“What a fantastic discovery. I was craving calzones and used to have a spot in Los Feliz which I would go out of my way for. After trying a few places which fell short of the mark in South Bay, I almost gave up on finding authentic Italian food locally. The search was worth it as this is now going to be one of my forever places to come on a regular basis. From the calzone, to the pizza, salads and even the Cannoli Siciliani Pistacchio, everything has been nothing short of amazing. To top it off, it’s family run and they are all the sweetest and most warm people I’ve encountered at any local restaurant. If you haven’t tried them yet, you need to stop by.“
“Came on Father’s Day. They were out of pizza (unfortunate, but I’ll come back another day to try it). The server was super nice, attentive, and patient with my mom who has a lot of questions due to being gluten free. The food was AWESOME. I loved the penne rosa.“

If you are a true pasta lover, you likely already know about Pasta e Pasta by Allegro in Torrance—and if you don't, you are seriously missing out! Ever since returning from our trip to Italy, our standards for great pasta have skyrocketed. Yet, this incredible spot consistently delivers and thoroughly satisfies those high expectations every single time. This marked our 4th visit as we continue our mission to try every item on the menu! 🍝✨
Mentaiko Pasta: My wife went with this signature dish, which remains an absolute fan favorite and a house specialty for good reason—rich, savory, and deeply satisfying.
Carbonara: My pick for the night, and it was executed flawlessly! Rather than using traditional wide ribbons, Pasta e Pasta crafts theirs with rounded noodles cooked to ideal, toothsome al dente perfection. The sauce strikes a magnificent balance—neither overly heavy and cloying nor too thin—complemented by generous, thick-cut chunks of savory bacon. 🥓
To round out the experience, every meal comes with warm, freshly served bread and a crisp house salad tossed in a delicious, tangy onion dressing that perfectly whets your appetite before the pasta arrives.
Pasta e Pasta by Allegro is the kind of neighborhood treasure where you could easily eat every single day without ever getting tired of it. An absolute standout in Torrance—giving it another well-deserved 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was our second visit to Pasta e Pasta by Allegro in Torrance, and you know what that means—the food here is consistently amazing! As a spot famous for its incredible Japanese-fusion Italian pasta, it never fails to impress.
We arrived on a Wednesday evening around 6:45 PM. Even though the restaurant was already about 80% full, we were lucky enough to be seated right away without a wait.
For my dish, I chose the Allegro Special, which features a traditional Bolognese meat sauce with eggplant. I am honestly not a big fan of eggplant in general, but it was prepared so beautifully here that I completely cleaned my plate. The portion was incredibly generous, and the texture of the pasta was a perfect, textbook al dente. 🍝
My wife ordered the Nero di Seppia (Squid Ink), a flavorful tomato sauce infused with squid ink. The squid itself was exceptionally fresh, and her pasta also came out with that fantastic, authentic al dente bite. If you are a seafood lover, this dish is highly recommended! 🦑🍅
Since this was just a quick dinner for us on a weeknight, we didn't stay long enough to fully lounge and soak in the ambiance, but the restaurant definitely has a lovely vibe that accommodates both. Whether you want a relaxed meal or just a high-quality, quick-stop dinner on a weekday, this place is a stellar choice. We will definitely keep coming back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Finally found the perfect spot! Pasta e Pasta by Allegro is a true gem on PCH. It’s an authentic Japanese-style Italian restaurant that strikes the perfect balance between both worlds.
The pasta is served perfectly al dente, and unlike some other Wafu-style spots that can be too salty, this was seasoned beautifully—reminiscent of the pasta we’ve had in Italy. The sauces are generous (not minimal like traditional Italian), but perfectly balanced. Even the antipasti salad and bread were incredibly fresh.
The vibe is unique; it almost feels like a Japanese ramen bar but for pasta. It’s small (about four 4-person tables, four 2-person tables, and 10 bar seats), so it fills up fast. Pro tip: Arrive right at opening or go a little late to avoid the wait. It makes for a perfect lunch spot. Hands down my new go-to!“

“BEST PIZZA IN THE SOUTH BAY! My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. A sincere thanks to all the staff at Jack's! Stay awesome and don't change!“

“A very typical OG experience. The one thing that frustrates me is that we always order the endless breadsticks and refillable boat of Alfredo sauce and I swear they are trained to never ask if you would like a refill on either lol... You have to ask each time and then wait 10 minutes. Just keep em' coming please 😀“

“The owners daughter, Crystal, is charming and I look forward to seeing her as much as I do the amazing food. Their red sauce is thick and delicious. Best red sauce in the South Bay in my opinion. Their bruschetta is a must order. Make sure you get the bruschetta that has the pesto drizzle on it!! YUM!!!!! This is my favorite Italian restaurant in the area!!!!“

“Love Beaux, I can stop by for a quick drink and some appetizers to full dinner 🥘 I just love that this place reminds me of Tokyo back in my young days in Tokyo lol 😂 great cocktails and awesome Japanese whiskies🥃 Waitresses are super friendly and attentive, and this place is great for Nijikai nightcap as well ✨“
“I'm the kind of person who makes homemade pasta at home and thinks it's a waste of money to eat pasta out unless at a really high end place or here. Their pasta is amazing.
I saw another review about this place as an alternative to Pasta Unico and was offended because that place is absolute garbage, 1 star, compared to Pasta Stories.
Honestly I sometimes choose this Tokyo Central over other markets so I can tempt myself to eat here when buying groceries. I recommend ordering, then shopping, and eating because they do make it fresh and carefully.
Don't sleep on it and please come eat here because I never want it to close ever. Also it's extremely cheap for what you get. I'd pay 3x for the Ehime2.“

“This location has great ambience and beautiful decor. I had a reservation and it took about 10 minutes to be seated. Once we placed our order, it took an hour to receive our food. Our appetizer which was white truffle bread came out pretty quick but our entrée took an hour and we were starving by the time it came. Our waiter checked in one time and apologize for the wait but we still waited another 20 minutes. If it didn't take as long to receive our food, I would've given it five stars. He offered nothing but an apology which was disappointing. “

“Love this place and everyone that works there. The pizza is the very best, love the thin crust, but the other is good also. The lasagna is delicious and all food is really good. Also like their simply salad, and this is my favorite place.“
