“I hosted my bridal shower at La Boheme Banquet Hall & Restaurant this past weekend and I can’t say enough how happy I was with the experience. The banquet hall itself has been designed very well for a mid-sized event. I looked at many places to host my bridal shower but I could not find any that accommodated what I was looking for until I found La Boheme. The owner, Arthur, is an incredibly nice man and very helpful. He provided feedback and worked with me every step of the way to make sure everything turned out exactly as I had envisioned. Most importantly, the service and food was ABSOLUTELY amazing. The staff at La Boheme is extremely attentive to all the guests and very responsive to all their requests. I received so much positive feedback from my guests specifically complimenting the staff and the delicious food. My event was everything I envisioned and I want to thank once again the amazing owner and staff of La Boheme.”

“I'm officially a big fan of Skaf's. The kabobs are amazing. So juicy and flavorful. And the spices give each skewer that comforting, zesty taste that has you deeply savoring each bite. If you've had excellent Lebanese food before, then you know what I'm talking about. I ordered for pickup so didn't eat in. However, I was very impressed with the setup. Very modern and clean, but still homey, intimate, and inviting. The service? Everyone there was incredibly friendly and hospitable. They're clearly people that aim to please! Love it. The only thing that didn't wow me was the rice. The rice was just average. But the fresh crunch of the cabbage salad more than made up for it. If you're near Glendale and craving Middle Eastern / Mediterranean, then this is the spot!”

“What a lovely establishment! Delicious, spice-rich food with incredible service (shout out to Mr. Nasir for the warm welcome and wonderful customer service!). In all, we had their vegetable samosas, zafron pilau rice, peshwari naan, chicken butter makhani, fish coconut meen molee, saag paneer, and mango lassi for drinks. The samosas: crispy exterior, piping hot and potatoey interior with flavorful spice, coupled with that amazing date and tamarind chutney! No words. True to their name, they don't skimp out on the cardamom, which wonderfully perfumes the zafron rice. Although heads up, make sure to search through the rice and pick out the cardamom pods or you're going to be punched in the face with spice intensity (speaking from experience...). My friend and I love spicy, so we requested just shy of their spiciest level for all three of our main dishes. That peshwari naan really heightened the experience with the curries, with its sweet and nutty filling counterbalancing the spicy and rich curries. As for the curries, creamy and flavorful. The fish was perfectly tender, and man, there's just something about coconut milk that just hits DIFFERENT with curries (in layman's terms, goes very well together). That saag paneer though: there's a reason why Indian cuisine specializes in vegetarian food. That's all I have to say. And the perfect accompaniment to all this rich, spice flavor bombs is an incredibly refreshing, smooth mango lassi. To conclude: just go, you'll enjoy your time there. It's a good amount of food, my friend and I were stuffed and had leftovers to spare. In terms of pricing, I would say that it's on the lower-midrange. We're definitely going back and trying out more from their diverse menu.”

The all you can eat menus are great and the food is amazing. For the money you paying it's worth the food your eating. Very tasty and decent size portions not to much rice! The service is definitely on point! I know the previous times I've been here service was okay and they would take a long time to feed you but this time around I give them 5 stars! Definitely upgraded in the service department...I definitely recommend this place come try it out! Definitely the best all you can eat place I've eaten! They give you good portions”

“I had two prior visits and I have always ordered the same thing, a Margherita Pizza. The first two times the pizza was the best pizza I've had in the Glendale area. The third time I was disappointed. The pizza looked more like your typical local pizza shop cheese pizza. Too much mozzarella cheese. It was smothered with cheese. I believe a true Margherita pizza should have blotches of mozzarella cheese with a basil leaf in the middle of the blotch of cheese. The Margherita pizza colors are suppose to represent the colors of the Italian flag. Unfortunately this one was white and green. Couldn't see the red sauce because...well, you know why. Too much cheese!I will say that the pizza crust is still my favorite. I will return, but next time I'll just have to tell them specifically how I want my pizza made.”

Great place to go to just forget you are in a busy city and just unwind with some great food and drinks. The BBQ brisket and pulled pork combo is one of the best I have ever had. The steaks and coconut shrimp are equally amazing. That house salad is so refreshing!”

The adults tried the broccoli crust, which was interesting. I'd be interested to try more crusts if we lived closer! “Checked out another local pub, I was completely enchanted by Roxy, the Bartender, more of a mom to the neighborhood regulars and, dare I say it, a true tavern matron from those D&D games. In her 20 years she went through the two owners, having been let go in the crossover, she was brought back to roust the unsavory elements of the pub and to restore order. She has done so and created a little haven for the locals. I hadn't been here for 15 years, and she remembered me ? There is pool, darts, the jukebox, which played stuff from this decade, but of course, you haven't truly been in a hometown bar until Toby Keith is belting out "I love this bar." Like he has brain damage, but that anthem, sung by regulars and travelers passing through winking and pointing and crooning, well it's a camaradrie that is sweet in it's loyalty and stamina. The locals who inhabit this bar work in the biggest industry we have, and are affected by the strike. Roxy, the true treasure here in this gem of a local spot, was making a comfy amount of money as a Business Manager for a Corporation. She retired, and now she runs Gilligan's 4 nights a week ❤️”

Over the years the quality of La Cabanita's Mexico-City style cuisine has always impressed me. “We showed up the Saturday after Valentines. We let my girlfriend’s 13 year old son pick a restaurant for our Valentines dinner because we wanted to avoid the crowd on Feb14. He searched for unique restaurants and we actually showed up a few doors down at another establishment that looked closed. Then we spotted Chess Park Lounge. It looked vibrant and he loves chess so we walked in. We were immediately seated just outside the bar area. The interior is beautiful with a slight industrial and yet rich atmosphere. It is an Armenian themed menu I think? So it was unique and different. We ordered a starter of Truffle Dip that sounded familiar and a few drinks. The server brought us our starter but it looked completely different from what we ordered and expected. We assumed it was correct and was just their version of what we had ordered. It was delicious. It was a unique flavored dip made of eggs, tomatoes and who knows what Armenian spices but it was incredibly good. When the server returned I asked what it was and she admitted she brought an entree to us that was supposed to be for another table. Her mistake, our delight. It was so different, odd but but very tasty. At that point I joked and said “I guess just bring me something good for my entree, you can pick it”. So she did. I had the Braised Short Rib. My Girlfriend had the Grilled Bass of some sort and her son had the steak frites. My plate was the best cut of meat I have had in years. It was on par, taste wise, as A5 Wagyu at Gordon Ramsey Steak. It was delicious, tender, seasoned perfectly and a tremendous surprise. We all enjoyed our experience and for desert they played chess at the table. We will definitely return. They had a few hiccups but we are seasoned travelers and we don’t get too uptight with mistakes or shortfalls. Overall this restaurant was awesome and it should be tried if you are in the area.”

The eggplant was a little soft for my taste but was still delicious. I also had the Minestrone soup and it was the best thing I had to eat there that night. The reason for the 5 star rating was the amazing, attentive service we received from the entire staff from the host who seated us to the to the waiter who got our orders to us with a warm smile and friendly, short conversation every time to, last but certainly not least the Manager (I wish I had thought to write down everyone's names!). The manager made sure to stop by each and every table to make sure everything was going well and tasted good. The waiter and manager were both attentive enough to make us feel like we mattered to them as diners but not so attentive as to be intrusive. Perfect service in my opinion!”

The server (counter service) was super friendly and even gave me a small ice cream soft serve to help me pass the ten minutes while I waited for the food prep. The space isn't anything special--really just designed for counter service and takeout but they do have a table and a few stools if you want to eat there. I brought it back to my hotel and it was still hot and fantastic. I am in this neighborhood every few months and will definitely return.”
