“The food, service and environment was exquisite. I chose Mazal Restaurant for my birthday celebration and it was a total success. My friends were happy and we had a great time. I highly recommended to the point I am going back tonight. It was delicious!”
“Fantastic food! The naan was freshly made, and the hummus was amazing! I got the veggie plate filled with delicious, flavorful salads, hummus, falafel, baba ganoush, and naan. My son got the child's plate with rice and chicken. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Delicious. A great place to eat.”
“Absolutely blown away by my experience at Santuari! I had the pleasure of visiting last night and was truly impressed by the delightful ambiance, delectable food, and impeccable service. A rare gem in LA that left me longing for more! The branzino was an absolute delight and the carrots were an explosion of flavor. Whether for a romantic date night or a memorable celebration, this place ticks all the boxes. Don't miss out, it's a must-visit!”
“Fabulous restaurant, a real cultural gem. Our foodie group came through on our quest to eat from every country in Los Angeles. Started with Moroccan mint tea and bread, then into the 3 course "meat lovers" with fish (instead of a chicken pasty) and the lamb and honey tagine. Everything was fantastic (especially the tagine), food and service. Our server was fun and knowledgeable, very accommodating to some of our unusual dietary needs. Casablanca will be a new "regular" spot for us.”
“THE BEST pizza I've ever had. And I don't say that lightly. The best crust I've ever had. The pizza comes straight out of the oven onto the table. I know everyone has their own taste and favorite pizza style but I really think this pizza will blow your socks off.”
“me and my book club members went to Bacari (Silver lake) & had a blast ! The vibes were everything!!! Cal , was our waitress ... Quaran was the the manager & Ben was our other waiter .. They gave us the best overall experience & we will definitely be back .. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND :) —— btw , ask for Cal , she is hilarious .. only con is “she can't read” IYKYK .. lol jk loved her !!!!!”
“Food is the closest thing to the real deal in Turkey. I grew up eating Turkish food and go to Turkey often so I tend to be bias with restaurants. My sister and I split the Iskander Kebap and it was delicious. The food was fresh, hot, and made with quality ingredients. Reading some of the other reviews, yes, there is a little bit of a wait for your food but I’d rather wait for my food to be freshly prepared with quality ingredients and good service than receive my food quick with lack of quality or service. The only complaint I would say is the food was a little on the salty side.”
“Tucked away in a quiet niche is this great bistro that is very busy but very organized. There is a nice range of food options that all look quite tasty. We split the turkey panini, and I was able to get a Canada Dry ginger ale so plus on that. Very delicious panini as the bread was toasted perfectly and a great spread for some tangy flavor, along with a side cucumber salad, most refreshing from the usual burger and fries, and more heart and gut healthy. Yes I know we'll be back 'cause She liked it and it has very clean surroundings and the people are friendly and have an excellent product. Thanks, see you again.”
“Stumbled across Kabob Bowl before hitting the Goodwill Bins; great food: the chicken was marinated perfectly, very tender, juicy, nice charred edges - very delicious! Portions were large and the prices were very affordable, considering everything costs more in LA. Well worth the money. I definitely will try Kabob Bowl again!!!”
“Glad to have found another bang for your buck restaurant located in Eagle Rock. I live really close so my family and I decided to try this spot for dinner last night. The moment we sat down, Juan, was very attentive to us. He served us chips and salsa right away while we were browsing the menu. We ordered two Combo Platters (Shirazi and Hummus for the sides) and we were not disappointed! Big portions, very flavorful and filling, and it will make you want to come back for more.”
“During our visit to LA we did extensive research to go to an authentic Persian Restaurant and we found Chell Sotoon. Having tried Persian spots in several major cities in US and Canada, Chell Sotoon is among my top Persian dining experiences. The restaurant is clean and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thanks to their friendly host, Jay. We tried chicken kabob and beef kobideh both of which were very tender and my entire family enjoyed. We will be coming again on our next visit to LA.The space is family friendly with lots of space for a big groups and events. Also the space is big enough for little ones to roam. Please note it's located on the second floor and the restaurant is wheelchair accessible via elevator.”
“This restaurant had an amazing, romantic ambiance to it that really improved the vibe between my partner and I. The food is pricy, but the presentation of it and the taste was astonishing. The service was fine, we were greeted promptly and checked back on every now and then.”
“I ordered take out online. Meat was very tender and food was delicious. Inside restaurant atmosphere was nice with a little outside courtyard and fountain. Person helping me was very friendly and nice. This is a gem in Korea town for Persian food lovers.”
“I came for lunch and was greeted by one of the brothers who was very kind. I ate at one of the tables under the pergola. The food was fresh and flavorful. The falafel are so light but since they are made to order the outside is perfectly crispy... they were delicious!!! The hummus is smooth, the salad was perfectly dressed- in fact I was surprised at how much I liked the salad. There was probably a whole cucumber in there. The pita is large and flaky... This was divine.”
“Tiny little gem shop with irresistible Khachapuri ( a Georgian cheese filled bread) that I adore and it’s exactly the reason why we decided to try this place! Well, we didn’t get disappointed… we tried the garlic mushroom KHACHAPURI & it was just woooow! The bread is perfectly leavened, fluffy and so cheesy, just heaven. We also tried the chicken parm sandwich and hot cod burger ( which was very very hot!) both good but we will definitely try other options from the menu next time. See you next time & bon appétit ;)”
“I've been around the block with falafels these were pretty decent and okay. Hummus tasted like canned chick peas you can taste the difference between canned and dry ones nothing wrong with either or. Personally i like things with a little elbow grease and things done old skool. Overall pretty okay experience. To each thier own. Service was great however!”
“consistently great persian food. i eat here a lot and never leave disappointed. the meat is always juicy and tender, the rice soft and buttery. veggies grilled to perfection. the portions are large so you will leave full or with leftovers. i'm always looking for delicious and authentic iranian koobideh in the valley, and this is the best i've found so far!”
“Absolutely delicious! I’ve been to this location quite a few times over the last few months, and the food hits the spot every time. Mediterranean food is a personal favorite of mine, and this does not disappoint—the spices, the meats, and sauces are on point. The meat is always tender and well-seasoned (chef’s kiss). Savory and filling af.My go-to is the lamb & beef gyro; gotta shoutout the sauces and hummus provided! Def recommend trying it out if you already haven’t.”
“This review is for Anwar's Kitchen catering service and food. From the start, communication and order was easy and accommodating. We had chicken, beef and salmon wraps with vegetables served for an event this past weekend. The food was such a treat and we received many compliments. Our caterer, Moe came with extras for us on top of what we had ordered and plenty of sauces. To top it off, we were able to have conversations about Palestine with our guests, with delicious food as the conversation starter.Thank you for making our event super memorable and successful with amazing food and service.”
“We've been going here for years - well before they moved to their current home at Lemon Poppy Cafe. The food has always been a treat - nourishing to the palate as well as simply feeling like home. The staff are wonderful, and the food they prepare is honest and refreshing, and portioned nicely. Happy to have them in the neighborhood, and hope they continue to shine a Romanian light on our neck of the woods for years to come.”
“We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Tabla by Sofi. It was a Tuesday night, and we almost had the restaurant to ourselves. We ate outside and the patio is great. Good people watching and excellent food. The service was fantastic as well. Don't hesitate, go to Tabla by Sofi!”
“It was my first time visiting this place. We came in for breakfast, and it was empty. We were greeted and seated right away. The gentleman attending our table was attentive and friendly. The food came out quick, I got their smoked salmon, and it was delicious. Their hummus was also great and fresh. There is plenty of parking available on the lot, overall excellent experience, and great food.”
“We absolutely love this place. Straight up, I’m not a fan of tapas: whoever invented the idea of paying more money for less food is unquestionably an evil person, BUT… the food here is just so damn good. We’ve been a half dozen times and while yes, it’s pricey, it’s worth it. From the inviting patio out back to the charming servers TO THE FOOD(did I mention the food already?) it’s the perfect date night spot, across the board. Also, I know this sounds dumb because like… they’re just potatoes, but don’t sleep on the Spicy Potatoes. They’re kind of life changing.”
“Culinary Excellence and Outstanding Hospitality! I recently had the pleasure of dining at Next Door Restaurant, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable evening. Chef Guy's culinary expertise truly shines through in every dish. Each plate is a masterpiece, a perfect blend of flavors and creativity that showcases the chef's passion for fine dining. The attention to detail and use of fresh, high-quality ingredients were evident in every bite, leaving my taste buds delighted and craving more. But it's not just the incredible food that makes Next Door stand out. The addition of the new host has elevated the overall dining experience. The host's professionalism and warm demeanor added a personal touch, making us feel genuinely welcomed. Their attention to our needs and seamless coordination with the kitchen and waitstaff contributed to the flawless service we received throughout the evening. The ambiance, combined with Chef Guy's culinary prowess and the charm of the new host, creates a dining experience that deserves nothing less than five stars. Next Door Restaurant is a gem, and I can't wait to return for another exquisite meal. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience!”
“Habayit Restaurant truly delivers an authentic and delectable taste of Middle Eastern cuisine. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience that tantalizes the senses. I can't wait to return and explore more of their culinary treasures!”
“No complaints. Easy to order and pick up. Not as easy to eat, but the sandwich was great. Vegetarian to-go review:Called in an order for the grilled beets sandwich (it says online that there's a limited quantity, but it seemed fine on a Saturday around 4.30pm). Placed the order, tapenade on the side, Drove up 10min later, picked up after a few minutes, and done. Parking: not great. Limited, so it was lucky that someone could just drop me off and sit behind some other parked cars. Maybe there's a lot I don't know about around back, but all I saw was metered on the street. Sandwich: lovely. Full of all sorts of fresh greens and pickled ones, feta cheese, beets, and an egg. This is not an eat-in-the-car sandwich, though. Very good, moderately messy. Well worth it.”
“We are from Costa Rica and all agree that this is one of the best breakfast is't ever had in our life. Mo at the front taken our order and Simon waiting on us were delightful. ❤️ the line was a little long but it went fast and was worth the wait.I highly recommend it!!!”
“Great service! Extremely friendly, welcoming & accommodating. I popped my head in to check it out and got a drink but al eager to try their food. It smells delicious & everything is freshly made to order....I am including pics of their menu which they said has increased since opening. Plus, I realized there are menu's listed here that don't apply to this business.”
“The Persian food at Jino's Pars is delicious! I tried the Beef Soltani Kabob, a combination of a skewer of barg kabob and a skewer of koobideh kabob, both well-done. The meat was perfectly well-done and still juicy as you can see in the picture attached to this review. The rice was fluffy and surprisingly low salt/low butter. Of course, if you love butter like I do, you can always fold some butter into your rice. This dish comes with a choice of shirazi salad or lentil soup. I chose the shirazi salad - it was packed with flavor and herbs. I also ordered the maust o moosir, Greek yogurt and elephant garlic, and it was the best maust o moosir I have had in a long time (other than my mom's because my mom makes the best Persian cuisine in the world)! The meal is served with complimentary hot pita bread and butter. Portions are excellent and easily shareable.Service was amazing. Mohsen was the best host and Antonio ensured that every request was addressed.Ambiance was great, open floor plan, easy to walk around, classical music playing in the background. This is a great place to come solo, as a couple, or with family or friends. I highly recommend Jino's Pars for excellent Persian food and customer service!”
“This is hands down the best kabob in Los Angeles. No joke, no hyperbole. Not even Raffi’s in Glendale can compete. The review talking about “curry spice” in their chicken is flat out wrong. Hole in the wall vibe, cash only, and easy to miss. Everything is made in-house and the owner is always there and a sweet, wonderful man. Limited parking, but everything else is A+”
“3 out of 4 people in our party have celiac and have to eat gluten free. Good thing Levant only serves gluten free dishes. So it was a nice change of pace to not have to ask which dishes are GF and which isn't.We sat outside in this corridor space. Very nice atmosphere, there's olive trees around that makes you feel like you are dining in Europe or somewhere else. The service was great, the owner was attentive and charming but not over bearing. He gave us some antidotes on the restaurant's origin. They share a small parking lot with a couple other businesses, it hasn't been a problem for us to find parking but that may not be true at all times.Highly recommend for any celiac or gluten free eaters.”
“When you have a large party Momed is our go to because we never feel crowded. They have large tables and we can eat communally. The food is always consistently good and the ambience is inviting and warm without feeling claustrophobic for large parties.”
“Such fantastic, genuine Persian cuisine. My boyfriend and I dined here for the first time, and it was a fantastic introduction to Persian food. We began with tea, then savored the chicken + beef combo, and concluded with the most amazing flan. The service was exceptional, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, and the food was simply outstanding. We'll certainly return! A special thanks to our waiter, even though I didn't catch his name, he was excellent!”
“Simply my favorite place in Los Angeles to eat. Loved it when it was vegetarian and it’s even more amazing now that they offer a fish and lamb. Everyone here is very kind and accommodating and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They truly put love into their food and ambience.”
“Sumac is a hidden gem and I was pleasantly surprised with taste of Lebanese family cooked food. If you want to taste the authentic home cooked Lebanese food...visit this place, as you will walk away with flavor, taste and ambiance of a family cooked meal that will touch your heart and leave a everlasting memory. 5 stars all day”
“Amazing!!! Came here on a Wednesday afternoon, and was greeted by Hazer. I was unsure what to order. He was assertive and helpful with my decision. I got the chicken and rice bowl. It was phenomenal! Flavors packed in each bite. The vegetables, chicken and rice were fresh and extremely flavorful. Would highly recommend coming by Gastrobot Eats. Also, their hot sauce was a perfect blend of spice and flavor. Complemented the bowl very well!”
“Long story short, give this place a go! The staff was VERY friendly and gave great recommendations. The portions were amazing for the price and I enjoyed the entire meal. My partner and I both got the chicken kabab plate and the entire time we were eating we were commenting on how great and fresh everything was. The owner(?)/manager(?) came out during our meal and gave us a small slice of honey cake on the house, which really hit the spot! We both give two thumbs up and will be putting this place into our rotation.”
“The food is fantastic.I'm VERY picky when it comes to food. This isn't just plain tortas tomatoes pan lechuga . No. The taste is something to look forward to. It's not just a sandwich you pack for lunch. This is a good spot when you're in a chill mood to try something to break up the monotonous rotation of food you eat.The wait was long, but the food was worth it.I'll return here in the future. Glad I live so close.”
“We generally go to A Votre Sante 2-3 times a month, on weekends. It has so many great choices though I've only ever had the egg white scramble which is literally everything I want on a weekend. The service is always amazing as is the ambience. Great local place that feels like home!”
“Since my husband is fully vegan (and I am mostly so) this restaurant has been on our Bucket List for a few years. When we knew we would be in LA for a week, visiting from NC, we looked forward to a nice dinner here. We expected it to be very good but it far exceeded our expectations - in fact, we were absolutely floored at how superb it was. We were swooning! We both ordered the Lasagna Bolognese - it was so divine that after the first bite we just stopped and looked at each other with an "OMG" expression. For desert, my husband had the cheese plate and I had the special (cannot remember the name but it was delish). But the main dish was really the star. When we left, we were both stuffed but by the time we drove back to our hotel, we decided we needed to eat here again - in fact, the next day! The next day we arrived around brunch time and ordered Tagliatelle Bolognese and a deep-dish pizza - again, sheer perfection. Now we are planning a trip to Las Vegas so we can eat at the Crossroads every day.”
“Delicious food, great yelp deal, fast and friendly service! Matzo ball soup ia very tasty as are all the meat dishes we have tried so far (Cornish game hen sandwich and plate, schwarma, and beef kebab sandwich). This has become a regular place for us to visit!”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Greek restaurant, and it was quite the experience! Here's a breakdown of my visit:The meal kicked off with a unique soup that, while delicious, could have benefited from a pinch more salt. It had a distinctive, eggy quality which may not be to everyone's taste, but it added a comforting touch. The only minor letdown was the color, which didn't quite match my expectations for this type of dish. When it comes to portion sizes, they don't mess around! The servings were generous, and I left the restaurant with a full belly and a takeout container in hand.Historical Ambiance (5/5):One of the highlights of this restaurant is its rich history. The decor exudes an old-world charm, and you can feel the connection to Greek traditions in every nook and cranny. It's like stepping back in time while enjoying a modern dining experience.Service (5/5):The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout my visit. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. Special shoutout to Peter, who went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was memorable.Convenience (5/5):One thing that impressed me was how easy it was to handle leftovers. The to-go boxes were conveniently located, making it a breeze to pack up any uneaten food. This attention to detail shows they value their customers' time and convenience.Falafel (3/5):While most of the dishes were outstanding, the falafel left a little to be desired. It was a tad on the dry side, which made it less enjoyable compared to the other delectable offerings.Overall, this Greek restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a hearty meal in a setting steeped in history. The friendly staff, convenient takeout options, and enormous portions make it a standout choice. Just keep in mind to maybe skip the falafel and explore the other tempting menu options.”
“The food here is amazing. Everything on the menu is fantastic. The courtyard is a great place to eat while hanging with friends. They have heaters too so it's not cold, even at night.Parking: It can be tricky to find a spot on Adams at night. Also a lot of the side streets start ticketing cars after 6pm so make sure to read the signs wherever you park.”
“Me and my friends went to Holly Grill Food Truck last wednesday. I must tell you their shawarma and chicken sandwich left me thoroughly impressed. The shawarma was expertly grilled, boasting succulent slices of marinated meat that were bursting with flavor. Each bite was a harmonious blend of aromatic spices and a satisfying balance of juiciness and char. The chicken sandwich was equally exceptional, featuring tender and well-seasoned chicken complemented by fresh toppings that added a delightful crunch. The overall experience was a testament to the food truck's commitment to quality ingredients and skillful preparation. I can't wait to indulge in their delectable offerings again soon.”
“Amazing Lebanese restaurant that has had consistent food quality for years.Every single dish here is worth trying but chicken kafta with lots of garlic sauce is my personal fave, as well as okra stew and mloukhieh.Do yourself a favor and try this place!Pictured: Em Tony’s Mloukhieh ?”
“I want to say my big fat. Thank you to Mezzo restaurant,To the manager, great guy,The owner Armen I don't know what to say. Thank you brother so much for everything. Whatever you did for me and for my family. God bless you.Parking: Good enough,Volley parking. It's very safe.”
“Ask for beef shawarma "Dio's way". One of the best shawarma's I've had in my life. Has all the regular toppings + pickled turnips & garlic sauce. Meat was tender and juicy, not overcooked which most places do. They have an outdoor area you can sit as well. If no street parking there's parking in the back.”
“Just a short 8 min walk from LA Live, this place has great food, reasonable prices, and WAY LESS lines than the restaurants directly inside LA Live and with 1-2 blocks.Got the Greek salad and the dolmas. Had a bit of everyone else's meal at the table too and from the kebabs to the spicy hummus, everything was full of flavor and delicious. It is a little more of a walk from LA Live but there is so little wait and such great service, it is the best dining hack for LA Live out there!”
“The perfect cleanliness and the appealing smell created the ideal environment for a memorable meal. It demonstrated its dedication to fostering a welcoming atmosphere for its patrons. I had a better overall impression of the eatery as a result of the care taken to keep it neat and tidy, and I felt at ease and confident in the level of the cuisine and staff there.”
“Food was so delicious! I highly recommend this place. Eating at the counter was a cool experience too. The dishes we had were all unique and interesting and also tasted so good, which is sometimes a hard balance to strike. I would recommend this place highly to anybody visiting LA.”
