“I absolutely loved puzzle! The space itself was beautifully decorated from the plush seating to the disco ball that illuminated the dance floor. We experienced great food, great entertainment and great drinks! My FAVORITE part was the food, especially the fries. Hands down one of the best fries I’ve ever had. The service was phenomenal. The servers and bartenders were so kind and attentive! Lastly, shout out to chef Kevin and sous chef Brandon! Not only did they make delicious food, they also kept checking in on our group to make sure we were having a great time—which of course we were! Highly recommend this establishment.“

“You have to go to l'Appart by Air Food to experience a delicious French bistrot ambiance. The ambiance outside is very friendly, covid-safe and cosy. The dishes are beyond delicious. Yesterday I had the Plat du Jour with delicious scallops and home made very tasty mash potato puree. The plate are so beautifully presented - it is a pleasure to look. The desserts were delicious as well. There is a shade that separates the table from the streets for privacy. Free parking in the corner street. Brigitte the waitress is very welcoming and the owner / chef are beyond nice. An address to discover !“

“Went to coucou with a friend to celebrate my birthday. This is on Main Street and there's parking on thr street and there's an underground parking lot on Navy with great service and a flat rate of $9/hr.

The place is small and I went around 6pm so right after happy hour so it was a bit loud but it calmed down after. There is a 3 for $33 deal that is pretty amazing for happy hour. Pretty much all the appetizers. You are allowed to pick 1 drink and 2 food items. I got the classic aperol, it had a little too much aperol for my taste but still good and refreshing.

We got the Zucchini bingets and they were tasty, cheesy. Almost like a fritter but not so much. Also got the fries as well. They were good.

I got the mussels marinere with the coconut cream sauce and honestly I love when places offer mussels in a different kind of sauce than just white wine and garlic. The toast was perfection. My friend got the grilled chicken Paillard and she liked it, came with a side of red sauce. I'll be back for the happy hour to try the apps with seafood. I didn't get w chance to since my friend doesn't eat it. They even gave me a the chocolate mousse with a candle.“

“A cute place, I’ve been wanting to come try for a while and we were able to come for lunch one day. They a cute space but the tables are a little too close to each other. It felt like we shared the conversation with our neighbours at some point. I would love to come try at night one day since it looks super cute in photo.

Their food was quite good! We got some to share and the side french toast was a perfect size to sooth the sweet craving without being too much.“

“I love Simonette. The patio is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy a cocktail and breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I’ve been there twice now and I can highly recommend the burger on the menu - the fried egg on top completes it! And the mussels in the light cream sauce are wonderful - especially with fries. A friend of mine ordered the fried Bronzino - the complete fish including the head - and she said it was delicious. There are great cocktails available and several wines and Prosecco available by the glass. The onsite valet parking is a bit steep, but there are many nearby options for parking in downtown Culver City if you don’t mind walking a few blocks.“

I highly recommend the wine pairing as well. The list was thoughtfully curated with excellent wines that complemented the food. They even made my husband's birthday special with a candle in the dessert. Truly a night to remember.“

“Backbone was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I started with the tuna tartare, which was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and had an amazing balance of flavors and textures. From there, I had the corn agnolotti, which was easily one of the highlights of the night. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the delicate, flavorful sauce complemented the sweetness of the corn beautifully.

For my main course, I had the steak and fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor, while the fries were crispy and seriously addictive. Everything on the plate worked perfectly together.

I finished with key lime and scoop of coconut sorbet, which was just as impressive and the perfect ending to an already fantastic meal. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted every bit as good as it looked.

What made the experience even better were the people. Every employee I interacted with was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The chef was also incredibly nice and personable, which added such a special touch to the evening. You can tell there’s real passion behind what they’re doing, both in the kitchen and in the way they treat their guests.

The attention to detail at Backbone really stood out to me. The atmosphere was stylish and inviting, the service was exceptional, and the entire meal flowed perfectly from one course to the next.

Backbone is absolutely a restaurant I’ll be coming back to. From the tuna tartare and corn agnolotti to the steak, dessert, and amazing hospitality, the entire experience was outstanding. One of the best meals I’ve had in a while and an easy five stars. Highly recommend!“

The food was delicious and so creative. The service and staff are wonderful. They did an excellent job with timing the courses — and they really know the food and drink. This place feels like a labor of love and I’m excited to go back. Good parking for like $5 just up the block.“

“Loved the croque madame, abalone and scallop pot pie, and spaghetti bolognese. The croque madame and spaghetti bolognese were the clear standouts. Also got the burger (good but expensive), sweet potato gratin (delicious), and chicken liver mousse (delicious but pricey at $7 per piece). Overall, service was excellent (thanks Janine!) and atmosphere was chill. I’d say it’s on the pricier side, but worth the money for nicer occasions.“
