“This place is so authentic it reminded me of home . The owners are so sweet and welcoming and the FOOD is amazing !! The Ambiance was also so nice and relaxing . I recommend this restaurant for a date , group of friends and parties . Thank you again guys for an amazing evening .“
“I'm just going to start off with if you don't eat pizza go anyway just for the atmosphere. Today I had the pleasure of dining at 786° pizza. The food was simply outstanding. The crust was perfectly crispy. The cheese was gooey and flavorful and the toppings were fresh and delicious but what really set the pizza place apart was the incredible hospitality of the people who worked there chef Mari chef Chris and chef Lesli. from the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm, smiles and friendly conversation. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, and that our dining experience was exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about this pizza place. The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the staff are some of the most hospitable people I've ever encountered. chef Mari chef Chris and Leslie made our experience one of a kind. I will definitely be returning to this amazing pizza place in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal and a welcoming atmosphere.“
“I planned on eating Ralphs sushi and stumbled upon the truck to give it a try. Ended up eating here two days in a row. What a gem! Very generous portions. Fresh food and amazing taste! I’ve never had anything like this. YOU MUST GET THE MANY. My friend and I were licking the plates. It’s like dumplings, but sooooo much better. The pilaf and Shurpa are also delicious and so filling.“
“Great Halal option, great atmosphere. Loved the garlic beef. My only concern and this is shared among all Brazilian restaurants is the variety of meat that gets served to your table. We kept getting the same kind of meat and the high end stuff doesn't make it to your table until you ask for it more than once. We didn't get lamb chops till the end while we were almost full, while kept getting sirloin like 5-6 times! Aside from that the grilled pineapple is amazing.“
“This "Angels Bowl" (essentially a deconstructed hot chicken sandwich with bread swapped for crinkle fries) was everything I had hoped it would be. As a transplant who regularly grumbles at the cost-to-quality/portion size ratio of Hollywood restaurants, I feel this was good value. 2nd highest spice level was enough to get this Midwest-Polish boy sweating, but happy-sweating. Friendly staff. I'll be back.“
“Bomb shwarma spot! Highly recommended. The wraps are filled with meat and delicious veggies. The sauces are very tasty as well. The size of the wraps are big and could probably feed two people. They also have dumplings that looked really good which I will probably try next time I'm there. Add jalapeños, it gives the perfect spice to the wrap.“
“We were looking for an authentic desi food, and loved it. The place or ambience is a fast food place one, more for a carry out orders. . We ordered Goat Paya curry, Goat biryani, Chicken biryani, naan, mango lassi( really tasty), and Mixed grill. The proportion size is great. Courtesy of the owner, Karim bhai was superb, served us complimentary Ras malai. Their chai is good too. They have fresh samosas too.Tomas at the front cashier counter is also a kind lady. Overall, great experience.Pricing is reasonable too.“
“I can't believe I haven't done a review of this place yet. They do a rotating menu that features different cuisines on a monthly basis. I think the first time I went, they had Fiijian food and the second time they had Haitian. Their classic menu includes Somalian, Egyptian, Kenyan. They hire immigrant chefs that highlight their cultures which I thought was pretty dang cool.I got their pita chips with Baba ghanoush. They deep fry their pita bread but also give unfried pita bread if you prefer. But their pita chips are SO GOOD. it's like... crunchy but also chewy. kind of the best of both worlds. I got a lamb stew one time. or was it goat... It came with rice and a giant lamb shank or something. Bone was still on... kinda cut open and the marrow was still inside! Hell yeah. It was full of flavor. Lots of spice to it but not spice-y. I'm thinking maybe it was the Egyptian smothered lamb shank now that I think about it. I remember also trying some of the sambusas. Deep fried triangles filled with spiced, amazing, piping hot goodness. I love that they allow you to mix and match whatever filling you want... unlike other restaurants that make you order them in batches of 3 or whatever.Service was great. We had THE Christian Davis serving us, bringing us all the plates, describing what everything was and how it was made. An extremely pleasant experience... all for a great cause.“
“Abhiruchi is amazing! I've been going there for 2-3 years and I've never been disappointed. The Abhiruchi chicken curry, goat biryani, and the chili garlic naan are highlights, but everything I've tried has been excellent. The service is always kind and welcoming, and Omar in particular is the best. My girlfriend and I want Abhiruchi to cater our wedding!“
“my friend bashes indian food and perhaps not just their food well let's keep that to ourselves shall we the problem is the price fundamentally an american may view this cuisine as exotic however i also view it as exotic but perhaps not worth the exorbitant fees they charge perhaps indian food in LA is a bigger racket than anything scorsese filmed about“
“Insanely good restaurant with really good service and an extremely tasteful decor and music. Great atmosphere, it seems like a family owned restaurant. The food is phenamenal, I have been coming here for a decade, quality has maintained a high level.“
“Incredible fried chicken spot that also served Korean popcorn chicken which is one of my favorite dishes for Korean fast food. Their chicken sandwiches are loaded and the seasoning is spot on. It is a no nonsense location and has free parking in the heart of ktown!“
“Doner Turco in North Hollywood is a hidden gem and offers a delightful ethnic food experience. I had the chicken wrap and it was an exceptional quality experience. The wrap combined perfectly cooked chicken gyro with fresh vegetables and savory sauces. The friendly and attentive staff adds to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a convenient and accessible choice for locals and visitors alike. The restaurant's cleanliness is noticeable, creating a new options for the locals and visitors. Highly recommended!“
“I lived in koreatown my whole life and i hate that i never tried this place until today. Food was so good here. I thought chicken would be dry just like other kabob places i go but this was the best chicken kabob i ever had. All their other plates were so delicious. I would recommend to everyone.“
“After a session at the gym, I was fairly hungry and a protein shake wasn't going to do it. So decided to look up a few places and while driving, I saw this at the corner and this place had been on my bookmarks for a while and decided to give this a go instead. Since it's downtown and midday parking is horrendous, but since they're located near an alley, homegirl parked on the red and came in to do a to go order. Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. Would be coming back just to try their plate .“
“I can't say enough good things - great food, great service and its Halal! The chicken is so moist, as is the beef. The falafel isn't dry, which makes the wrap a must have. Run don't walk on this storefront. It's a little hard to find, so keep looking!“
“Every time we eat there, we are impressed by the overall quality of the food and service. Chef Arango delivers high quality food in every dish. Each item is extremely fresh and well prepared. You can also tell that the family really appreciates every single customer. I can't say enough positive things about them. I am honestly thankful to have a such a solid Indian food option right in the neighborhood.“
“Casual atmosphere, but the food in this place is as good as the best food available in Northern India. It's a hidden treasure created by a talented, caring, and creative Punjabi chef.We ordered bhindi masala, chicken korma, shrimp tandoori, yellow dal, plain basmati rice, garlic naan, and plain naan. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. You don't need to (and you won't want to) add anything to any dish (spicy peppers, pickles, salt, sauce), because the chef has thought of everything, and done everything exactly right. The bhindi (okra) is simply seasoned and has an earthy, smoky flavor, accompanied by other carefully chosen vegetables that enhance and don't overpower the bhindi. The chicken korma is tender and very tasty. The perfectly succulent shrimp tandoori is accompanied by delicious broccoli also cooked in the tandoor, and the dish arrives at your table still steaming. The yellow dal is especially delicious, as are the breads.Overall, a great and unexpected eating experience. Highly recommended.Parking: You can park in the parking spots reserved for the strip mall.“
“The Shawarma taste both chicken, and the beef are scrumptious specifically, the garlic sauce is amazing, I took the 24 plate cuz there is 12 and 24 so I got the 24. It’s more than enough for two people and the price is more than reasonable. Keep going guys. Thank you so much.“
“I recently dined at this Indian restaurant and was blown away by the culinary journey it took me on. The Chicken Makhni, Alu Gobhi, and the Garlic Naan along with the Cheese Naan were absolute delights . Each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced in spices. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. You won't be disappointed!“
“We love this place! Our family has been eating at, and enjoying, Moun of Tunis for many years. Ben, an amiable Tunisian, is still the owner and Paul, a very friendly and accommodating fellow, is still the principal server. The food quality is consistently excellent and the quantity of food served is mind-blowing, but the prices are still quite reasonable. It's a mystery to me how they do that. And the belly dancers are quite entertaining. Highly recommended!“
“I dined in this restaurant for the first time today. The rating of this restaurant is five out of five according to the quality of the food. High-quality restaurant service. The whole restaurant is very clean and I am very happy with the cleanliness and tidiness of the restaurant. When I entered the restaurant there was a nice aromatic smell inside this restaurant which made me want to write something about the restaurant.. Other Indian restaurants have a strong pungent smell of spices but in this restaurant, the only difference I got was a very nice aromatic smell which is used in various five-star hotels while stay. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautifully blended with the color of the walls of the restaurant under the light amber lights to create a dense romantic atmosphere.I am so happy with the organic food of this restaurant that I wish this restaurant all the best for the future and I look forward to seeing the success of this restaurant very high. I am happy with the food of today's restaurant and may your restaurant continue to use this type of organic and locally cut lamb, goat, and chicken in the future.I highly recommend this restaurant.Parking: Free Parking Lot.Kid-friendliness: Very kids Friendly. The owner of this restaurant gave my kid free kulfi.“
“There are few places that leave both my hunger and heart satiated. Electric Karma is one of them. From the amazing food to the wonderful customer service and the amazing company I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying here, I cannot express how happy this place makes me feel.I’m eternally grateful to have shared conversations with my dear friends in the back room, legs crossed, hunched over the low tables. There’s something so special about passing plates back and forth, ensuring everyone gets their fair share, that makes me feel so lucky.Whenever I make plans to go here, I look forward to it all day. I can’t wait to come back and share space with the host and my friends again soon. I’d give them 6 stars if I could :)“
“Food is amazing here! I love butter chicken and have tried it from several place around LA, and this one takes the take! I usually order through DoorDash but I came in this time and the service was incredible. Small little restaurant but the kitchen cranks out an impressive meal. Love.“
“This place is great. I did not give it 5 Stars because it’s rated at 4.8 and this is too high. The food is about a 4.2 and is comparable to Chik-fil-A in terms of quality. So my rating is to try and bring the average where it should be.We ordered the two slider combo (#2) and slider and tender combo (#3). I tried the medium and hot. The medium was the perfect amount of spicy and was even a little sweet. The sweetness could have been the Dave sauce which is some sort of thousand island house sauce. The hot was good too, but it did have a kick. I’m not sure I would enjoy eating two items that were both hot so beware unless you’re into spicy. The tender was delicious, juicy, and well seasoned. I believe it was a chicken breast. It’s much bigger than a Chik-fil-A filet that you can order a la carte.I almost ordered the shake but it was almost $10 with Cinnamon Toast Crunch so I decided to pass. All in all, I highly recommend you try this place.“
“I love this place. I've been coming here for years and the food is so delicious. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner on my last visit and when I tell you he's a gem of a human being.... super kind and generous. It was a quiet evening and I was visiting with a friend from back east and he was so incredibly kind to us. Full of wisdom and a deep passion for people. The food is authentically prepared with so much TLC. Can't wait to go back! It's also BYOB.The terrace is warm and cozy. The traditional Persian music is wonderful as well.“
“This place is affordable for LA and the portion size was decent. It definitely filled me up and I was satisfied. The employee that took my order ended up bringing the food to my table, which is more than I can say for Dog Haus even though they gave my table a number so the busser knew where to bring it. Definitely go here instead of there if you’re in the area.“
“Wow. I liked Indimex before they changed management, now I love it! I wrote a review 7 years ago with a follow up 6 years ago pre covid. Remember when? During Covid and even more recently, I would order and have it delivered. But tonight I saw they were open and there was parking space right in front so I went in person. Wonderfully warm new owner, quaint dining room albeit small but remodeled and the new owner has plans for more. - feels more authentically Indian with a Mexican twist. Indian movie posters and music, colorful walls and tables. Their Chicken Tikka Masala sauce is the real deal as is the raita. Delicious. The chicken tikka masala quesadillas are reasonable and filling. I'm so glad they survived Covid and with this new management I'm excited to see what comes next. Have an adventure as I said in my original posting 7 years ago. Tired of the same old same old? Support local businesses. And enjoy!“
“Wow!! Their Soup called Sotto is better than any cold medicine!Hear me out, I was feeling under the weather, I turned to Sotto Soup #204 after a friend's recommendation, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! Packed with chicken, ginger, and turmeric, this soup is like a warm hug for your immune system. Ordering via Uber Eats was a breeze, and after just one bowl, I felt like a new person – goodbye phlegm, hello productivity! Plus, it comes with a dose of white rice.Trust me, this soup is the ultimate pick-me-up for anyone feeling a bit sniffly.I also tried their vegetarian fried rice and their noodles; yum!“
“Food was hot and fresh. Service was great and friendly. Hot was definitely spicy. Lemon Pepper wings tasted like a cheap dry rub. Okay wing but it was missing that freshness from a saucy wing vs. dry rub. Nonetheless it was all a great value.“
“I'm glad this tasty, family-run restaurant is in my Los Feliz neighborhood. Happy that they've expanded their menu because the Persian Armenian food is delicious. Never had a bad meal, and never had anything but friendly service. Solid, un-pretentious, and relaxed. I dig it.“
“Daaaaang! This food was delicious! We stopped by after a long hike, purchased the OG Plate which has mostly everything they serve. And devoured it! The consome was awesome as well! Dip everything in it!? Then we washed it down with a refreshing hibiscus drink! Will be back for the burrito!“
“The experience exceeded my expectations. I came in just a few minutes before closing, and the chef came out from behind and kindly took my order for chicken kebab. He offered two versions boneless or with bone I chose with bone and after I already placed my order I decided to add on a chicken Koobideh. He said that would be 20 minutes, so I relaxed and enjoyed the smell of my made to order dinner being cooked. When I saw it prepared, I opened it up with the chef and he gave me a big smile with pride. I told my wife I'm bringing home dinner. I didn't even take a bite until I got back home 60 miles away and we enjoyed every every every everything about it. I recommend Café Aly.“
“Had one of their combo meals via delivery. Goat curry, saag paneer and a mixed veg dish with rice, naan and raita. Everything was delicious, certainly some of the best Indian food I've had close to mid city. Very much appreciate that they serve goat and have dishes on the menu that are outside the standard Indian menu you see at most places in the area. Looking forward to going in person and trying their balti dishes as well as the paya. "Very very spicy" here seems to mean mildly spicy, so if you're a chili head like me best to let them know you mean business. The cilantro mint chutney was probably the best I've ever had-so fresh. All around great food.“
“The food is great, reasonable prices as well. The service was good, the atmosphere could be better. Unfortunately at the time they were out of many of the food options.Parking: Paid parking but hard to find.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly area.“
“Came here for a snack. The chicken was pretty standard but nothing to write home about. I was impressed with the fried shrimp though. I think in a pinch it's pretty decent fried chicken and seafood around the LAX area. I'd recommend the seafood more than chicken. But I do want to try the whole wings on Wednesday for 99c.“
“ust dined at Shekarchi in downtown LA, and it’s safe to say it’s the best Persian restaurant in Southern California. The cuisine is of unmatched quality and deliciousness, blending authentic Persian flavors seamlessly. The Koobideh and Shishlik come highly recommended for those looking to indulge in the true essence of Persian culinary excellence. The atmosphere of Shekarchi sets it apart, offering a romantic vibe with an American twist, making it the perfect introduction for non-Persians keen on experiencing Middle Eastern food for the first time in an inviting, familiar environment. Shekarchi is undeniably a must-visit for a memorable culinary journey.“
“Smells good but WARNING - if you don’t have 25 minutes to wait for a chicken sandwich you are better off going elsewhere. They should really have a warning on the door that says Nashville Chicken and your grandmas speed.UPDATE: 100% worth the wait tho. So idk, guess I’ll order ahead next time! So damn good.“
“Had chicken shawarma with falafel. 4/5Also had their chai, which tasted like dipped tea with milk. 3/5Overall an ok experience. We got lucky with the street parking as we got the spot right in front of the restaurant ,otherwise might have to look for other parking spots in busier time.“
“Excellent from start to finish. Cozy little bistro serving excellent grilled meats and Mediterranean sides. The lamb chops were tasty, tender and flavorful especially when paired with the smoky velvety babaganoush. The chicken shawarma wrap was also a hit as was the succulent salmon.“
“Consistently good food. Nihari is delicious, every chicken dish i’ve had has been great, I can’t wait to try the biryani and haleem. The guys working are always very nice and helpful and it’s a fun place to be. only issue is parking but it’s not their fault.“
“This is my local location. I've never dined in because the corner where they're at is ridiculous traffic wise, both car and people. I always opt for a 2 people meal. Everything is always still perfectly hot temp wise by the time it gets to my place. Speaking of hot, their spice level is it. You can't go wrong. They stay consistent. I've yet to be disappointed with any item I've tried. Thanks for always being the perfect solution to my munchies attacks“
“A kind gentleman waiting for his order to be filled gave us, party of 4, heaps of the bread that was in his togo order. He had spread his heaps of flat breads on the dining tables to air out and " stay crispy " as he explained it. Further, same gentleman got us a menu and kept encouraging us to break bread with him. Eventually our party did munch on his offerings and sat down inside... same gentleman told us service is not the priority of this particular establishment but that the food was good. Turned out to be mostly true. Lol. What lacked in service offerings was made up for in tasty dishes. Plentiful amounts of flavorful morsels in my chicken kabob wrap, and the 3 other dishes ordered. Got yogurt drinks, which I guess are very similar to Kefir. Funny story, I mistakenly thought Naan Hut served Indian food. Only to find out that the 3 other people in our party were familiar with Naan as bread in middle eastern language... so they were impressed that I had suggested a Halal restaurant to suit their tastes, whereas in truth I thought Naan bread like tandoori chicken sounded good.Dietary restrictions: HalalParking: It's LA“
“Ordered the mixed combo with a side of lentil soup and baba for a couple of hangry truck driving types (co-pilot in photo) and this truly did not disappoint! I am somewhat of a middle-eastern food snob as I have been eating and making it for over 50 of my 60 years and this is so very good I would be proud to say I had made it myself. A lot of “middle-eastern” places serve food that is more “inspired by” then the actual thing, and after you add in a bored line cook the recipes become very blah. Not so here, all the items are spiced subtly but correctly, even the saffron rice which almost always tastes like rice with yellow food coloring at most places. The spicing on everything was done to perfection- subtle but prominent and easily distinguished from each other.Rare that I give a five star, especially when I order it from a delivery service but these people have hit it out of the park. Well done, Habibi!“
“My recent dining experience at Open Sesame was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and made to feel at home. Despite not having a reservation, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 15 minutes. The food was like a home-cooked meal, incredibly authentic, and bursting with flavor. Each dish was a delightful experience, and it was evident that great care was taken in preparing them. The service was also outstanding, exceeding all expectations. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with delicious, homestyle food and impeccable service.“
“I stumbled upon Shayan Express Restaurant, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel special. Now, let's talk about the food – an explosion of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful, and the aromatic rice dishes were heavenly. The ambiance was charming, with Persian carpets and traditional decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, and I'll be returning soon!“
“Small kitchen serving authentic persian food. Owner makes the food himself. It is a take away place. No dine in. The food is very authentic and generous amount. Would definitely recommend if you want to try Persian food specially if it's for a group of people. Would try again.“
“I've been coming here for over 10 years loyal customers nice people. The young man that makes the sandwiches has been there for a while and they better be paying him well!! The food is great but today I went and got 2 large sandwiches (thats it)and my total was almost $40. At this point, it's extortion, there's no way in hell they should be getting away with this but hey these foreigners come to America and think we made of money. Nothing has changed since the time I started coming here and paying 7.99-9.99 for the SAME sandwiche ?“
“Wow! What a great find! Everything tasted so fresh! We got Butter Chicken, Lamb Shank and Alugobi as well as the mixed appetizer! My fav was the butter chicken! The service was excellent. Everyone was so kind and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely, it's well decorated and cozy! I would definitely come back!“
“I'm so sad that this place is so far because this place is so good! My husband and I ordered the Saucy Butter Chicken Wings, Paneer Masala Fries, Kahmiri Alla Pasta, Spiced Lamb, and Curry Fun (Chana Masala and Chicken Tikka Masala). Our favorites were the wings, fries, and pasta! Must orders. We also had the Mango Lassi and the Pink Punjabi. We both preferred the Mango Lassi. The Pink Punjabi tasted like milky sprite with a hint of rose. For dessert, we finished with the Rose Doughnuts because the Halwa Ice Cream Sandwich wasn't ready. I think I would've preferred the ice cream sandwich because the doughnuts were way too sweet for me. It is a little pricey than what I'm used to - since I live closer to Little India in Artesia. But it's the pricing for the area its in to be honest. Love that this spot is halal and vegan/gluten-free friendly. There's a public parking lot that didn't have an attendant, but had signs to still pay the amount of $10 in a box. We didn't want to risk it, so we parked in the neighborhood and walked. Our service was fantastic with Rajat. The place was clean and vibrant. Everything came out hot, ready, and pretty!“
