The service was great, very friendly. Clean and nice place. The food was a little underwhelming, though. Under seasoned, got chicken tacos and it was basically a solid chicken breast in a taco. Just interesting vs other Mexican places.
El Tarasco in Hermosa has a great location on upper Pier Avenue, very convenient to either drive, bike or walk to. It's never too busy, so you should be able to get a table right away - either inside or outside (much nicer). The service has been great every time. The food is ok - I used to really get midnight cravings for El Tarasco, but lately not so much. Good for takeout. Also, last time I checked they don't have a liquor license so the margaritas are made from "alternative"...read full review

Recommend the california burrito and orange bang. The california burrito was solid. I also called for a 16 oz orange bang and got complimentarily upgraded to 32 oz and got some tortilla chips for free.
