“For over five years, Angel Thai Barbecue has been our absolute go-to spot in the Valley, and somehow they continue to impress us every single time. This place is so much more than a restaurant to our family — it feels like home.
The food is consistently incredible. Every dish is packed with flavor, beautifully prepared, and always fresh. From the rich curries to the perfectly cooked noodles, the amazing stir-fries, and the fresh spring rolls, everything tastes like it was made with real care and pride. Even the presentation stands out every time we order — whether dining in or taking it home, the attention to detail is obvious.
What truly makes Angel Thai Barbecue special, though, is the people behind it. The family who runs this restaurant is genuinely wonderful. Their warmth, kindness, and hospitality are a huge reason we’ve stayed loyal customers for so many years. They always make us feel appreciated, welcomed, and taken care of.
In a world where consistency is rare, Angel Thai Barbecue delivers every single time. Amazing food, beautiful presentation, outstanding service, and truly good people. We recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for authentic Thai food made with love. Five stars isn’t enough.“

“The food is great! I think when we got there a group of people walked in so it was a little slow for service. Parking was pretty easy and the atmosphere is just simple nothing fancy but the food is amazing I highly recommend and would go back!“

“Guys! This place is definitely the real thing! Real Chinese food thing!
The young lady is so patient and kind. Kinda feel bad slowing down the line when I had a lot of questions about the menu..
I had the Chicken noodles with cumin seasoning and it’s awesome! I bet the fried rice is good too! Coming back for it for sure~“

“I absolutely loved this place. Lots of vegan options (which are clearly labeled). We tried so many different items and loved them all. The staff were incredibly friendly and nice and I just loved the whole vibe. The Dan Dan noodles, fried mushroom (forgot the name of the dish), and bok choy dumplings were all amazing. We had a large group with several kids and they were so accommodating and patient. I can’t say enough good things! Updated from previous review on 2026-02-16“

“Totally worth the 70 minute drive. Delicious food and great Taiwanese hospitality. Friendly, attentive staff and wonderful atmosphere. Minced Pork (Lu-Rou) Rice, fully loaded delicious stewed pork with egg. Meats are juicy and tender, kinda on the sweet side. Clamshell bun (Gua Bao) comes with tender thick cut pork, a bit on the salty side, but very well cooked. Fatty but not greasy. Thousand layer pancake with egg and basil was crispy and flaky. The basil flavor is a wonderful addition. Scallion bread sandwich was what we expected. Same tender thick cut pork, very happy to eat this. Next time I will probably get the beef, too much pork belly today Wonton soup is very classic, if you like shrimp wontons, you have to try this. We ended the meal with Hakka mochi and Oolong tea, the mochi tasted just like the ones in Taiwan. The tea was fragrant and is just the perfect compliment to the mochi. Overall an amazing meal with warm and friendly people, highly recommend!“

“This place is a gem, tucked away 6 walking minutes from the Pantages. If you're a true dumpling, shumai and long bao fan, your taste buds need not walk any further. The explosion of flavors will make you want to come back. Make sure you also try the Lychee Lemonade, the scallion pancakes and the tomato and egg noodles. An A+ all around!“
“They have a sign in front that advertises $7 chow mein, which totally got my friend. It was definitely a heaping portion still of noodles with a good Thai chili kick. I split it into two meals still (although I probably don’t eat a lot compared to a lot of people). A bit greasy and I wish there was more veg. It was savory but not overly salty.
I felt like it was missing a little bit of nuance in its sweetness but I can’t pin what was missing. There was definitely still MSG because I was thirsty after, so that’s not what it was missing.
The free bone broth is really refreshing (reminds me of sullungtang) and a good way to either start or end your meal.“

“Needed something warm and soupy for the rainy day. Find this spot on a whim and I gotta say I'm so dang lucky I decided to eat here. I ordered the rattan noodles and they were deliciously spicy. I usually eat medium to low spice but this was perfect. I'm a new fan!“

“I fear that sometimes, we all give high ratings to vegan restaurants, despite their being less than great, just to be encouraging for the team. This place, however, is legit amazing. Flavorful, fresh, and a wonderful, genuine bowl of noodles. If you’re on the fence, wondering about the authenticity of all of the glowing Redwhite Boneless reviews, I would just give it a try.“

“As jjamppong lover, it’s hard to find a good place in K-town. But this place makes a pretty solid jjamppong and jjajangmyeon among the Chinese restaurants around.
The jjajangmyeon is a bit sweet, but the noodles are pleasantly chewy. The jjamppong broth and ingredients are good. For now, this is the spot I’d choose to go. The downside is having to pay for $2 for parking.“

“Every time I go to this restaurant, even when it's packed, the service is always excellent. Yangzhou Restaurant is almost always overflowing with diners, but honestly, the wait is worth it every single time. I also really enjoy looking at the celebrity photos hanging on the walls; they infuse the restaurant with the classic charm of an old-school Chinatown eatery“

“One of the best Thai food I had in LA. We had a group of 9 and the servers were very accommodating to get us a table. The food was awesome- we ordered Pad Thai, Panang Curry, Box of Prawns, Rainbow rice, crusted Salmon and Hot Mermaid. The food came out quickly and the service was great.“

“your wonton wraps were flexible and easy to shape. they hold together wonderfully when boiling, taste great and have a good mouth-feel. they are top notch. Imagine my disappointment when I tried to use your gyoza wraps; some too dry to use; many were stuck to the one next to it (NOT an easy peel). the combination of too dry and stuck-together made for a lot of torn wraps, necessitating that I patch them together using scraps of ones that didn't stay in one piece in order to finish making the gyoza. Such wildly different quality makes me wonder if I got unlucky with the gyoza wraps, or lucky with the wonton wraps.“

“We had a wonderful experience here!! Service was 10/10 and they helped make my friend’s birthday memorable. The ramen is delicious - not too salty or oily or heavy, and the broth is super tasty. This establishment has a rich history; ask the servers!
Thank you to Mija, our server, for an amazing experience!“

“Ambiance: a bright, clean, nicely adorned establishment, with a striking painting as a feature wall...the wait and serving staff definitely contributed to the overall ambiance... Service: as with the many other reviewers, our experience was very similar with respect to the service, as our server was knowledgeable, friendly, competent, helpful, and attentive...did I say friendly...definitely one of the elements we will take away from the evening... Food: on the recommendation of our server, who was very helpful, knowledgable, friendly, and attentive, we ordered the Takoyaki and our server's favourite Spicy Garlic Pork Shoyu Ramen x 2. The latter was described as a "spicy soy sauce tonkatsu broth with garlic is served with two slices of chashu pork, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots, egg, fried onions, seaweed, green onions, and buttered corn". I absolutely love ramen, and, to me, what defines any bowl is the soup base, described by a very learned chef as "an intensely porky, opaque pale broth with a sticky-lipped intensity, with the rich, buttery texture of light cream; the best sports tiny nubbins of fat swimming around on their surface, a slick of mayu (black garlic oil) or chile-sesame paste, a handful of thin-sliced green onions, a soft-yolked soy-sauce tinged egg, and a few slices of meltingly tender chashu pork belly". The broth definitely reflected the events described, and the many hours spent in preparation, with a rich texture and flavour, complemented, but not over-powered by either the chili nor the garlic. It was a wonderful recommendation that we would order again! All in all, the evening that left us very satisfied in terms of having our hunger sated, and taste buds quite happy... the true test is whether we return, and, should we find ourselves back in the city, we would most definitely make a return trip to try other dishes!!“

“The best Burmese cuisine I have tried in the US of A! Fantastic food, lovely people and awesome service. Highly recommended. I had indian-burmese fusion samosas, Yangon street cafes style, the best I ever had!
Monthinga is good although pretty mild for my taste. More than decent warm mushy tofu. One of the best Nangyithoke. Complementary sago pudding is great too. We didn't have the time for dessert so they packed it for us. Can't recommend them enough.“

“This is absolutely our favorite go to restaurant whenever we visit LA. A must stop for us. Living in CA and then moving to MN, we always crave for the noodles here. We visit every 2-4 years and the soups and noodles have always been consistent. The flavors are truly astonishing! We took my parents to visit last week again, and we stopped there 3X! A few days later back at home in MN and we are craving the soups already! Would definitely recommend this place.“

“My Favorite Thai Restaurant. They serve authentic, freshly made Thai Food. Some of the entrees are not in a lot Of Thai Retairant like the Shrimp Paste Rice or the Stewed Leg Rice. Service is friendly and felt sincere. They also have premade Thai food that’s very authentic. This place is such an underrated hidden gem.“

“I enjoyed this place a lot. It was a little bit hard to find at first, as it is located above the supermarket. The server was very friendly, helping me to find a good vegetarian option. “I came here for a quick meal and was seriously impressed. The food tastes authentic, portions are generous, and everything was cooked with care.
I ordered the beef noodle soup and the braised pork elbow rice plate, and both dishes were excellent.
🍜 Beef Noodle Soup:
The broth was rich and flavorful with that classic Taiwanese depth. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the beef chunks were tender and juicy. Definitely one of the better beef noodle soups I’ve had in the area.
🍖 Braised Pork Elbow Rice Plate:
The pork elbow was incredibly tender and full of flavor—melt-in-your-mouth and perfectly braised. The plate came with cabbage, pickled veggies, a marinated egg, and a big serving of rice. Everything paired together really well, and the seasoning was on point.
The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, and the food came out fast. If you’re craving Taiwanese comfort food, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!“

“Ricardo was my waiter and it was my first time here. This place is a gem, the food is prepared fresh and with authenticity. Some people say you can’t taste or smell MSG, but I have a sensitivity to it, and I can say this place DOESN’T use MSG! This was something I deeply appreciate, and I take food serious, I enjoy experiencing culture via food and the people who serve it. This restaurant wasn’t too busy Saturday afternoon, to my surprise, but it should be hustling and bustling! I didn’t let this detour me, I lean on hidden gems mostly when I dine out. If you are in the area and looking for something new, and unique, or you are spending the morning at the Huntington Library/Museum and Botanical Garden like I was, (a short 7 minute drive through historic Pasadena/San Marino) try this true Chinese restaurant. The parking is directly across the way, they have a patio, and it’s nestled amongst other charming stores and restaurants. On weekends the location hosts local creatives markets, and music. I had the following increíble, well balanced and savory dishes: pork and chicken dumplings, vegetables fried rice (was very different in a delightful way!), chicken soup, three cup chicken, beef and Chinese broccoli, and jasmine ice tea.“

“This is one of the restaurants that gets unnoticed for not having enough review or marketing. I saw some pictures, looked tasty so I wanted to try out. Food is so good that I forgot to take all the pics. This place is ran by a strong single woman of color who cooks, cleans, and manages everything all by herself. Food is fresh, healthy, tasty, and unique. They owner is really nice. I 100% recommend this place. I will definitely come back. I hope all the best to the owner and her business.“
