Kappo Miyabi Reviews
Kappo Miyabi is a hidden gem. I work at a nearby hotel and I'm always happy to recommend this restaurant to our guests for an authentic Japanese meal. The menu has a great selection and the fish is super fresh. If you are looking for a lowkey, neighborhood feel and want to support a mom and pop that really cares, you should definitely check this place out.
We had the most delicious lunch, their service was wonderful and we all had a great time. We will be back ❣️
Tried the Dine LA dinner meal and it was worth it.

Kappo Miyabi is a delightful restaurant known for its delicious food and kid-friendly environment. The seaweed salad and rolls are popular choices with children. The cozy Japanese decor, private dining rooms, and outdoor seating create a charming atmosphere. The restaurant offers a variety of dishes including Miso Soup, Black Cod, Truffle Salmon Carpaccio, and Albacore Sashimi. The Miyabi Omakase lunch special is highly recommended, providing a sampler of sushi, sashimi, cold sides, and skewers. Customers praise the fresh seafood, especially the sashimi, which is melt-in-your-mouth good. The friendly and attentive staff make every visit enjoyable, whether for casual dining or special occasions. The warm atmosphere and high-quality food make Kappo Miyabi a favorite spot for many. The sushi is always fresh and expertly prepared, and the sukiyaki is considered unforgettable—rich, balanced, and some say the best they have ever had. The restaurant's elegant and serene ambiance adds to the experience, making it a top choice for those seeking authentic Japanese cuisine in Santa Monica. Recent visitors appreciated the accommodating service, especially on a rainy day with pets, and enjoyed dishes like tempura and yakitori, despite some overcooking of scallop yakitori. Many guests find the vibe authentic and relaxing, with a variety of shareable items on the menu, making it ideal for small groups.
