“Went there twice during our 2 day trip. Biscuits are amazing. Maxie was our server, and she remembered us when we returned! She was very sweet, and the owner came out and chatted with us about the history of the restaurant.“

“We dropped in to this little cafe after landing at LAX. It was surprisingly good!! The employees were also super nice & accommodated my onion allergy. I had tacos that were amazing. My kids shared their fries with me and they were the good, thick battered style of fries. So good.I also got a big iced coffee to go. Total one stop shop. And it was very very clean. 10/10!!! Might come back for breakfast if we have time.“

​The food here is spectacular. I highly recommend the crab cake—it was perfectly seasoned, beautifully seared, and packed with high-quality crab meat. Accompanying the meal was a side of special fresh fruit that was incredibly vibrant, perfectly ripe, and clearly hand-selected, which is such a refreshing change from the standard melon-heavy fruit cups you get elsewhere.

​Beyond the amazing menu, the excellent service truly stood out. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and highly efficient, keeping everything moving smoothly even during the busy morning rush. The excellent location makes it an incredibly convenient stop for travelers and locals alike.

“Perfect little breakfast & lunch spot in a part of DTLA that's a bit lacking in both. The staff breakfast burrito is a mainstay, the menu is expansive beyond that but not overstretched. Cute patio to chill in and they have a reservable room for private events. Service is friendly and everything comes to you freshly made. Don't worry about parking, free validation available in the on-site garage.“

“This is a great spot for breakfast. They open at 9 a.m., so if you go early on a weekend, you get a leisurely start to your day, before the Farmers Market/Grove area gets too crowded.

The food is always great. Highly recommend the french toast (super moist and nicely custardy in the middle), hotcakes, and corned beef hash. The eggs are super tasty too. Everything’s never too greasy or dry. Prices are reasonable, by L.A. standards. And the service is consistently friendly. It’s open seating in the farmers market area; you order at their counter and pick up your food when your name is called.

Just be aware that if you park in The Grove garage, you have two hours free with validation at the Monsieur Marcel french market at the other end of the Farmers Market. One minute over and you pay a whopping $20 for parking, or more if you linger!“

Every visit, the food has been excellent — fresh, generous, properly cooked, beautifully presented. The staff have been warm and welcoming every single time, and they've started recognising us, which is always a lovely feeling. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed without being too quiet. Prices are sensible for the quality on offer. We've already sent several friends here and all of them have come back saying thanks. Genuine local treasure. Long may it last.“
