“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.“

“Everything I've had from here has been extraordinary. My favorite was a croissant-muffin filled with raspberry creme. Magical. The textures are perfect without being greasy. The savory treats are excellent, too. Note: I had no luck trying to find the Palms location. Best to go to the Maisan Macha stand at the Mar Vista farmer's market on Sundays. Come early before your favorites sell out! Updated from previous review on 2025-08-30“

“We had a wonderful time. We kicked off my hubby's birthday with great food, wonderful vibes and incredible service!! My husband could not stop raving about the eggs! We literally came back for the biscuits. I hate that I don't remember our waitresses name because she was so sweet and attentive. She was also kind enough to bring us a complimentary round of champs and mimosas!! This is our second time coming in and the service is not only consistent, it keeps getting better!“

“This place is AMAZING! It’s completely unassuming from the exterior; but the food and the service was way beyond my expectations! I truly wish there was a French restaurant like this in San Diego; I’d eat there at least once a week!!!“

“En Petit Trois, la cocina habla por sí sola. Tanto la hamburguesa como el pescado destacan por una técnica precisa y una ejecución impecable, donde cada elemento está en perfecto equilibrio; dos platillos memorables, difíciles de jerarquizar. Aunque no fue posible degustar la coctelería debido a la política de requerir pasaporte físico para el servicio de alcohol, la propuesta gastronómica se sostiene con absoluta solidez. Una experiencia sobria, bien lograda y digna de repetirse.“

“You have to go to l'Appart by Air Food to experience a delicious French bistrot ambiance. The ambiance outside is very friendly, covid-safe and cosy. The dishes are beyond delicious. Yesterday I had the Plat du Jour with delicious scallops and home made very tasty mash potato puree. The plate are so beautifully presented - it is a pleasure to look. The desserts were delicious as well. There is a shade that separates the table from the streets for privacy. Free parking in the corner street. Brigitte the waitress is very welcoming and the owner / chef are beyond nice. An address to discover !“

“My wife and I had a last minute great dinner at Coucou. We coincidentally happened to dine on Martini Monday, which was truly a great deal including their fantastic Burger Americaine and a top-notch dirty martini. We also shared the steak frites (prepared perfectly with tasty fries) and would never miss the soft serve sundae! It's great to have such a wonderful and comfortable french-style bistro in the neighborhood, and we'll be thrilled to return soon! Thank you very much for the fun, spontaneous evening!“

“We were there on Valentine Day for their prix fixe menu. There were items on that menu that were excellent choices and we did not feel limited at all. The food was excellent and paced just right. They also had one of our favorite wines, a Vouvray which is very rare to find on a restaurant. The service was spot on and very accommodating. Our evening was wonderful and we will be returning to try their regular menu!“

“Lovely food, charming interior. We had carpaccio, lobster bisque, crispy duck, and potato crusted salmon. The dishes were all prepared very well. The fresh bread was quite good, served with harissa, etc. We very much enjoyed the nut tart served with vanilla sauce and very nice hazelnut gelato. Can’t wait to go again.“

“First time solo customer; sat outside, and my breakfast was très bon! Served with grace, care, and pride. Every single ingredient was wonderful and cooked perfectly. All the flavors and textures commingled beautifully.
They can’t help it that the building next to them is boarded up. All the employees could not have been more pleasant and friendly. Definitely will return and bring friends. Oui, I recommend!“

“Beautiful night at the bar. This place is a special treasure that will transport you to an intimate Parisian spot. Charming, elegant Samir crafted our perfect cocktails and we just couldn’t resist ordering the lobster risotto and pavlova dessert which were truly sumptuous. The design, music, atmosphere and warm welcoming staff are outstanding and the room is cozy. A rate treat in LA, particularly SM. As locals, we hope to return again and again“

“If you're even reading this, it's because you appreciate truly great food. I first discovered Le Comptoir because of its Michelin star—but I came back because of the perfection, creativity, and heart that Chef Gary Menes and his small team put into every single course. This is the kind of place where the details actually matter: the pacing is thoughtful, the flavors are dialed-in, and every plate feels intentional without ever feeling fussy or pretentious. The experience is also amazingly personal—you're close enough to watch the team work, and it's genuinely special to see such talented people practicing their craft right in front of you. If you're looking for a memorable night built around passion, precision, and food that feels like art (but tastes even better), Le Comptoir absolutely delivers.“
“Our favorite place to eat in the area. Not only a little piece of France, but truly delicious and authentic food. Prices are reasonable too.“
“We are so happy Régalade has joined the neighborhood and it is hands down the best new restaurant we’ve tried this year!! With so many Italian spots around here, it’s so nice to finally have a really (really) good French restaurant on west third street.
We got the warm baguette with butter, the salade verte with warm goat cheese (I will be trying to recreate this dressing at home), French onion soup (insane), and steak frites (perfection). Everything was amazing, but the apple tartine… I’m not kidding, it might be one of the best desserts I’ve ever had??? I wasn’t drinking but the cocktails looked excellent as well.
Also the service was so good. Everyone was genuinely nice and it just felt like one of those places you want to become a regular at. We’re already excited to go back!!!“

“Came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my wife. The pictures of the place do not give it justice. The place has really a great vibe to it, music and a pleasant atmosphere to it. Love the light bulbs on the tables.
They had a fixed menu that we paid before, arrived and we were seated right away. Wife ordered a passion fruit martini and I ordered an old fashioned, both were good. The appetizers were a humus and red pepper feta with focaccia that was delicious, deep fried artichokes with a tangy sauce and a salmon tartare with avocado.
For the entrees my wife got steak frites with a chimnichurri sauce, she asked medium well but it came medium (my preference), it was tasty but not what she asked. I ordered the sea bass that was on a carrot purée, brusseel sprouts, cooked delicately with some spice to it.
Dessert were a strawberry and shortbread pieces and the other was a chocolate mousse.
Would come back again.“

“Edit Jan 30, 2026 - they’re going under new management in February so I’m very sad. It’s temporarily closed for now.
I loved coming here after my appointments to pick up some daily pastries and their full sandwiches! Their full sized sandwiches are humongous, tasty, great for two, and way bigger than other places! Also loved trying out their daily pastries. It’s a small spot but they have seating outside too. I usually just did pick up.“

“Going to Shirley Brassiere which is inside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel is such an exciting experience! From the Valet to going up the famous steps, peeking into the lobby as you walk into the restaurant ...it's very elegant, a lot of history, mystery and super beautiful. The restaurant feels old-school Hollywood. The vibe we had an old-school so we had martini's and they were served up nice and cold! We had an incredible paté appetizer and a charcuterie board which was very nice, not too heavy and perfect with our cocktails. Then we moved onto our main dishes. I had beef bourguignon and my friend had a chicken dish. Total comfort food served in small portions. I had a nice wine pairing recommended by our waiter. We definitely had dessert- I had a fruit tart, and my friend had a chocolate mousse. We had a relaxed wonderful meal with great ambience. We left feeling great and hope to go back again soon!“

“My first time dining at Fete Bistro. Great value and so wonderful to eat a French meal with the accordion windows open. I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes, steak tartare, French onion soup and all of their entrees. My husband had the sea bass special and he said it was one of the best prepared sea bass dishes he's ever eaten. The crème brûlée and pistachio cheese cake were both decadent and delicious. We drank pear martinis and Slay Estate Pinot Noir. We will be back!!“
