You have to go to l'Appart by Air Food to experience a delicious French bistrot ambiance. The ambiance outside is very friendly, covid-safe and cosy. The dishes are beyond delicious. Yesterday I had the Plat du Jour with delicious scallops and home made very tasty mash potato puree. The plate are so beautifully presented - it is a pleasure to look. Solid French spot in DTLA. Came here with a couple of friends having made a reservation beforehand, and we enjoyed a pre-fixe menu of 3 courses each (which was a good deal because we were able to try different things). Ever since I came back from France I have struggled to find a restaurant where the food had the same quality as the places I went to while I was there. I finally found it with L'Appart. Much of the staff is French so it makes sense and they were very welcoming and attentive. I had the Onion Soup and Tartare and they were both delicious.
