Very good italian food. The Osso Buco was really fantastic
Came to LA on work and spent the evening in Manhattan Beach. As luck had it just passed by the restaurant and walked in. Absolutely delicious food.
Nice atmosphere! We were there for an early dinner . The bar was very full , standing room only during happy hour. Martinis all around and appetizers. We sat in the back further away from the bar . The food was delicious! Upscale Italian fine dining . I have been in the restaurant before . Only on my latest visit i realized the restaurant has more rooms and tables further back past the kitchen . Wine area and an intimate romantic feeling for sure. Mangiamo Ristorante is a long-standing neighborhood gem that has been delighting diners for over 40 years. The pasta al dente in the frutti de mare is highly praised, with plenty of seafood and excellent flavor, considered the best in LA by some guests. Other popular dishes include the potato crusted halibut, Pumpkin Tortellini, and Gnocchi con Short Rib Ragu, which are great starters. The Osso Bucco is wonderful, and the steak and fries or vodka pasta are crowd favorites. Appetizers like peach burrata and zucchini blossoms delight the palate. Desserts such as cheesecake and chocolate soufflé are amazing, although the butter cake may not be for everyone. The service remains attentive and professional, with staff like the manager ensuring a memorable experience.
