“Absolutely unbelievable. Get anything and you can’t lose. Just make sure to ask for the lemonade. Was recommended by a local gallery owner and you will NOT be disappointed. That lemonade is so refreshing that it could receive King Tutankhamen.“

“The little plates are yummy. I love the pita bread that came with the hummus (Salatim plate). The other plates were good also. I loved the bread pudding (I think it's better than the best cake). What I like the most about Bacari, besides the beautiful ambiance, is the friendliest staff.“

“3.5/5 for something of this scale.
I’ve always wanted to come here since 2014 but just remembered and book a table yesterday. It was very exciting for us.
The atmosphere was fantastic. We got here around 6pm, so it wasn’t too loud yet and we were able to have an intimate dinner.
Appetisers were amazing - we got the oysters and the Portuguese octopus. It was very fresh and delicious.
Entrees, on the other hand, were alright. Both filet mignon and papa-deli pasta came out lukewarm. Both the taste and presentation was a little underwhelming comparing to the bar set by the appetiser. It wasn’t not delicious but there are plenty of places with better tastes.
Service was amicable, they payed attention to details very well. Valet was 14$, which isn’t unexpected but still quite absurd. The bill comes out 200$+ for two people and for the palette quality, I wouldn’t say it was worth it.
Overall experience was quite mid, wouldn’t recommend for or against nor come back anytime soon.
Parking: Valet is 14$“

“The outside look of this restaurant does not represent the Inside. Very lovely décor inside. Lunch was pretty busy but service is great. Food does not take long.
I had Ghormeh Sabzi. The stew as its described, is different from my understanding. Basically had one type of herb and meat plus the sauce. The sauce taste very strong. I cannot describe the flavor.
The prices are not bad. Very reasonable.
Stick with the Kabobs.“

“Love Dune! Great spot for a quick bite of something Mediterranean. In the heart of Atwater village too! Highly recommend the falafel plate as well.
Vegetarian options: Love the veggie options here, the falafel is so good and I am usually very picky about falafel!“

“Fantastic Food and Great Service!
We eat at this Restaurant, and we were very impressed! The koobideh was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Ghormeh Sabzi was delicious with a rich, authentic taste that reminded me of home. And I have to mention the tahdig—crispy, golden, and simply amazing. The portions were generous, and the service was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Persian cuisine!“

“Tucked away in an unassuming area of the city, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. With just one incredibly talented chef running the entire operation—from cooking to serving—you will be amazed by the precision and professionalism on display. Despite managing everything alone, the chef is efficient, courteous, and goes above and beyond to ensure each guest feels welcome.
The restaurant itself is small, cute, and perfectly neat. It exudes charm with its cozy atmosphere and impeccable cleanliness, which makes the dining experience even more enjoyable. During our visit, the place was full, hosting a party of 11 alongside another table of 4 people. Yet, the chef managed to serve everyone on time without compromising the quality or presentation of the food.
We tried all the dishes on the menu, and every single one was a masterpiece—flavors that were perfectly balanced, ingredients that were fresh, and dishes presented with care. Although there are not many vegetarian options, the ones available were thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
This restaurant is a testament to the dedication and passion of its chef, who has created an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you are seeking an intimate meal or a full-course feast, this hidden gem will not disappoint. Highly recommend visiting and totally worth the drive to the area!“

“This sharwama restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Middle Eastern flavors. The shawarma is perfectly seasoned and juicy, wrapped in fresh bread with crisp veggies and a tangy sauce. The falafel is also fantastic—crispy outside, tender inside, and packed with flavor. Portions are generous, and the hummus is smooth and balanced. With a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff, and also offers a delightful experience at a great value. Highly recommend!“

“Their falafel is the best I’ve ever tasted in all of Los Angeles and that is not an exaggeration
Their bread is better than Raffi’s
The wraps are better than the kebab shop
Even the Dolmas are better that Papa Cristi’s
Their prices are on point
Interior is clean. I can’t complain. I’ll be coming back often“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. I already told Fatemeh that I'll be coming back again. سپاسگزارم“

“I saw that this place had been open not too long ago and happened to walk by it the other day and was enticed by the smell.
Today I decided to give it a try and based on the customer service alone, I will be returning!
Angel and Chris were super helpful and helping me decide what to order my first time and made some accommodations for me which I really appreciated. They really went above and beyond and it's nice to be able to have an experience like that when the media has been hammering away that quality customer service is in decline.
I'm happy to say that that is not the case here!
Looking forward to my next visit!“

“The owner is one of a kind, not only is the food the best quality and Persian cuisine in westwood, but the owners attentiveness to detail is also extraordinary. The workers and owner have never missed a detail in any of my orders while always being diligent regarding the timing of my take out orders. My favorite is the sangak pizza and juicy chicken kabob. Can’t go wrong with those. I only do take out so I’ve never dined in but the sauces they offer for the salad and pizza are also great. Definitely try them out for your next dine in or takeout experience.
Also, the owner waited for me to pick up my order after closing time since I was running late. Really the best.“

“Friendly staff, good menu options, I selected the Cornish Hen kabob with barley soup, both of which were tasty. I wish I had asked for some lemon to squeeze into the soup as I think it would have elevated it just a little more.
The baclava for desert met expectations.“

“The service was VERY friendly. My server, and several others, greeted me with genuine smiles. Started with Warak Enab Dolma/Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), which were excellent. They are the non-vinegar type which I much prefer, firm with plenty of rich olive oil. Then the Sea Bass entrée. Two full filets traditionally seasoned, a large salad, and potatoes. The tomatoes are perfect! Beautiful tea service. Very quaint atmosphere, friendly staff with genuine smiles, everything well presented. Will definitely be back. FYI: Ample free parking on the roof, enter on Western Ave (Petco).“

“York Kabob deserves high praise for their exceptional customer service. Despite the initial oversight of forgetting to include the stew in my order, they promptly rectified the situation by delivering two kinds of stew to my doorstep at no extra charge. Their attentiveness and willingness to make things right left a lasting positive impression. The food itself is delicious, with fresh ingredients and perfectly marinated kabobs cooked to order. York Kabob's commitment to customer satisfaction is truly commendable, making them a standout restaurant in this area
