“Was just acosted in a store at Westfield Culver City at on a Tuesday afternoon est. 3p; Stemmed over a minor misunderstanding involving a teen girl and a mirror that grew into a gang of teen girls, all dressed alike, hunting me down and threatening me. I had to be escorted to my car by security. I do hope Westfield Culver City is NOT becoming the gang infested den it was as Fox Hills mall. I will NOT be visiting Westfield Culver City/Fox Hills Mall anytime soon. I'll drive a little farther for a safer shopping option.“

“Love this place! I’ve read so much about it and Rae’s didn’t disappoint. Friendly, charming and the food is solid. Ordered the 2-2-2: fluffy pancakes, perfectly “medium” yet yolky eggs, and sausage. I’m a coffee snob and expected standard diner coffee and whoa - was pleasantly surprised by their very good cuppa (two actually)! Did I say the staff is friendly — they’re great! Coming back for their tuna melt and more coffee! Parking was no problem on a Monday at 11:30am.“

“The Kettle is a Manhattan Beach classic and one of our favorite places to grab a meal by the beach. It's the perfect spot to bring the family on a Sunday morning for brunch before or after a walk along the Strand.
The food is consistently great, whether you're stopping in for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late-night bite. There's something for everyone on the menu, which makes it an easy choice when dining with family and friends.
What really stands out is the hospitality. Chemo, the manager, is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always makes guests feel appreciated. The staff is attentive, hardworking, and keeps the same positive attitude even during the late-night hours.
We’ve visited several times over the years, and the service and overall experience have always been consistent. Between the great food, welcoming atmosphere, and prime location just steps from the beach, it's easy to see why The Kettle has been a local favorite for so long. Highly recommend for families, locals, and visitors alike.“

“this was my grandfather's favorite place for 40 years. grandma is British so thought the "chips" were really French fries! The family are scattered around the US, but always stop at Wendy's when they are in town. Can recommend this cafe if you are in the area.“

“It’s funny to me when people complain about things like not being allowed to split portions for one person, not being able to take food home, sushi being ‘too big,’ or even time limits lol. I think the sense of entitlement is real among some of us. I genuinely love the food, the variety, and the soju—this is honestly one of the best places to enjoy Korean BBQ.
Maybe some people are just used to getting free passes and special treatment elsewhere, but here everyone is treated equally. That’s all it really is.“

“On a mini-vacay and My wife found this place some how. The service was great and the food was better! So flavorful and appropriately filling. After eating we made our way to Venice beach and walked 8k+ steps according to our watches. We only snacked on a cotton candy &Arizona Tea (Don’t judge 😁😳)... just go and eat at Ronnie’s!!!“

From the way we were GREETED, TREATED, & SERVED, to the way they’ve continued to treat our daughter like FAMILY since she’s arrived in Santa Monica. They’ve been nothing less than spectacular and are the epitome of what a True, neighborhood nostalgic 50’s diner encompasses. No other establishment has ever provided fun toys & items of entertainment while waiting for our food. We thank Benjamin for that! Victor the GM checked on our table and made sure Kim our waitress was taking care of us! Kim was a fantastic server and we never once waited for a refill on anything. The staff @ Cafe 50’s take pride in their customer service & establishment and they deserve all the recognition! You have our family’s support for life Cafe 50’s! “Enjoyed sitting outdoors with my daughter and two granddaughters after their Kaiser appointments. I had a very tasty Turkey Club sandwich with waffle fries, while my daughter enjoyed a great omelette and her kids had mini-Belgian waffles with sprinkles. Just Perfect!!“

“Norms is the kind of place that reminds you why diners still matter. The bacon? Crispy. Like, perfectly engineered, science-approved crispy. The people? Friendly in that effortless, genuine way that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time through the door. It’s hands-down a better option than Denny’s or IHOP — better food, better service, and none of that “sad pancake at 2 a.m.” energy. It’s the kind of diner that actually feels alive. My only gripe? Pepsi products. I get it, contracts are contracts, but I’m a Coke person and this one hurts a little. Still, when the bacon’s this good and the coffee keeps coming, it’s hard to stay mad for long. Four stars. Swap Pepsi for Coke and we’d be talking five.“

“This dennys has always been the best out if all the ones ive been to. Even when its packed it always not a long wait to be seated. And the parking there is plenty. Food is delicious and is always here on a timely matter. All the people working here are always friendly but our favorite is Chab as she is always attentive and super friendly! She also gives you updates when the food take a little extra time .“

“We are regular here - the food, service, and atmosphere are always great! It has an old school classic diner type of feel with a mix of booths and tables. The drip coffee is excellent. The have French vanilla creamer for the coffee, which is what we usually request. Our regular breakfast items that are consistently fresh and delicious are the breakfast burrito, pancakes with strawberries, and omelettes. They make their own salsa in house, too, which you can also buy by the pint. 10/10 recommend!“

“I got the luxe breakfast burrito. I had it about 6 or 7 years ago and don't remember it being as humongous and tasty as it was. 17 bucks and change after tax. Well worth it! I got about two thirds through it and had to ask for a to go container. Honestly the BEST breakfast burrito I've ever had. They have a wide menu of options. If you're in Westwood village DO NOT snooze on this place. Absolutely fantastic!“
