“I had a wonderful experience at Roots Indian Bistro. I reached quite late, even after closing hours, but the staff still welcomed and accommodated me so warmly without making me feel rushed at all.

The food was excellent, and to top it off, they even served complimentary kheer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What stood out the most to me, though, was the hospitality. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and one of the owners personally came over to check if everything was good and whether I was enjoying the meal.

Good food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what truly makes a place special — and Roots absolutely excelled at that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for not just great Indian food, but also an incredibly warm dining experience.“

“This is honestly the best brisket sandwich and burger I have ever had IN MY LIFE!!! And I have had a lot of both! The brisket has more of a pulled pork consistency and it is unreal with that in house slaw and potato bun. Smash style burgers are also my top fave kind of burger and they do it exactly how I would dream of it being done. They are also not your usual slider size. These are the size of a kids meal burger (so to me- that’s normal sized). Not some giant sand which but the perfect size. I would normally be content with just one of these sandwiches but I did the combo so one brisket and one burger and I could not stop eating either one even after the meat sweats set in! I got the fries with no cheese and they were great. So happy to have found this place! Speaking of place: there are no signs. “Oh my goodness. Just finished eating and ran here to write a review. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the most delicious, fresh, flavorful Indian food I've ever had, and I used to live in Jersey City. I went yesterday with friends to try the chicken tikka masala burrito and it was unexpectedly awesome. The owner who served us brought us complimentary mulligatawny soup which was extremely comforting and he was so attentive and friendly. We also got the masala fries with paneer and they were soooo good.

I had such a great experience that I came back today to try some non-fusion food for takeout. I got what I usually get for Indian takeout- chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, garlic naan, and vegetable samosas. I was also excited to see they have gobi manchurian which is one of my favorites but surprisingly hard to find a good one, so I tried that too.

Wowwowow! Every single dish was exceptional. Everything seasoned perfectly, with so much depth of flavor in each dish. Samosas were flaky and crispy, and the chutneys were perfect. Masala was sweet and a little spicy, and the paneer was so fresh. The gobi manchurian was also perfection. I almost never want to go to another Indian place again, because I've seemingly found the best. Can't wait to come back again and try some different dishes! Can not recommend this place enough! Sorry, forgot to take pictures of my dinner I was too excited to eat it.

Also! Excellent value! The prices are very modest and the portion sizes are great. I have enough for 2 dinners for my fiancé and I, coming out to $15 per meal which is incredible considering the variety and quality of food ❤️“

I have not had a couscous in 35 plus years and it was very very good.
The ambiance is good, and the owners are really nice people. Overall a good solid 10/10.

“Omg the food was so good I loved everything. It was seriously delicious I will definitely be coming back. The hummus was amazing, the salad was not only fresh but a type I’ve never had before. The flavors and ingredients had me like what is this I was honestly blown away at how tasty a salad can be. The fish was cooked perfectly and the rice was on point. All the sides were so good too I honestly can’t find anything wrong. You can really tell the cook puts love into the food. The staff was also very kind and welcoming. I really hope it’s just as good next time I come. Their jamaica tasted super fresh and natural. My kid loved it too!“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. “The place has authentic Indonesian taste on their food. Expect self-service and to-go, but the place has a good seatings lay-out if you want to eat there, and you’ll be satisfied with the food. All food we ordered came out great, fresh, tasty. Try their fried duck, corned beef fried rice, prawn stinky bean, tempeh mendoan, and fried chicken.“
