everyone mentioned here, the portion is huge! But ingredients are so fresh, and staffs are so amazing and friendly.

Service was quick and friendly. It was definitely nice with how busy they are. I like the outdoor seating option and would ask if they can cut your sandwich if you plan to stay. I had the La Summer and it was the perfect meat/cheese ratio not too much bread and the right amount of crunch. I liked mine but definitely fell for the La Favolosa. I live about 45 minutes away and would drive that far just for that sandwich.

Got 5 sandwiches, ranged from very good to this sad caprese with 5 slices of mozzarella for $20. Happy I tried it once but would not drive back to Venice for it.

Very tasty Italian ciabatta style sandwiches. Warning they are huge and will feed two people normally. Pro tip: order online and skip the line to walk in and pick up at the left end of the counter

Def not worth the wait. Sandwich was ok but lacked some flavor. Felt a bit bland. Might try again though

The LA Summer sandwich was yummy. The sandwiches are large enough to be shared by two.

Overall good sandwiches and good experiences. These sandwiches you eat more for the simplicity of the ingredients and the bread. It's more subtle and nuanced than more decadent sandwiches. Try em out

Is this the most overhyped sandwich in the history of sandwiches? Probably. Ordered the paradisa. Would've given 2 stars but the portion is generous. Bread, which makes the sandwich is completely unremarkable and not flavorful. Pistachio cream gets tired real quick. Place was clean and I got served quick. Won't be back.

Ordered a Caprese sandwich that was more bread (which was good) than mozzarella, basil, tomato, and dressing. Very disappointed especially since this place touts itself as “The Best Sandwiches in Los Angeles.” Not inclined to go here again.

Venice, Italy or Venice, California? Doesn't really matter where you are as long as you got a great sandwich. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the area but the vibes were immaculate at the shop. I've seen some pretty long lines on social media on this place and I was fully prepared to wait 30+ minutes. Luckily, I only waited less than 10. I had the La Favolosa sandwich and an ice cold can of coke. It was a good sandwich, a great sandwich even. The eggplant was really good inside the sandwich as I thought it would have been kind of weird but I'm glad I was able to face an internal conflict (not all of them were solved with this sandwich). The only quarrel I have with this is that it's so far away from where I live, otherwise my wallet would probably suffer from how much I would get it. The sandwich with the drink was about $21ish which is a little pricey but the quality of ingredients is were spectacular.

Decent, but overhyped. I went to check this place out after getting click-baited by a youtube video titled "The World's Most Famous Sandwich!" I've walked by this location before while shopping on Abbott Kinney and the lines on the weekend are terrible. There is only street parking but even during the weekday this was difficult to find. We decided to come back on a weekday at 11am and thankfully there was no line. Orders are placed inside with only window counter seating inside. There is ample seating outside which was nice. The sandwich I've seen most recommended was the "La Paradiso" which was $18 and MASSIVE. One sandwich is really all you need for two people. They slathered a generous serving of the pistachio cream and a pile of mortadella on top of that. The bread is excellent but overall the sandwich was underwhelming. It is difficult to grasp and eat and the pistachio cream overpowered everything else yet somehow still tasted bland. Is it a decent sandwich? Yes, I wouldn't mind eating it again. But I wouldn't rank it in my top 20 sandwich's and I definitely would not wait in any sort of line for it.
