“It’s Friday May 8th around 1 pm and I just had the best burger with the best service. I don’t write a lot of reviews but being greeted extremely nicely right when you open the door and having them thank you when you leave, warranted this. Super friendly and they do a great job keeping everything clean, and they’re super efficient. The Habit is the SPOT!“

“When I want to go to McDonalds, this is my favorite one. I have a nearby place to go which is located in the USC campus in Los Angeles. But I like this place because it is a quiet place, nice atmosphere and a great customer service. Clean and safe area.“

“We had a 9PM, Sunday reservation at Sora Craft Kitchen, and when we first pulled up, we genuinely thought we were at the wrong place. The surrounding area is very dark and industrial at night, there were barely any cars around, and from the outside you would never expect what’s waiting for you inside.

The second we walked in, it was a completely different atmosphere. It was quiet and super ambient. One thing that immediately surprised me was that it didn’t smell like at all. We were greeted by the chef himself, and seeing him prepare everything right in front of us made the experience even more special. He was essentially running the kitchen himself, yet every dish came out surprisingly fast, fresh, and beautifully prepared.

We started with the Dry-Aged Tenderloin Shish Kebab, and that alone immediately set the tone for dinner. The beef was incredibly flavorful and tender.

Then the chef brought out the Mastabe and PLEASE!! If you come here, ORDER THIS. It ended up becoming the staple of our entire dinner. It’s this creamy house-made yogurt, we literally started adding it to EVERYTHING. The garlicky, creamy freshness somehow complemented every meat and every dish without overpowering anything.

Next came the Siverek Tava, and this one completely blew me away. The combination of ground beef, tomato, and roasted eggplant was incredible. My boyfriend HATES eggplant. Like, refuses to order anything with eggplant level of hate. Even he was shocked at how good it was and how perfectly the eggplant worked with the beef. Huge props to the chef because changing someone's mind about an ingredient they swear they hate says a lot.

The Grilled Branzino came next and was a perfect change of pace. Simple, fresh, perfectly grilled, and topped with vegetables. After all the richer flavors, the fish felt light and refreshing while still having plenty of flavor.

Then we had the Icli Kofte, which might have been one of the biggest surprises of the night. I wasn't expecting such an explosion of flavor from this dish.

Our last savory dish was the Garlic-Spiced Kebab. At this point I was so full and genuinely thought there was no way I was going to finish another dish... and then I kept eating it. It was smoky, garlicky, juicy, and so flavorful that I literally couldn't stop.

And somehow we still made room for dessert.

We finished with the Cheese Halva with Yuzu–Black Sesame Ice Cream, and it was the PERFECT ending. The warm cheese halva practically melted in our mouths. While the ice cream had this refreshing flavor that reminded us of mint and pistachio. The pistachio pieces underneath added the perfect crunch and texture to balance everything out.

What impressed me most about Sora wasn't just one specific dish. It was how thoughtfully everything paired together. Every dish tasted completely different. Nothing felt generic or like something you could order at any other restaurant. You can genuinely taste the freshness and the amount of thought the chef puts into the flavors, textures, and pairings.

Don't let the location fool you. Once you walk through those doors, it's this little hidden gem where the food completely speaks for itself.

Mastabe is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Order it and put it on everything.

“Reasonably priced burgers in downtown LA! We had the boss burger and the vegan burger, both delicious--and don't forget the crispy, well seasoned fries :) Will definitely be returning. Just be warned that there is only outdoor seating, just a couple of tables that people share and leave after eating, so plan accordingly.“

“This was my second time here and it definitely did not disappoint. The first time I came with my brother, and today I visited again with my whole family who are here in LA visiting from Germany. Everyone loved it.

The burgers are amazing: juicy, fresh, and incredibly flavorful. For me, definitely one of the best burgers in Los Angeles.

Also, a big thank you to the wonderful service, super friendly and attentive. My little niece got some gummies too!

Highly recommend, I will definitely be back!

Owners Josh and Sam are well on their way to become the next rising stars of the LA restaurant scene. Offering three different smash burgers (Cali, Aji, Crispy Shroom), with a variety of other options such as Caesar salad and wraps, not to mention they serve breakfast too! Try all three. Go for the loaded fries. I only wish they had one in Atlanta.“

“This is my favorite breakfast/brunch spot I’ve had in years. My go-to is the egg burrito with rice and beans, plus a fish ceviche. Their fish and shrimp ceviches are sooo good. I love the balance of all the flavors. Hands down one of my favorite places. 🥰“

“I've been to many burger spots in my life, but I've never had a burger as good as the Chef Burger from Burger Bun. I'm talking perfectly seasoned beef, and delicious (but not overpowering) burger sauce, crisp vegetables, and the brioche bun is spectacular. There's no burger in Glendale that even comes close. The wings are also some of the best I've ever had and the homemade sauces are so, so tasty. The fries are perfect, and they have amazing milkshakes too. To top it all off, the service is ridiculously good, and the prices are fair. This is my go-to spot in town.“

“Came in hoping for brunch after a hardcore hiking and learned that breakfast wraps up at 11:45am — worth knowing. No regrets though, because I got the smash burger combo instead and it was excellent. Everything tasted freshly made, the drink came free, and the service was genuinely lovely. Only one thing bothers me was the heat… I’ll be back, and next time I’ll turn up before 11:45am.“

“Came here with my friend, who is an Altadena resident, and they told me this place is well-known among the locals. I couldn't believe how extensive the menu was. Besides burgers, they offer cheesesteaks, Chinese food, Mexican food, and even Thai curry! I was amazed.

The restaurant is Asian-owned, which gave me confidence in trying something from their Chinese food menu. However, I ended up sticking with a traditional burger combo, even though I was really tempted to try the Thai curry. I saw someone order it, but they only had the vegan version available because they had run out of chicken. I'll save the Thai curry for my next visit when the chicken version is available.

The burger was freshly made and came with avocado. It was high quality and very delicious. The fries were decent as well.

I also want to mention that the restroom was exceptionally clean. You can often tell a lot about a restaurant's hygiene standards by the condition of its restroom. Just note that the restroom entrance is located outside rather than inside the restaurant.

“Delicious. The only place I've ever seen a pastrami breakfast burrito on the menu! Portions were huge, the staff were friendly, and although we took our food to go, the booths and bathroom were as clean as a whistle. There's a drive through! But also there seemed to be plenty of free parking in the back and sides of the building.“

“Tiny place. They really pack in the tables inside, & everybody's fighting to get one to enjoy the AC instead of baking in the sun. Just enough tables to sit a couple people inside. 4 orders ahead of me once they opened, so everybody was waiting to get here. Took about 9 minutes to get my order in. Took roughly 15 minutes from the first person who ordered to get their's after I had ordered. Another 2 minutes for the people before me to get theirs. Another minute for mine. It was starting to crowd up so I went upstairs to eat at the metal tables they have hanging from the rails.“

“The family and I decided to stop by and grab Mediterranean food and my husband brought me by his spot he has been going to for 1 yeah or+ years. Upon entering you get greeted by the sweetest owner and staff. The menu is quite extensive and has variety of things from kabob plates to wraps; then burgers and vegetarian options. I ended up getting the lamb and beef kabob plate with hummus and rice. I also got a side of falafel and some fries to share with the family. The hubby got the beef kabob plate and we shared with the girls. Portions were quite filling and more then enough for our family , hummus was so good. Everything is fresh and house made to the sauces that come with it. The garlic being some of my favorite. This family owned place serves really good food and made sure the family was fed and happy. Definitely recommend and absolutely coming back.“

“Breakfast tacos are a great option. Despite their seemingly small size, they are packed with flavor. Make sure to ask for hot sauce if you like an extra spicy kick. Tacos have a nice heat by themselves and are really flavorful. Highly recommended for breakfast. Sold in 2 or 4 option.“

“Plenty of good IPAs, draft, and domestic beers. The Backyard Burger was wonderful, definitely coming back just for that. Having Delirium Tremens in their beer stock was amazing, hadn't seen many bars with this many good options in a while. A good place for a quiet and private date, but with good walking distance to Echo Park and local bars and venues.“

“I think they have changed the chili preparation over the years. It maybe my imagination but it tasted a little different from the first time i had a burger in 1971. It couldn't possibly be my elderly tast buds.
