The pad Thai had a weird sour taste to it and the shrimp in my tom yum was a little undercooked. The flavor profile on the rice was really delicious though and one cream cheese wonton was yummy. “My new favorite Thai food spot! I always order yellow curry so that’s what my review is based on. I am vegetarian so chose it with tofu. I had additional requests and they came through. I asked to make it mild and leave onions out and add vegetables too. Got everything I asked for about $15 out the door ! Sauce was thick and tasty, rice included. Atmosphere wasn’t the best but I had my food to go anyway. Waited about 15 minutes. Worth every minute and penny. We found parking in the back.“

“What a treasure! Randomly came across this fantastic restaurant while staying in Koreatown. Great view of the Hollywood sign from the terrace, incredible atmosphere, tasty and cheap HH. I ordered a Tom Yum soup that just about blew my hair back and my date ordered a Tom Kha that was even better! We got the Pad Sew Ew to go for later, which was also decent as a late night snack. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an excellent, interesting, delicious, relaxed but intimate date night restaurant.“

“I came here on a rainy afternoon with no expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted so warmly. And then the food came.

You know that scene in Ratatouille at the end of the movie when the big food critic takes a bite and gets that flashback to his childhood? That warm, comforted, happy feeling? That’s exactly how this food made me feel.

It was hands down the best Thai food I’ve ever had in my life. Every bite tasted like real family, home-cooked love not just restaurant food.

The service was incredible. The woman there packed up my leftovers for me (something even a lot of “nice” restaurants don’t do), opened the door when I left, and even offered to let me borrow an umbrella because it was still raining.

If you want authentic, family-style Thai food that makes you feel something, this is the spot.

“The food here is pretty authentic for LA Thai food, and the waitresses are really nice. Also, everything came quickly from the kitchen. When you take into account that everything everywhere has gotten more expensive lately, I think the prices are pretty fair. They only take cash though so be prepared for that.“

“I finally checked out Summer Buffalo after my sister kept raving about it had to see what the hype was about! I ordered the tofu pad Thai with extra sauce and the mango sticky rice.
The pad Thai was solid the extra sauce definitely helped. The mango sticky rice was good but I wish it was juicier? Maybe a bit more of the coconut sauce could’ve made it less dry. That said, the space itself is really cute dark, cozy, with a nice ambiance. And the staff is SO sweet and welcoming. Seriously, thank you for being so kind!
