“The vegan Oklahoma smash burger was so delicious, I considered getting a hotel near buy, just so I could have it again the next day! The Lord of the fries were great, and just a little bit spicy. I also had the tahini milk shake (vanilla). It had no business being as tasty as it was. I was skeptical, but it was creamy and smooth. It didn't taste exactly like an ice cream shake, but was close and had it's own delicious flavor. I'll try it with Oreo next time.Vegetarian options: Many (if not most) menu items can be made vegan. Like yummy vegan, not, replace the burger patty with a broccoli medley vegan.“

“Very busy location but the staff keeps up. Amazing service actually. The burgers are bomb.Animal style fries are good. Why 4 stars? The base fries suck and are only saved by making it animal style. Also they fry the fries in sunflower oil and wear that as a badge of pride. Gross. I know it’s a corporate decision but still. These weird vegetable oils are not healthy nor natural...Which might sound weird to complain about when eating at a calorie dump like this, and the irony isn’t lost on me, but don’t *boast* about using unhealthy oils just because they sound nice, you know?“

“I've been following the Chef Lemos' progress with development of this restaurant and after the success of Wax Paper I was really excited to try it. My wife and I stopped in for brunch on Sunday. Outdoor patio has a good deal of seating in the front and a lot in the back, but the front has a view of the river, which you can also hear occasionally when an obnoxious and pretentious woman isn't drowning everything else out (that's not a knock on the restaurant, just the hipster attitude of some people). The food and drink options are solid. I got the breakfast burrito which was excellent and my wife had the eggs 'n' curds which she enjoyed. The star of the meal was her brunch cocktail, the Superbloom which came at the suggestion of our server. My wife mentioned she could have enjoyed a pitcher of it, especially in the outstanding weather we had. Caution to driving in, however, the construction of several apartment buildings is a little potentially rough on your tires so be mindful. I look forward to returning for dinner in the future. Keep it up Pete!“

“I have been ordering to-go from Katsu Bar the last 2 years and the chicken katsu sandwiches never fail me. They are so good and come with waffle fries. My personal recommendations are the apple chili chicken Katsu sandwich and the kamikaze chicken katsu sandwich. They sent me a new years/Christmas present (kimino yuzu tea drink) one time in my Uber Eats order with a note that said thank you, which was so kind and sweet. (Probably because it said this customer ordered over 20 times from your restaurant on the delivery app). All in all, I’m kind of addicted to their food. Haven’t tried most of the other dishes but I think the price is pretty good for what you get compared to other restaurants. Sometimes I place a phone order for pick-up and the employees are nice. Vallet parking but I always tell the vallet guy we are picking up so I never end up paying.“

“Found this place by accident because it was the only convenient parking. The lady was so incredibly nice and welcoming. Food came out super fast, and was very fresh. I was also impressed by the incredibly competitive prices. My meal was about $13 for 5 wings and fries. Many places would charge me closer to $20. Honey garlic wings: 10/10 (slight kick, I don't normally like any spice, however I really didn't mind on these, they were very good) Side note: The sauce was just drizzled on, not covering the whole thing. I thought it was perfect, the chicken was great on its own, and it wasn't drowning in sauce. Sometimes places go overkill on the sauce to compensate for mid chicken, not the case here. I don't know how it can get better than this in LA.“

Their curly fries are blissful, delicately crunchy perfection. I usually get the handcrafted cane sugar cola or diet cola to pair with my burger and fries, both have a soothing, mellow, crisp and refreshing taste. “So, I decided to check out HiHo Cheeseburger on Wilshire, right? You walk in, and bam, it's like being hit in the face with a grass-fed Wagyu beef patty. But in a good way, if there's ever a good way to get smacked by beef. The menu's like a love letter to cholesterol, and I'm ready to propose.First up, the burgers. They're so good, it's like they've got PhDs in deliciousness from Harvard. It's like, "Congratulations, you've just been schooled by a burger." And the cheese, oh man, it melts on the patty like my hopes and dreams on a Monday morning. Now, the fries. They aren't just any fries; they're like the golden sticks of the gods. If the Greek gods had a fast-food joint, these fries would be on Olympus's dollar menu. Dipping them in ketchup is like dipping your toes into the pool of eternal happiness. But who am I kidding? I dove headfirst. And the milkshakes? Let's just say, if my life was as smooth as those shakes, I'd be a lot less funny. Drinking one is like having a creamy, sweet cloud suck you up into a vortex of joy. It's so good, you'll want to write a love song about it, but you can't because you're too busy slurping and fighting the brain freeze of ecstasy. In conclusion, going to HiHo Cheeseburger is like entering a relationship you know is bad for you but it's too good to leave. It's a delicious, greasy, heart-stopping love affair with food. And you know what? I'm ready for round two. Just maybe after a visit to the cardiologist.“

“OKC Smash Burgers is by far one of my top LA spots for some truly good, UNDERRATED Smash Burgers! There's legitimately high quality options for everyone and their burger preferences here - the regular smash burgers are made with 100% American Wagyu beef, but you could also get it with either Australian or Japanese Wagyu beef if you desire. And if you don't eat meat, they had burger options that are seriously nearly identical in taste and quality that are FULLY vegan!Located inside of a ghost kitchen off Washington Blvd, it definitely doesn't get the hype that I think it deserves. I really think it deserves a try the next time you're looking for pick-up or delivery take-out, though! The truffle aioli burger was rich, delectable, without being overly heavy, and was all around perfectly prepared.I also tried the smash burger taco, a really unique creation of there's with the beef smashed into a tortilla. A lighter and enjoyable option as well! The plant-based smash burger I tried was honestly so good and I don't think you'd even notice it being plant-based if you didn't know otherwise. And of course, the good ol' OKC Onion Smash Burger stole the show and was perfectly prepared and had an absolutely delicious sauce to go along with it.I'm not exaggerating when I say this is one of my favorite smash burgers in the entire Los Angeles area.Considering all the other options here as well for plant-based, Australian or Japanese Wagyu, and creative creations such as the taco, and I think this underrated spot deserves a visit from you to try out.I'm nearly certain it'll have you wanting to return!“

“It was a rainy summer day. I look down at my stomach and it’s growling. I think to myself, boy do I need a burger. I got to the place I love most and think what better to get that in-n-out. I go through the drive through, moving along like I’m in fast n furious. The worker hands me an angel in the form of a double double and fries. 5 stars.“

“I wanted to write about this place, but I also didn't want to write about this place because then more people will find this gem, you know what I mean? I walked in one morning in search of coffee. Zero expectations, only saw that they had great Yelp reviews. Got myself a sandwich and a coffee. And oh. my. god. It was divine. Freshly baked bread, delicious taste, great texture and a decent portion size. Just yummy! And the coffee? I got plain black coffee and boy, was it good. Strong enough, but not too bitter. If you drink your coffee without creamers and sweeteners you will know how unusual it is to find high-quality, great tasting coffee for a reasonable price. Came back again for another sandwich and it was incredible again. Definitely coming back for more. Amazing service too. They were very friendly and personable. I mean, this IS a gem of a place and I can guarantee you that once you try it, you'll come back again.“

“Ok so I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I gave this place a try and it is absolutely delicious! I got the deluxe chicken sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich was flavorful, crispy, and the bread was soft and buttery. The tater tots were really good as well!“

“I HAD NOT VISITED THIS LOCATION IN A WHILE. I USED TO BE A REGULAR. I STOPPED COMING BY SINCE THEY GOT RID OF THE CHUNCKY BEEF BURRITO YEARS BACK. I RETURNED YESTERDAY EVENING 10/12/2023 AT AROUND 6PM FOR DINNER. THE LOCATION AT THAT TIME IS NOT BUSY. THERE IS PLENTY OF PARKING. THE FACILITY HAS CAMERAS INSIDE AND OUT FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND. THERE'S A SINGLE-FAMILY RESTROOM AVAILABLE. YOU DO HAVE TO ASK FOR THE KEY. THERE'S COMFORTABLE TABLE SEATING SIMILAR TO BOOTH TYPE. THEY HAVE HIGHCHAIRS FOR BABIES. MY HUSBAND HAD THE BEEF PASTRAMI MEAL THAT INCLUDES THE SANDWHICH, FRIES AND A DRINK FOR $17.99. MY TEEN SON HAD THE PLAIN DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER MEAL WITH FRIES AND A DRINK. FOR $11.99 I HAD THE AVOCADO BACON CHEESEBIRGER WITH FRIES AND A DRINK FOR $12.99. WE TOOK OUR 7TH MONTH OLD BOY WITH US. HE USED A WOOD HIGHCHAIR. WE HAD TO PUT A ONSIE AND A BLANKET ON HIM BECAUSE IT'S CHILLY IN THERE WHICH IS FINE FOR US BUT NOT THE BABY. ANYWAY, THE SERVICE: IF YOU HAVE VISITED THE BURGER PALACE BEFORE, YOU KNOW THAT IT'S THE HOOD. TO ME SERVICE WAS GREAT, THE WORKERS ARE EFFICIENT, LOUD, FAST AND FRIENDLY. THEY CAN BE FUNNY AND THROW JOKES DURING THE INTERACTION BUT I CAN SEE WHY SOME PEOPLE WOULD GET OFFENDED. THE RESTAURANT IS CLEAN: OFCOURSE THERE'S VANDALISM BUT THE FLOOR AND TABLES ARE CLEAN AND RESTROOM IS EQUIPPED WITH EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF BUSINESS. THE CUSTOMERS/CLIENTELE IS SOMETHING ELSE THOUGH!! WITNESSES THREE CASES OF DIFFICULT CUSTOMERS WHILE EATING THERE. THEY PUT ON A SHOW! CUSTOMERS SCREAM OUT "CUT IT IN HALF" "ADD MORE CHEESE" ... HOW DO THEY EVEN KNOW THAT'S THEIR FOOD??? LOL! ALSO, MULTIPLE SKETCHY PEOPLE ENTERING THE FACILITY TRYING TO TRADE ITEMS SUCH AS SHOES, WALLETS, FLASHLIGHTS FOR FOOD. I WAS ON THE LOOKOUT BECAUSE I THOUGHT THAT SOMEONE MIGHT SNATCH MY PHONE. THE FOOD: PRICEY BUT WORTH THE PRICE! HONESTLY! I HAVE NEVER PAID $17.99 FOR A BEEF PASTRAMI SANDWHICH MEAL. THE SANDWHICH WAS BIG AND PACKED WITH MEAT. MY HUSBAND ONLY ATE 1/2 AND SAVED THE OTHER HALF FOR WORK LUNCH. THE BURGERS WERE SO DELICIOUS, BIG, JUICY AND FULL OF FLAVOR. THE FRIES WERE SO CRISPY AND THE FOUNTAIN DRINKS HAD CO2 AND GREAT FLAVOR. WE LEFT FAT, FULL, HAPPY AND WILL DEFINETLY RETURN. DO CHECK YOUR BURGER BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RESTAURANTIF YOU ORDERED IT A SPECIAL WAY. MY SON'S CHEESEBURGER WAS NOT PLAIN BUT IT WAS NO BIG DEAL, THEY TOOK CARE OF US. ALSO, COUNT YOUR CHANGE. A GUY PAYED WITH $100 AND RECEIVED THE WRONG CHANGE.“

“I love montys. They have great meals and meal boxes and shakes. I finally got their burger and personally I'd highly recommend their chicken instead because I feel like I've had better vegan burgers but they gave me a very generous portion of fries. Service is nice and there is decent seating. Parking is street parking.“

“The reviews are legit! Blue Bird serves up super fresh, tasty, juicy burgers from an unassuming location. Yes, it's inside an alcohol and convenience store. There's a counter serve grill in the back where they cook up the burgers. The owner Tony was very friendly and pleasant to talk with. I felt he was genuinely interested in connecting with me as a person. That was an awesome surprise! Thanks for making good burgers and an affordable price. I paid $10 for the burger. Note: The burgers are very juicy, so keep that in mind while eating and transporting it. I wouldn't wait too long to eat it after it's prepared. Enjoy!“

“Came here on a weekend, parking is a bit tricky but we were able to manage, park and walk over to the restaurant. Has the old school vibe to the restaurant. I ordered the Patty Melt (Cassell's Classic) which had 7 oz. house ground beef patty, Swiss cheese, grilled onions, served on toasted rye. Side of mustardy-mayo and pickles. My friends ordered the normal sandwich. Overall nice burger but a bit pricey.“

“I've been going to Ronnie's a couple times a month for the last few years. My go to was always the pancake special or French toast special. I'd recommend either of those anytime! Lately I've been getting the chiliquiles. I absolutely love them. I went yesterday and was told there's a new menu (photos included with new prices) and the chiliquiles now come with green sauce. Red sauce is not an option. I was so disappointed because I really wanted them and I do not like green sauce. Most places use the red sauce or at least give you the option of red or green. Very disappointed that's not the case here. Now I'll have to go somewhere else to get this dish“
