“Drove from Vegas over here for a concert and stumbled upon this hidden gem. It’s located in a small plaza with limited parking/space. The storefront has a couple comfortable spaces to sit & enjoy their food. The waiter was very kind & checked up on us to make sure we were enjoying the food. We ordered the chicken poppers as an appetizer, dark meat hainan chicken over garlic rice, and the crispy chicken over garlic rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The hainan chicken also came with 2 sauces to dip the chicken in - a hainan sauce which was sour, slightly sweet, and slightly salty. The other sauce was a smoky spicy sauce which was amazing. Both entrées came with a clear chicken soup which was also very enjoyable. Service was very quick, efficient, and caring. Please give this hidden gem a try, you won’t regret it. 10/10 service and taste.“

“Do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal here! The food is great, the service is great, and the setting is great! Did we mention this place is great? Seriously, though, we had the kao moo tod (fried pork), kao mon gai tod (fried chicken), and the roti curry appetizer - all were simply amazing! Flavored and spiced to perfection! We fully intend to go back and try some of their other dishes, but this place gets our highest recommendation! Check it out!“

“Farmhouse kitchen is the best Thai restaurant I’ve ever had. On top of the food being great and delicious, the presentation makes you want to order everything from the menu. Chef Bo was so nice to come out to our table and all I can say is she was a very nice, young & talented person. She even made me a special dessert for my birthday. Thanks Bo❤️ I highly recommend this place if you want an authentic, excellent and delicious food. In addition, the place is so full of life. The decor is amazing! I can’t wait to go back and try some of the fancy drinks and dishes on the menu.“

“feedback regarding my recent visit to your Gardena location on Father's Day. I traveled all the way from Orange County specifically to try your mango sticky rice.
While I found the mango sticky rice to be good, I felt the price was a bit higher than other places I have visited, and I likely wouldn't make the long drive solely for that dish again. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the coconut jellies; the flavor was great and the size was satisfying, though I believe the pricing for those could also be improved.
Thank you for the meal and for taking the time to read my feedback.“

“This place served us authentic and delicious Thai dishes. The service lady was very nice and polite. We ordered a lot of food for lunch and they managed to bring them out on a good time even though there were a good number of customers. Massaman curry, pad Thai, pad sew ew, larb, fried rice, sticky rice with fresh mango, were all amazing delicious. The ceiling were decorated with colorful upside down umbrellas which made for some great pictures. Their prices were very reasonable.“

“If restaurants were books, Krata would have the world's most misleading cover.
From the outside, it's easy to drive right past this little strip mall spot. Inside? Beautiful, clean, welcoming, and serving some seriously delicious Thai food.
The Yellow Curry and Massaman Curry were both outstanding, full of rich, balanced flavor. The service was warm and attentive.
Consider this your sign to ignore the curb appeal and go inside. Your taste buds will thank you. We'll absolutely be back.“

“We had a great experience! I knew the food was going to be good as soon as the owner mentioned he also used to own a restaurant in Portland back in the days. And it was!
We ordered the green beans with tofu, chicken larb, crying tiger, tom yum soup, crab fried rice (real crab!!!), and mango sticky rice. You could really taste each dishes distinct flavor!
Highly recommend supporting this place if you’re in the area. Thank you for a great meal!“

“Best Thai in town 🤩
The food is amazing, and the staff is super friendly. I’ve tried A LOT of Thai restaurants in LA, and this is by far my favorite.
My recommendations: the green curry, the papaya salad, and of course, the mango sticky rice. 🤤
So happy to have Wirin in the neighborhood“

“I had the Salmon Kra Pow which was amazing. My partner had the Smiling Tiger and really enjoyed it. His sister brought us here and said she loved the food. She is vegan and had Pad See Ew with tofu.
They had traditional thai tea, fries, chicken wings and more. Great spot to eat and people watch while dining outside.“

“Pretty good restaurant with authentic flavors. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the dishes are interesting, like the special lobster pad Thai and soft shell crab pad Thai. The lobster one seemed especially popular, so I might give it a try next time. There’s only 1 bathroom, so good luck during rush hour.“

“We havent been there for awhile and just dropped in today for a quick lunch. Tough to see so few tables occupied, but the waiters are just as friendly as before. Tough economy for restaurants. they still got good food at good price. Hope they pull through this tough time, and people come out to dine more often!“

“Small little thai place with the friendliest servers ever. Theyre also always playing some kind of food adventure shows on their TV and often in Asia or in Thailand. Great place for a quick bite. Good food. Good people. Good shows. I wish this place the best.“

“been ordering from here for a long time. it's a neighborhood staple. There are many Thai restaurants now but I always order here when I'm craving. the Mussamun curry is like crack lol. it hasn't changed much throughout the years which most of us know can happen frequently at our favorite restaurants. Nice family as well. Don't let these great family run restaurants go away.“

“I recently visited this small family-owned restaurant while craving Thai food. As soon as I walked in, the owner greeted me warmly and provided menus. Shortly after, the owner's son pointed out the daily lunch specials, which were conveniently listed at the back of the menu, featuring smaller portions at a lower price.
Our meals arrived in under ten minutes and were delicious. The only downside was the salad; it had a few wilted leaves mixed in with the fresher ones. Overall, it was a great spot for a quick and satisfying lunch.“

“Delicious, fresh, unassuming. Food is great on its own but then the spices they offer on the side? Great.
Not bodybuilding food, not protein packed, I will say that. But that's probably not why you'd come here; between, meat, veggies, rice, a well rounded meal.“

“Edit: They are closed till July 2026, they took the month of June for vacation! Good for them miss my soup lol
There are so many amazing things about this place, it is truly special. My husband grew up in Manhattan/Redondo Beach and has ate at both locations since childhood. We rediscovered in a recent search for soup one day about two months ago and I have not been the same since. I am obsessed.
While we have had a variety of dishes, and they are all super amazing, the first I want to personally highlight is the coconut chicken soup. I say it first because not only is it absolutely phenomenal taste wise (I like to get an extra side of broth only to sip on in the morning), the health benefits for someone like me, who struggles with gut and digestive issues, the galangal and like leaf pair with the amazing broth and slight spice from the chili is SO healing. That is partially why I get the extra broth so often, having it in the morning has been life changing. I’ve been able to eat a lot more and the last couple of years, that has been a struggle for me. This soup is a gift from heaven, for real.
We also really love the Massan (Muslim) Curry. The way these owners prepare their ingredients is such perfection. The peanuts are so perfectly boiled and cooked, and the sauce is to die for. My husband always jokes we should just get two because he essentially eats the entire thing in five minutes or less. I’m lucky to get a bite in. I also recommend adding extra peanuts. It’s an up charge but they are divine.
Any. Chicken. Dish. And I don’t say that lightly at all. I have serious issues with texture when it comes to eating, despite having an extensive taste palate…I don’t enjoy chewy textures or fat. The way these owners prepare chicken is prepared: cleaned, tenderized, cut, cooked…I have not got a “bad bite” as I call it when I get something too chewy for my liking. Their chicken is so perfect, I can actually order and enjoy satay skewers from here. I love satay but it’s rare to find a place that makes their chicken well enough that I will order it. Their cucumber salad is also amazing and I also recommend ordering an extra side of that as well.
I can’t say enough good things about how delicious and gut healing their food is. It really has helped me start to regain weight and have an appetite again after a couple of bad health years; it’s cooked so perfectly I could cry; and the flavors are just so amazing. Ingredient quality 10/10. I love this place.“

“Love a fully vegan spot, and this place has a big menu and all the charm of a cute ma-and pop-restaurant. Also lots of fun restaurants in the same parking lot with seating, so something for everyone if they aren’t a vegan believer.
As for the food, all freshly made and piping hot. Love that you can add fake meats to anything for not too much extra.
Only nit-pick was I wasn’t a fan of the fried rice (not enough tofu for my taste and a bit bland), but portion size was plentiful.
In a world of vegan restaurants closing left and right, it warms my heart to see a delicious and kitschy store make fresh and delicious vegan food!“

“I tried the crab pad Thai that I saw on instagram it was really good and a new flavor I never had before. The Thai ice test was good I love the sealed top, so fun. 🤩 my husband liked his and it was the perfect spice for him, normally at other Thai spots in the South Bay it’s never hot enough for him so Im happy about that for him.“

“Did not expect to be this nice because google image show a very simple restaurant. I went there yesterday with my family we were looking for Thai restaurant near by my house. I just move here for school so not familiar with area but my family want to eat our culture food. I am on a budget and this place coming with high rating. I like it a lot. Service was good. Crab fried rice for $13.99 is to die for. I usually spend closer to $20 for crab fried rice else where and they even use the real crab. Chicken wing are amazing. Red curry is also taste like home. I will definitely coming back. We sit there for closer to 2 hours and my nephew was entertain. They have games for kid and coin machine too. What a good find!“

“The chicken curry is absolutely phenomenal. Khao Soi is the real spelling. The chicken so tender and juicy. My daughter says I can’t use these words or I’ll get cancelled but the food is GREAT. 😂 Service is top notch. Clean restaurant and chill vibe. I signed up for their rewards because I’m coming back for the fried dumplings, the pad see ew, and the shrimp pad Thai. Wesley is super fun and gives great suggestions.“

“Holy Basil in Santa Monica completely won me over. From the moment we walked in, the space felt inviting… warm lighting, a relaxed but polished vibe, and just the right buzz without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of place that feels special without trying too hard.
The service set the tone. Our server was attentive, genuinely friendly, and knew the menu inside and out, guiding us through a few dishes without ever rushing us.
And the food… where do I start. The Bangkok crab fried rice was the standout of the night. Every bite was loaded with sweet, generous chunks of crab, and the rice had that perfect smoky wok char that you only get when someone in the kitchen really knows what they’re doing. Rich, savory, and impossible to stop eating.
We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. If you’re anywhere near Santa Monica, Holy Basil is worth the trip.“

“I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. The fried calamari was delicious, super crispy and fresh. I will definitely return just for this plate alone. I had the pad thai and the beef broccoli plate. Overall the food and drinks were great. The restaurant is small but very clean and friendly staff. Plenty of parking available. No rerservation required.“
