“One of the BEST restaurants in LA. Nothing I seen in LA can compare to this place. Everything here is thoughtful, starting with the tables and ending with how the food is placed. All dishes is beyond delicious with fast impeccable sevice. The waiters are very professional, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is like in a garden and the decorations are aesthetically pleasing: the plants, tables, chairs, glasses and plates. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to everyone. (I do suggest to get a reservation before hand because the wait without a reservation is long.)“

“There are several excellent and unique boutique coffee stops on this strip and this one is especially representative of Hollywood today. Includes a bakery and kitchen with excellent offerings. My personal fave--plenty of tables and plugs for the laptop. If you want to linger, grab a hearty meal (breakfast and more, see menu) and write the next novel or blockbuster while supporting a coffee habit, this ticks all the boxes. Knowledgeable and approachable staff, and dog friendly as a bonus.“

“Love it here! My favorite breakfast place in LA. The cooks and wait staff are dialed in here. I love getting the pancake combos, which is 2 pancakes instead of 3, and comes with a breakfast platter. I always get eggs over easy, hash browns and bacon lightly cooked. Then, for pancakes my favorites are Brook's Blues (blueberries), Tire Biter (Oreo's), or Ruby Belle (a few thin slices of caramelized apple and pecans). The last one in particular is a good one to ask for extra toppings on for a few dollars more. One random tip for the pancakes: they're served on plate that's barely big enough for them, so cut out a eat a slice to make room for your syrup, and make a pool there to dip the rest on rather than pouring it on top.“

“Call ahead! The wait at the sandwich section can - at times - be a bit slow & tedious and can cost you half your lunch hour. Plus I don't love the fact that their default channel is "Fix News". Still, the salad bar is fabulous. Also, Maggie and Ruby absolutely rock! :-)“

“San Pedro Café, led by owner Jhon Marovich, is a true standout in San Pedro and one of the top dining spots in the area. The restaurant offers excellent value for families—our group of eight enjoyed a full meal for around $80, making it both affordable and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with beautiful décor and framed photos of famous personalities that give the café a unique character and charm.
Jhon personally took the time to explain the dishes and their nutritional value, making the experience feel personal and genuine. The service was exceptional from start to finish, especially from our server, Arlet, who was incredibly attentive, always smiling, professional, and quick to make sure every table need was taken care of. Her positive energy and hospitality truly elevated the dining experience.
The café also features an open bar, a kid-friendly menu, vegetarian options, and a solid selection of wines and spirits. Parking is convenient, the area feels safe with regular police patrols nearby, and the restrooms were spotless and well maintained. Overall, San Pedro Café delivers outstanding hospitality, comfort, and value, making it a highly recommended place for families, friends, or anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience in San Pedro.
the server Arlet was so attentive, also, and the have big smile. the whole team was welcome .“

“One of my favorite spots for vegan breakfast. The atmosphere, staff, and food are all absolutely next level. I always bring my parents here when they visit, and even though they aren’t vegan and I am, they still rave about their meals every time.“

“Our Elite Tabletop Family cannot say enough great things about Cafe 50’s! From the way we were GREETED, TREATED, & SERVED, to the way they’ve continued to treat our daughter like FAMILY since she’s arrived in Santa Monica. They’ve been nothing less than spectacular and are the epitome of what a True, neighborhood nostalgic 50’s diner encompasses. No other establishment has ever provided fun toys & items of entertainment while waiting for our food. We thank Benjamin for that! Victor the GM checked on our table and made sure Kim our waitress was taking care of us! Kim was a fantastic server and we never once waited for a refill on anything. The staff @ Cafe 50’s take pride in their customer service & establishment and they deserve all the recognition! You have our family’s support for life Cafe 50’s! We would ❤️ to support you, supporting the local community!“

“I work very close by and would say this is one of the better lunch options in the area for me. Everything is always consistently ready very fast and it’s always tasty. There is a small free parking lot right out front, otherwise free street parking is also easy to find. Inside is large enough to dine in, but I always get it to go. They do have a pretty large menu with a lot of great options on it and I love that they have smoothies and drinks as well as food items.
I have tried a few different things here, but this past order I got the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and added avocado and honestly really liked it. The ciabatta bread was crispy and the the chicken was perfectly spicy and I just really enjoyed it. The dressing on the side salad was also terrific. I would recommend if you are in the area.“

“Look, it's a small traditional LA Latino breakfast spot with really great food at great prices. Highly recommend it, especially if you're not looking for something trendy that has good food. Service was great. No frills - Just good all around.“

“I Googled good affordable breakfast sandwich near me and found this great little Mom & Pop place. In a sea of overpriced & underwhelming food, it's nice to see good food for a good price. I got a simple, but yummy breakfast sandwich, and spent under $8.00. Busy & friendly place. It's located in the courtyard of an office building, where you enter from the alley. Will be back on my next airport run!“

“When u go to IHOP you know what u will get, but the service was excellent. I forgot the name
of our waitress, which took care about us like we know each other since year. It was the perfect level of small talk and let the customer eat on their own. Thank you to the lady of Jalisco“

“The atmosphere is classic: a bit of noise, a bit of anticipation, and the feeling that someone at the next table has been eating breakfast here for twenty years. The service is undramatic—they're not rushed, but they're also attentive, as befits a place where coffee is poured with philosophical calm.
This isn't a restaurant for gastronomic discoveries, but a reliable stop when you want a simple, straightforward breakfast and the feeling that the world is still in its right place. Will you come back? Most likely. Especially if you're craving pancakes again at any time of day.“

“I go here because my kid likes it and it is *much* better than Denny's (e.g., seasonal fruit tastes better). I love the poblano chili omelette and bottomless coffee. About $20 per person plus tip. There is free valet but I usually find street parking easily.“

“This is what a good old fashioned American breakfast should be. You can indeed mess up the eggs and overcook the bacon which I’ve experienced many times however this place cooked my order to perfection, my potatoes actually had some flavor!“

“So I wanted to wait till I was sure about what my tongue was saying. This is the fourth time I have gotten food from Egg Tuck. Got to say that I am unbelievably surprised that it is this good!
My go-to breakfast burrito went away when the Starbucks in the same center closed. About a week later I forgetting that it was closed, I stopped and got out of my car. That's when my brain kicked in and realized Starbucks was closed. I was hungry so I decided to give Egg Tuck a go. The first bite into that breakfast burrito was mind-blowing. I only wanted to eat half but I ended up eating the whole thing. At that moment I wanted to write the review, but I held myself back. No way it could be that good... Right? I decided to do a few more visits before I did my review. I changed my order a little bit each time. Then I decided to do the big test, I added smoked ham (not a big fan of smoked ham and breakfast burritos). I finished the burrito, ham and all.
This is why I'm writing this review. Do yourself a favor and try this place out. Your taste buds will Thank You“

“I’ve ordered Saby’s many times on Uber Eats and it’s by far my favorite place for breakfast burritos. I have many food sensitivities and it’s easy to adjust the menu items as needed. The El Nopal green juice is my favorite, always delicious and refreshing. You can tell the juices are freshly juiced. The person who wrote the bad review should actually try this place and update their review instead of trying to hurt small businesses.“

“Whoever started only filling the aioli sauce halfway, your mom’s a… you know.
If I’m paying 50 cents for a cup of this sauce, I expect it to be filled. So instead of having one, I now have to get two just to completely eat my burrito. Y’all know what you’re doing. Stop being greedy and give me my gd aioli sauce.
Edit: they have fixed the issue. Thank you so much for filling the aioli sauces properly 🖤🙏“

“If you're looking for a good spot to eat close to the DTLA court houses, check out the Galero Grill in the Cathedral complex. A five minute walk from the court houses with good food at reasonable prices. Plus, there's a lovely patio with tables to enjoy your meal in peace (other than the Cathedral chimes on the hour). It's run by the Patina group so, although the food isn't fancy, the quality is very good.“

“Food is still great 9 years after opening this location. But atmosphere has gone down hill & needs refresh!
But the service has really gotten bad! There is no Wait staff, you either place your dine in order on your smart phone or go to the register and place the order there. Ordering online has some serious issues, such as trying to indicate minor changes that you want. The food is then brought out by runners who rarely or never come back to check on your meal or if you need anything. So paying when you order is convenient for them, but I gave my usual generous tip and in the end the service did not warrant it.
Prices are actually quite reasonable for the quality and quantity of the food. But when two people order a pot of coffee, it would be nice if they brought the milk in something larger than a thimble!“

“biscuits “sent from heaven” Keyshia Cole voice Stopped by John O’Groats for some pre archery lesson fuel. Off rip, I knew it was gonna be bomb because my boyfriend actually has great taste and recommended it. I mean why would I date him otherwise? But I still had to be the one to taste it to believe it. Those biscuits put them on the MAP! I had lost faith in biscuits & gravy in this city. I have been let down time and time again because it was so weak. But these gave me hope for the future 🥹 I could see this place being my breakfast new normal. So if you ever want to stop by there, hit me up beforehand and we can brunch together🫶🏼🍽️ this is the type of place I would have FOMO over“
