Ordered the brisket and it was delicious. Light and flavorful. Like others have stated, add your green onions and salt pepper or chili to your liking. Their radish and kimchi banchan were fresh and flavorful, my favorite being the radish! The milky smooth bone broth tasted delicious. Not heavy at all and so comforting!“

The dongchimi noodles are a must when coming here, it’s what it’s best known for. Paired with their bulgogi, the experience just gets better. I’m not one who likes sweet, soy based marinated meats, but this place does it so well. Their marinade is not too strong or sweet, the meat is soft. Dip it into their nutty and savory sesame oil? Game over. The combination is just amazing. Please try these two together! Highly recommend. Yes, the bulgogi is a bit pricey, but it hits and the meat is so soft.“

The food was flavorful. My friend ordered the namesake quesadillas, and I ordered the jackfruit tacos with mango salsa. Double the flavor - we shared our meals. Yum! The portions were large, filling, and pleased my soul. What I thought to be a side of mashed sweet potatoes was warm, smooth mashed beans. Tacos and quesadillas on point. Chichen Itza is a small, but confident showcase. There is consistent high quality to the food, which is artfully prepared and served. The dishes include delicacies such as: Cochinita Pibil, Poc Chuc, Relleno Negro, Agua de Chaya, and others. Humble, basic ingredients from the earth and sea, crafted into dishes possessing impeccable flavor and soul.

For those wary of high scoville numbers, the heat is restrained, but you can lay it on too and enjoy the wonderful flavor that can be harnessed from the Habanero.

As it is within a food court, and there is the intensely popular Holbox next door, the smell of ceviche and other uncooked seafood can be present. Finding seating can be challenging as well. Do not let this keep you from going.

Park on the street, and ignore the line out the door for Holbox. The food, and the people of Chichen Itza are worth every effort to come enjoy.“

“I love this pho spot! The ambience is great. The customer service is speedy and you are immediately given a warm welcome as you step in. The food is also really good (although I’ve only ever ordered number 4, the steak and brisket pho 👌🏽). I did try a bit of the shrimp pho when my mom ordered it, and it was good, but I’m more into beef than seafood, so that’s just personal preference. Definitely check it out. This was where I tried pho for the first time and it hits the spot every time.“

It makes me sad that I hardly see anyone in there but I don’t know why since the food is good and affordable. It may confuse people that the sign says Golmok Restaurant. I’ve ordered the spicy soondae soup and the small soondae plate. I prefer the soondae plate because I think the soup makes the soondae a bit soggy and the plate is a bigger portion.“

wow, i became a loyal fan of the cheonggukjang, which i never had before. The owner is kind, and it feels like we're being taken care of like I'm at their home.

i am not korean, and especially at that early time 10 years ago I was often the only non-korean... but when they saw me eating cheonggukjang not bbq, i got some nods of approval 🤣 One korean man came up to my table after i ate once and asked me how i know this soup because it's controversial with even koreans.

But i loveeee fermented foods. and honestly, anytime i was sick this soup made me better in a day. I miss living so close to it, i have to make special trips to go now.

The curry is bold and savory. make sure to request picked vegetables for the curry. the chicken pasta is also rich and savory. both dishes complement each other without repeating the same experience. the portions are large so bring friends or bring home plenty of portions for leftovers.“
