“Not from LA, just visiting from up north. I first tried Eggslut in London when I briefly lived there. Decided to give it a go again back home in California. Amazing food! Cannot stress that enough. I do love an egg sandwich though, so that helps. I usually get the bacon, egg, and cheese which is of course a breakfast classic and Eggslut does it justice. The brioche bun they use is mighty fine. I tried the Fairfax also this time around and was not disappointed! Damn, so good. Them caramelized onions and chives really add some moreish character to the sandwich. I’m not huge on mayo, but I believe it’s sriracha mayo which I liked. Not too spicy. Cashier/person who took my order treated me kinda poorly, but it was 8 or so AM on a Monday, so maybe they just weren’t feeling it. I dunno, not really the point. Bottom line is the food is way worth trying. So shuffle on down to downtown from wherever you are in LA county, or Southern California for that matter. This location is within an area that contains multiple food joints, so if Eggslut doesn’t sound appealing there’s plenty of other food to choose from. “Oh my goodness we went here for the first time today and I'm so happy we did! I love this place! The owners, Mother and Son were so sweet and very friendly! All the staff and patrons were very nice. It felt cozy and the owners made us feel like family. We can't wait to go back! Oh and the food and shortbread were delicious! “There is reason why this place rating is so high! Food is excellent, the signature French toast is a must, even my friend who doesn’t eat sugary food likes it! And the service is just amazing, they have the best employees! I left my bag( which hundreds of cash and everything in it) and only remembered it after 3 hrs! But I retrieved my bag from the lady serviced is her name is Maddison, after they already closed for an hr! I can’t tell you how touched I was by the way she went out of her way to help me (a stranger) solve problems! That’s definitely the place you would want to visit again again and again!“
“Came here on a weekend after a cruise. Got the breakfast burrito and it was great. The distribution of the ingredients inside the burrito was even and there was a decent amount of bacon inside. I wish their salsa was more spicy though since I think that would have made a good addition to the burrito. I didn't get guac so can't say if it would have made a good addition but I think that the burrito without it was great.“

“This has become my favorite restaurant. If they were open for dinner too, I'd be here way more. Everything is gluten-free. There are no shady oils used. Their veggies and fruits are from local farmers markets. Their pancakes are off the chain. Their sourdough is delightful. Their cookies are heavenly. Their bowls are comforting and satiating and delicious. It's woman-owned. They make food with integrity here. Simple and with love. I wish all other restaurants would take pointers from Honey Hi. “It was my first time the guy whom took my order was very nice and patient he allowed me to sample a few meats almost got full lol. I tried the food that’s already ready not bad. Mac and cheese isn’t write home-able lacking flavor but cheesy brisket was okay grilled veggies were good. The fruit parfait ? bomb. “While staying in LA the other night we decided to eat here based on a local recommendation. The pancakes are beyond HUGE and the French Toast (original) was very tasty. Also the coffee was served in a French Press at the table and was fresh. We also ordered eggs and sausage as a side. The restaurant didn't have many when we walked in at 8:30 on a Thursday, but quickly filled up by 9. The atmosphere is cool, hip diner style and music was a bit loud but good, definitely woke us up in a good way! Service was friendly and it was great to find this place.“

I believe the tiny cafe is an independent family-owned shop. Staff are friendly and helpful. You'll find quality tasty breakfast items and beverages here, with most stuff priced less -- or not much more -- than a $10-er. Burritos and quesadillas are especially popular. Orange juice is fresh squeezed, and their famous juice called the Vampiro, red from beets, is a delectable blend of some of my favourite fruits and vegetables. You can ask for it with a dash of spicy refreshing ginger blended in. It might be a little challenging to pinpoint locate, since Courtyard is not readily visible from Sepulveda. It's in the rear courtyard of a building. I think it's well worth seeking out for reasonably priced, satisfying breakfast fare near the airport 'hood.“

I opted for 3 eggs over easy, hash browns, toast, sausage and a cup of coffee. The hash browns stole the show but everything on the plate was solid. The management and staff have always been extremely kind, friendly, and have delivered excellent service. If Yoli is there ask for her, she’s wonderful and super sweet. “Attention L.A. Court Jurors! If you're looking for a good spot to eat close to the DTLA court houses, check out the Galero Grill in the Cathedral complex. A five minute walk from the court houses with good food at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a lovely patio with tables to enjoy your meal in peace (other than the Cathedral chimes on the hour). It's run by the Patina group so, although the food isn't fancy, the quality is very good.“
