“The burgers are flavorful and tasty. The ingredients are fresh, and the meat is of excellent quality. The meat is so tender that it virtually melts in your mouth, and the sauce adds to the flavor. Juicy and slightly pink in the middle, there was nothing that I did not like. This is the place to go if you're looking for a great burger in LA. P.S: "First Light Farms" provides their beef, which is certified humane, halal, and free of antibiotics, GMOs, and hormones (a New Zealand meat company).“

“We are visiting town from Texas and ran across Irvs burgers in Balboa. Service was friendly and quick. Breakfast burritos was perfect and the patty melt was amazing. “After reading that Chowhound rated Hiho Burger as the best burger in Calif, I decided I wanted to try one for myself. And I must say the burger was delicious. But I loved the fries even more. “Was not sure what to expect here as we were just hungry and swung by. Friendly service: the woman who helped us offered recommendations and explained items on the menu. Atmosphere is nothing special, just a clean area with tables and chairs. We got the Korean Galbi burrito, which was good but had too many raw onions, and the sou garlic Korean chicken wings, which were as good as any we’ve had in the area! Fried potato balls were a unique addition to the meal. Would recommend them if you’re wanting a little treat, but they’re not essential. Pretty good prices for generous servings!“

“I saw this place while driving and saw a line waiting for their food, so I decided to give it a try.. Ì asked those in line, what was good there.. The answer was either the teriyaki bowl or plates, and the teriyaki burgers.. I got the teriyaki chicken bowl.. it looked and smelled great driving home.. After eating it, I didn’t understand the line of people waiting.. It was okay, but in my opinion, no big deal.. I’ll be honest, I did eat it ALL, and the serving size was BIG, so by no means was it bad.. To be fair though, I’m gonna have to try again, and see what I missed the first time..“

“Frankin It Up makes a really good burger! I have walked by a bunch of times and today finally was able to stop in for dinner. I had the Wag burger and spuds.
The burger was delicious and the spuds were great.
Jeff is super friendly as well.
Highly recommend. Also as a note, this is super close to Hinano Cafe which always gets rated as a great burger… Frankin It Up is a far better burger so if you’re in the area and can choose one, go with Frankin It Up.“

“After a day at Playa Del Rey beach, we walked over to The Shack for a quick dinner. The burgers were so good (even the kids agreed)! The pineapple burger and its teriyaki sauce was amazing. Will definitely be back!“
