“I walked by IndiMex and happy I walked in! The food is mind-blowing good! I ordered chicken tandoori with their special sauce on the side. They normally use for the special sauce for their Chicken Masala. The secret sauce is like nothing Ive tried before. It's sweet with hints of savory, ten stars!“

“Went to this place randomly for a late lunch, place was completely empty when we went there. I was curious cause I’ve never had Uzbek food before. It prolly is a family run business, the gentleman who took our order seemed like the one who was preparing the food as well. I like this kind of mom and pop places.

We ordered a beef noodle bowl and a lamb kabab kinda platter: the bowl was really tasty after adding a little bit of lemon juice, before that it felt like sth was missing. The lamb was so damn good ! And after the meal we ordered some “milk tea” that wasn’t on the menu and we were skeptical at first glance but were pleasantly surprised after taking the first sip. It was really refreshing :)“

“I had a delightful Iranian breakfast at Cafe de Alley in Los Angeles. The owner is a very friendly gentleman who made my experience truly special. The food was excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my visit. I highly recommend this cafe and will definitely be returning!“

“Fantastic! I randomly found this place while craving Lebanese food. While it’s not exactly that, I was intrigued by their “where Mexican meets Mediterranean” concept and stopped in. They told me their Mediterranean side is inspired by Lebanese and Syrian cuisine, and I was sold.

I got the chicken shawarma plate. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the rice was great, and I went with the baba ghanoush after they recommended it. It was so good. If you’ve never loved baba ghanoush because the eggplant is overpowering, their version is perfect for you since all the flavors are balanced nicely. The Mexican influence complements it beautifully.

The young woman who took my order told me her mother is the chef, and she made my meal. I’m officially one of her biggest fans and can’t wait to come back and try more. Delicious!

Please support this small, actuallyyy family-owned business. I’d be genuinely devastated if they ever closed. It may not have been the traditional Lebanese meal I originally came for, but bringing Mexican flavors into the mix is a brilliant idea and I’m for it. Yum!“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. “Chef Arango restaurant is a cozy and delicious spot on Pico Blvd and West Blvd. Street parking can be a little tricky but it can be done easily.
Lucky me, I work out at Planet Fitness a block away. I eat here at least once a week and I've tried many things on the menu. I highly recommend the dal tarka (yellow lentils), and the chicken dishes, especially the tandoori chicken and chicken tikka, as well as the other chicken dishes such as chicken vindaloo. He uses halal chicken and it's very flavorful. I have seen his tandoor oven and it's impressive.
Chef Arango was the head chef at famous Bengali Indian restaurant Anarkali on Melrose Ave near La Brea. I did not realize all the times I drove by this restaurant that he had already been cooking for me for years. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, with most a la carte vegetarian items being $13 and most chicken dishes being $16, which includes rice and papadum. He deserves the excellent reviews and I highly recommend eating here. It's small and comfy, and they play traditional Indian classical sitar music and other Indian music. Very highly recommended!“

“The food is hands down the best here, this spot has been my personal favourite. The Vijaywada chicken biriyani is our guilty pleasure. We have tried the malabar paratha with the abhiruchi chicken curry, that is incredible as well. My wife loves typical Indian flavours so she enjoys the spice and the intensity of the masalas. It’s preferable to discuss the spice level before ordering.If you are someone who is spice intolerant, you can either skip this place or go easier on the spices.“

“I’m really pleased and delightfully surprised! As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I was scared to order because of some of the one star reviews, but the food was GREAT! I got the medium chicken tikka masala which wasn’t too spicy so i’d move up spice levels if you like spice. The portions are generous and the chicken was tender, sauce was flavorful. The vegetable samosas were large and perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It comes with complimentary mint chutney and tamarind sauce too, which were so good. There is a BOGO deal on doordash which gives you so much bang for your buck. I highly recommend this place since it’s open late, and i’ll definitely be back!

“LATE REVIEW.

Came here for dinner the night before Valentine's and was able to be seated right away. The menu is divided into two: Moroccan and Tunisian. We wanted to try one of each but we were told by our server that we can only choose one. We found it as a bummer because of course my partner and I wanted to try different things. The food was good, just wished the portions and options were more.

Overall, it was still a pleasant experience. The entertainment from the belly dancers also made the night so fun and memorable.“

“Taste of Tehran was my first time eating at a restaurant in Tehrangeles, and it was an awesome choice. This was definitely one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I've been to in LA. Everything was so great. And yes, I ate a lot of food on the first day here. I started off with some of the stews that included gormeh sabzi, the gheyme, and ash reshteh, which were all very tasty. The surprise hit to me was the Lentil Quinoa Salad. Seriously, one of the best salads I've ever had. It was sweet, refreshing, and savory all at the same time. No words to describe. And then the meats: the koobideh and soltani plate, just fabulous, along with that lentil rice. I can honestly say that Persians make the best rice out of all Middle Eastern countries! Even the barberry rice was amazing. Never had a rice this sweet and fruity before! Overall, an amazing experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Don't be fooled by the looks of this place. It looks like a quick, over the counter order type of restaurant, but the food is top notch. Even Anthony Bourdain has been here!
