“As part of a family date day we stopped by the Morrison on our way back from Griffith Observatory. As usual, it didn't disappoint. It was still happy hour which was indeed a plus.WILLIAM was our server. He was very nice and friendly. He checked on us numerous times. Enough that we knew were taken of but not too much that he interfered with our lunch.I ordered 1903 lagger and my wife ordered the "Spring Fling". Her drink wasn't loaded but I could definitely taste the alcohol. Drinks were tasty and paired well with the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and turkey burger. We swapped the regular fries with sweet potato fries. We didn't know it when he ordered but they were garlic fries and let me tell you they were... Pretty good! My wife had to leave her regular fries to steal my sweet potatoes. My daughter had the kids meal burger sliders on Hawaiian bread. The serving of fries was NOT kid size. She was over the moon... She loves fries. We ordered dessert, cookies and ice cream. My daughter thought she was in heaven. I didn't partake bc I had had too many garlic fries but they both seemed to enjoy them.Needless to say we'll be back again sometime soon.In the meantime - if you're looking for a yummy meal in a cool ambiance, look no further and stop by the Morrison (no, I was not in any way compensated for this review!)Oh and parking is not the best (small parking lot) but easy to find parking in the street. Be patient and believe me it is worth the wait!!“
“Many who dine out know about the chicken sandwich craze which spread across the nation several years ago. From gourmet style to fast-food many eateries jumped in to offer their take. Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. Many rave about Memphis style chicken and they should but Le Coupe uses its Louisiana Cajun heritage to make it a "must stop." Their sandwich is exceptional. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“
“Are you willing to work for your food? Are you willing to wait in a long line? If the answer is yes then please take the time to try Apollonia's. Their hours are strange and they are cash only in the restaurant but it's worth it.This is best thin slice pizza I have had in California. They also have incredible Detroit style slices. The pepperoni vodka slice is a must try.Very little parking.Parking: Very little parking. Small lot that is always full.“
“Food - The best in Korea Town. When I arrived, there were three customers sitting at tables, and five to six were standing, waiting for to-go orders. This place, despite its name, is not a dine-in specialty restaurant but rather a take-out specialty. There were no servers and they were too busy to pack to-go orders.Parking: Finding a street parking spot is incredibly hard, especially on Fridays.“
“What a lucky find while walking to a major shopping center nearby. Easy to miss on the south side of 3rd street, but worth the hunt. Absolutely delicious chicken and sides. Very healthy and reasonably priced. Super clean establishment with friendly staff.“
“I've been to Skaf's a couple of times now. As many reviewers note, the cheese roll is a must get if you love and respect yourself and your happiness. Queso fresco and feta fried in the crispiest wrapper is a match made in heaven.Grape leaves are also a wonderful appetizer, especially if you're like me and could accidentally put away 12 of this if not paying attention.I often find falafel to be disappointing in restaurants and much better homemade, but Skaf's falafel would give even the best homemade falafel a run for its money. The texture is exactly how it should be - crisp, crunchy exterior with a soft (but not gummy) interior. The falafel is also jam packed with flavor and surrounded by insanely well executed tabbouleh (perfectly seasoned), cabbage salad, hummus, and babaganouj. Their wraps are solid as well, but the veggie combo plate is where it's at!Lebanese coffee on the side on a rainy day at Skaf's. Kindest servers as well“
“My boyfriend and I were craving for some healthy but filling food and stumbled upon Mad Rebel. And we are so glad we did and will definitely be coming back! The chef makes his own dressings and the ingredients were all so fresh. We got the Marley, Desperado, and Healthy Heart, and we were both blown away how delicious healthy food can be. The owner quotes “I want my food to give energy and for those eating it not feel gross after” and we sure left satisfied and feeling great!!“
“Pleasant vibe for breakfast in good location on Sunset. Very efficient, warm and welcoming staff. That’s important. Disappointed by the biscuit and hashbrowns. But excellent coffee! I like espresso and this one is very good. Large menu. They also have vegan dishes.Kid-friendliness: It is clear that this place would be a good pick with kids. Relaxed.A lot of choices. And pancakes!“
“I am a Korean living in Philadelphia. On my first day in LA, I visited for a quick dinner. I ordered Spicy pork, Bulgogi, and Korean fried chicken. I especially recommend the spicy pork! It tasted like eating in Korea. I hope to open a branch in Philly too?“
“This place stays busy around lunchtime. So I suggest placing your order by phone if you don't like to stand in line. The cashiers are friendly and take orders fast. The place is neat and very clean. They have a huge variety of drinks, chips and dessert. The prices are along oar with every other deli. They have a nice variety of sandwiches. If you want a salad they make them fresh. They have a wide variety of bread and ingredients you can add to your sandwich. They also have hamburgers, turkey burgers and fries. You can order your sandwich hot or cold. The food tastes really good.“
“Based on Uber eats orderCrazy salmon bowl was a 3.5. - had too much carrots, I put no green onions but still was added. Wish there was more salmon. Açaí bowl was 4 but wish it was filled to the top a bit. Smoothie was a 5- the pecan parfais“
“Food - delicious, fresh, healthy, and tasty. Ordered Mezze Lamb Platter, Bocquerones Toast (avocado toast on sourdough bread topped with a hot sauce and anchovies) So Good, must get! - and a shepherd's salad with Bulgarian Sheep Feta. Anchovy was not fishy at all. If I was eating blindfolded, I would not have guessed the toast had anchovies. My new go-to! Service was helpful. We called our order ahead for pickup. Host was friendly and welcoming. Ambiance - beautiful afternoon, great So Cal weather, outside seating, friendly staff and beat lunch crowd. Delicious food. What more can you ask for!“
“I recently dined at Arag Mongolian Cuisine and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. The fried dumplings were simply divine, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. The beefsteak was tender and juicy, while the tefteli with ground beef was a delicious twist on traditional Russian cuisine. The proximity to Russian flavors added a unique touch. Highly recommended for a delightful culinary adventure!“
“Fave spot in LA and order here at least 2-3x a week. Best, most creamiest hummus I’ve had in my life. Rice is cooked to perfection every time. Both their salads are delicious and refreshing, Tabouleh Oaxaca Salad is a must try. Taco plate with chicken and cauliflower is my go-to. Everything is fresh and packed with flavor. Prices are affordable/reasonable and portions are perfect. Owners are super friendly and you can tell they put a lot of care and passion into their food.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and vegetarian friendly.Parking: Has its own parking lot. About 7 spaces.“
“This is a great lil joint hiding away in a not often traveled part of DTLA. It’s a small and cozy spot but the food they cook up is delicious and very good portion sizes. Nothing is crazy overpriced and the flavors of everything are spot on. We got the beef and chicken lule combo and lamb chop combo and loved it all. The char and flavor of the chops and lule was amazing. Plus the rice that comes with it was cooked perfect and I love that it comes with a sumac seasoning to add. Would definitely go back and recommend“
“All foods I have tried here are very fresh, and people are always so welcoming. I especially like the strawberry matcha latte, squeezed orange juice, croissant ham sandwich, tuna kimbap, and the chicken salad. The turkey sandwich is great, too, as it has many fresh cut veggies inside, but I would recommend croissant sandwich over it as I just personally like the bread part being croissant better. There are seats inside the cafe, and although I have not eaten inside, it rather looked spacious.“
“The most authentic Thai restaurant we have found in LA! Very close to what you'll experience in Thailand. We ordered the Som Tum, Tom Yum soup, pumpkin curry, Pad Thai, Eggplant, Hot Basil with tofu (probably a bit more plain than we expected), Pad Woon Sen (most SoCal Thai restaurants botch it, but Chao Krung Thai masterfully presented a perfect, dry, fried version) and mango sticky rice. I would come back again in a heartbeat. Among the cons are difficult parking, slow service and very dark interior.“
“Grain Café Van Nuys is creative LA California cuisine/Mexican/Central American food. They will work with you to figure out particular dietary requirements/restrictions. This branch is in a space that used to be a single family dwelling, although hasn't been used that way for decades. So you still have a homey environment to eat in. It just adds to the warm experience. Recommended highly!“
“I went into this cafe thinking it was exclusively bakery and espresso not knowing that it's literally a full on restaurant brunch spot!!! I will definitely be returning to try some food menu items but the lattes I ordered were more than just a glimpse into what the staff at highly likely are capable of!!! Veryyyy aesthetically pleasing! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating!“
“This new spot on 8th Street is exactly what we needed. In Downtown, it's difficult to find a spot with fresh food that's delicious and quick. Because this spot is new, there is a bit of a wait for the food but not more than you would expect for food that is being prepared for you on the spot. Everything tastes fresh, not frozen. The staff is friendly and the store is clean. We had a lunch catered for the office. Everyone was pleased and that's sometimes difficult to do when you have 10 people with differing tastes. This means there's one more place where I can grab lunch that's not fried food. My favorite side is their broccoli! I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer.“
“The only pizza that I'm willing to drive an hour to get. Hands down to their fluffy and airy Hokkaidough. Their mushroom magic pizza is by far the best. I also ordered their wings and they were delicious! Quality of ingredients were very fresh!“
“Our favorite pizza place in L.A. out of more than a dozen we've been to. We always get their XL Flyin' Hawaiian which has pineapple, Canadian bacon, and (real) bacon bits. Also, their music is so awesome- usually reggae or something similarly upbeat and laid back. I'm always Shazaming songs while waiting for the pizzaParmesan and pepper flake shakers are usually on the tables but if they forgot just ask, they're really good. It's worth it to ask“
“First time visiting and first time trying a chopped cheese... loved it! It was very cheesy, had fresh vegetables, quality beef, and the bread had a nice crunch and chew to it. It's a pretty decent sized sandwich and cost around $17. The employee at the register was super cool and gave us a run down of the menu and gave their recommendations.Seating inside is kinda first come first serve, so just grab a table if you see one open. There might also be tables set up outside to eat right on the sidewalk, but it'd be a bit noisy because of Sunset. We went for lunch on a weekend and it was pretty busy!“
“This is the best Turkish food in town. The quality of the food is great. Everything is fresh, The portions are pretty big. My favorites are Sultan Delight and Adana kabab. Their Baba ganouj is the best in LA. It's not heavy. They have a small area where you can eat but it's mostly takeout. This place is literally a hidden gem.“
“The food was absolutely amazing! Everyone at the party loved the food. The meat was super Tender and juicy. All the salads and bread was delicious. I’m so impressed with their service. I wish I took pictures of the presentation before we ate all the food.“
“Cute brunch spot w unique things. Parking is annoying to find (just street parking), there was a wait, and tbh some service was kinda rude they have experimental dishes, but overall I think we ordered well and got good food! Seasonal Shaq ($19)- tbh, this tasted like tomato sauce in a pan for me but my friend really likes their shakshuka so maybe I'm unseasoned. Their bread is yummy and fun! Rainbow Toast ($15) - their viral toast, it was good! Brioche was fluffy with nice variety of jams. Think it's steeply priced so I feel like I could make this at home LOL but good to try once Classic Latke tot ($19) - crowd favorite, this was unique and really good! Superrrr crispy potato with a lovely balance of flavors (salty/briney roe, creamy creme fraiche, sweet jam) Just a little expensive for the portion but I'd get this again! Crispy works ($15) - also a favorite from us! Crispy rice was delicious with a really good balance of flavors. It's not heavy and this portion was also really good for the price, also would get this again! Instagram - @joangela.eats“
“The food is delicious!! They have both burmese food and hot pot / dry pot hot. I tried the burmese food and dry hot pot and it was excellent! The restaurant is a passion project of the owner and it really shows, he just wants people to be able to have delicious burmese food, and he is proud of his heritage. all around awesome!“
“What a gem! Absolutely delicious. I had an asada burrito with a kale agua. The agua was so refreshing. The burrito was crazy! Everything fresh, perfectly seasoned. Just a perfect burrito. My wife had asada and fish tacos with a kale agua. She said these are the best tacos she's ever had. Really cool spot and the customer service was wonderful. Look forward to coming back soon!“
“This place is a hidden gem. The portions are big and the price is small. The food is absolutely delicious. The customer service was spot on. The next time I'm in the area this will be my go to spot. I will definitely eat there and take a meal to go.“
“Finally: the best vegan Pizza is back!!Pineapple Express! We’ve been waiting so long! It’s a festival of flavour! :DParking: The parking lot at Purgatory has a small number of spots and it’s kind of difficult to navigate through. S Utah Street has plenty of street parking.“
“This place is awesome for lunch! Everything is always super fresh and you can tell it's made to order. Portions are perfect and everyone that works there is super friendly. They make pretty much everything in house (hummus, dips, sauces) and all the baked goods are homemade too (the bread is homemade!!) And the parking lot is a huge plus! The food tastes great to go as well so a great option for lunch or quick dinner“
“I received a free coupon for one item, I opted for the chicken sandwich. It was really tasty, not greasy at all, the bun was soft had a sweetness to it almost like a Hawaiian bun, the pickles were crispy and delicious and overall my food experience was really good. I believe I met the owner, he was very kind and gracious to allow me to taste some of their homemade beverages. I thought all were good. Overall I had a good experience and will definitely be back when I have a chicken sandwich or tenders craving. So many options to choose from so I look forward to trying it all out.“
“I am so glad I finally got to try Alfalfa! If you're looking for a healthy, stress free (there's a parking lot!), pretty in pink, zen-like breakfast, lunch, or dinner - Alfalfa is it. They also have a location in Santa Monica if you're in that part of town. For my bevvy I tried the Vanilla Oat Milk Latte which was wonderful. I also got the Buffalo Goddess Wrap with medium dressing. The only thing I wish I did was add avocado which I was planning on doing but slipped my mind when ordering. This wrap was SO fresh and light but also had lots of flavor. I really enjoyed it. Lastly, I had to get a donut. Got the maple walnut - this was the only thing that tasted a liiiitle off. Maybe because it was gluten free? But when you have it with the coffee it makes it better. Prices are pretty normal for LA. The staff was absolutely lovely. Since it was my first time I had a few questions and they were able to help me pick out the perfect meal.“
“It was pi day, so it was BOGO—definitely value for money! We had such an enjoyable evening and were even gifted a dessert because one of our pizzas took a long while to come out. Our server (Jessica, if I heard correctly) was gracious and in good spirits considering how busy it was. Naturally there was plenty to take home, and I can verify that my leftovers were still delicious today! Bonus: a really adorable and beautifully quiet baby at the next table.“
“Stopped by for lunch while I waited for my dog around the color! Ordered a soup, seafood fried rice, street food pad thai, a roti and a coconut flan .. it was all super yummy! Not too much oil, sharable and enough left overs to eat later!Service was friendly, approachable and super attentive. I’m not sure why it was slow but I’d be here once a week if I lived near by!I highly recommend it!“
“The food is 10/10 but the crew is what really makes this place one of my favorite spots to go to. These are some of the kindest most hard working people I’ve met. It’s a great opportunity not only to enjoy incredible food but also support these great humans.“
“Went to a cute little gem in LA for coffee. Didn’t see any parking lots but got lucky and found parking on the street. Inside, there was an area where they sold local artist’s art and gems. There was also a courtyard where you can sit and enjoy their coffee. I got a lavender honey latte and it was good but it was a little too sweet for my taste. (I forgot to take a picture)“
“Spacious restaurant with eclectic, authentic menu of moles, tacos, etc., and an array of mezcals varying from the popular bottles to smaller, family owned distilleries. We tried the fried crickets and a manager brought out cheese as a pairing. So good!“
“Dropped in on a rainy day, was greeted immediately and was sat in a nice booth. We ordered a salad and the special of the day, "A Spicy Meat-a Ball-a". Great ingredient combo and had a nice thin crust...very edible ?. The house salad was fresh and with their unique dressing, it was surprisingly delicious. Will definitely be a repeat customer!“
“I should have taken a picture before I started devouring my food. Got the bowl with brown rice, crispy tofu and pretty much all the toppings. Had the traditional Fish sauce and cilantro ginger sauce. It's delicious. I feel like there aren't a lot of options in this area and this is a great one! Something for everyone. The bowl is huge so I'll probably save the rest for dinner. Highly recommend if you're looking for something tasty and healthy-ish in a hurry!“
“My absolute favorite Mexican spot in all of Los Angeles! Everything here is great from the fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, to simply just their sides of rice and beans, which is my personal favorite. It’s always always my first stop when I come back home, staff here so sweet and lovely. I’m just sad that they closed down their other locations but I hope they will come back soon!“
“It was my first time the guy whom took my order was very nice and patient he allowed me to sample a few meats almost got full lol. I tried the food that’s already ready not bad. Mac and cheese isn’t write home-able lacking flavor but cheesy brisket was okay grilled veggies were good. The fruit parfait ? bomb. I can see myself returning because they have breakfast lunch etc it’s great to have a place in such an area with healthy choices. So I gotta return for more I see the great potential in this eaterythank you Served 2 Enjoy“
“Wax Paper Chinatown brings the same excellent sandwiches that you can get in Frogtown to a different part of LA. I usually go to the Frogtown location if I'm craving one of their sandwiches, but if I'm nearby or want a sandwich only offered on the Chinatown menu, then I order from here. There's some seating in the shared hallway area if you decide to dine in, and I've always found the service to be friendly and efficient. The Garth Trinidad is one of my favorite turkey sandwiches, combining a slightly spicy cabbage slaw with roasted turkey and aioli. Just writing about this sandwich makes me think I'm quite overdue for a Wax Paper order!“
“First time ever in this Balkan type of restaurant. My friend and I arrived around 7PM PST ish...No crowd.Didn't have to wait to enter nor seated.Pretty quickly we got provided a menu,I truly did not appreciate the food like my friend did, but the waitresses were super quick at serving the food, bringing you your drinks, asking if anything else was needed, if the food was OK.Did I answer THAT question?I don't recall, but I don't think so.My friend did. Will I ever go back to this restaurant?Hum.. giving that I live 90 miles away from Culvert City, CA, the chances that I do are very slim.Do I recommend the place?I plead the 5th on this one.But I'll say this though in their defense: the food is not bad.I leave the good part to you all, or you'all.“
“Ok so I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I gave this place a try and it is absolutely delicious! I got the deluxe chicken sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich was flavorful, crispy, and the bread was soft and buttery. The tater tots were really good as well!“
“A quick and healthy lunch option that’s super casual with friendly staff. I stopped by on my lunch break and was walking back to work with my takeout order within ten minutes. There was plenty of outdoor seating available for a Friday around 12:30. The prices can add up if you are the type of person like me who wants to try everything but I was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and overall quality. I will definitely be ordering from here again.Vegetarian options: Clearly labeled vegetarian optionsDietary restrictions: All clearly labeledParking: Hollywood Blvd can be hit or miss with open spaces - meters and free spots exist on side streets but it’s a busy areaWheelchair accessibility: Fully wheelchair accessible but the ordering and pickup window could be lower“
“Hidden gem of a spot next to the gas station. The hand painted sign caught my eye as we were driving past and I'm glad we stopped. Got The Heights sandwich and it did not disappoint. We ordered two sandwiches and they were made up quick, we looked around the bottle shop while we waited. They've got a great selection of waters, soda, wine, beer, and kombucha for such a small footprint. I really liked the card system they had describing the bottles of wine and where they're from. Service was friendly and I want to come back for takeaway pasta and a bottle of wine for dinner some night soon.“
“This is our go-to spot in this part of West LA. Consistently great pizza with really fair prices, especially with their take-out special--$12.99 for a 1-topping large pizza--which simply can't be beat. Their salads are also excellent and HUGE. All of their staff members are always super friendly and kind, and service is super quick! My only (tiny) frustration rests with the dine-in setting, which is somewhat bland. I never eat-in here because it's so small and generally loud with foot traffic and loud television. That said, for take-out especially, this is a must-hit spot!“
“This pizzeria is a slice of heaven! The crust is perfectly crispy, the toppings are fresh and flavorful, and the service is always friendly. Whether dining in or ordering for delivery, I've never been disappointed. Definitely my go-to spot for a delicious pizza fix!“
“The sandwich is just perfect! The Italian sandwich is a must try!I wish it came with a pickle without having to pay an extra $1 for it. The sandwich is pretty pricey to come without any pickles.Black sesame dessert was also good but it would have been so much better if it was warm or fresh. Very hard to cut through.“
