50 Best Burger Restaurants near Altadena

“Came here with my friend, who is an Altadena resident, and they told me this place is well-known among the locals. I couldn't believe how extensive the menu was. Besides burgers, they offer cheesesteaks, Chinese food, Mexican food, and even Thai curry! I was amazed.

The restaurant is Asian-owned, which gave me confidence in trying something from their Chinese food menu. However, I ended up sticking with a traditional burger combo, even though I was really tempted to try the Thai curry. I saw someone order it, but they only had the vegan version available because they had run out of chicken. I'll save the Thai curry for my next visit when the chicken version is available.

The burger was freshly made and came with avocado. It was high quality and very delicious. The fries were decent as well.

I also want to mention that the restroom was exceptionally clean. You can often tell a lot about a restaurant's hygiene standards by the condition of its restroom. Just note that the restroom entrance is located outside rather than inside the restaurant.

“I've been to many burger spots in my life, but I've never had a burger as good as the Chef Burger from Burger Bun. I'm talking perfectly seasoned beef, and delicious (but not overpowering) burger sauce, crisp vegetables, and the brioche bun is spectacular. There's no burger in Glendale that even comes close. The wings are also some of the best I've ever had and the homemade sauces are so, so tasty. The fries are perfect, and they have amazing milkshakes too. To top it all off, the service is ridiculously good, and the prices are fair. This is my go-to spot in town.“

Get the DH if you’ve never been, it’s one of the most unique burgers I’ve ever tried. The smash burgers are also good as well.

Having Delirium Tremens in their beer stock was amazing, hadn't seen many bars with this many good options in a while. “Breakfast tacos are a great option. Despite their seemingly small size, they are packed with flavor. Make sure to ask for hot sauce if you like an extra spicy kick. Tacos have a nice heat by themselves and are really flavorful. Highly recommended for breakfast. Sold in 2 or 4 option.“

“Came in hoping for brunch after a hardcore hiking and learned that breakfast wraps up at 11:45am — worth knowing. No regrets though, because I got the smash burger combo instead and it was excellent. Everything tasted freshly made, the drink came free, and the service was genuinely lovely. Only one thing bothers me was the heat… I’ll be back, and next time I’ll turn up before 11:45am.“

“My wife, daughter and I had a very nice dinner at Lingua Franca on Friday evening. I love the outdoor setting next to the LA River, in LA's Frogtown neighborhood, which is a very interesting and under-rated part of LA. The service was very friendly, food was really excellent, and I'm happy I chose the place for our Friday evening family dinner. With the music they play and the Frogtown location, it is a bit of a hipster place, but we felt very comfortable and welcomed there and we are definitely planning on returning.“

“I ordered 2 beef gyros for my coworker and I. Good deal 2 for $21 or 1 for $12. The price is not beneficial for the flavor though. Beef was the only protein they had. The flavor was typical. The wrap was too focused on the tzatziki sauce and not complimentary. Would have hope the flavors were balanced as in juicer meat, sliced tomatoes and or cucumber. Could use a bit more pepper. Wish the French-fries were a bit more fresh; they were bland,dry, and cold. The service was excellent. Good location.“

“The family and I decided to stop by and grab Mediterranean food and my husband brought me by his spot he has been going to for 1 yeah or+ years. Upon entering you get greeted by the sweetest owner and staff. The menu is quite extensive and has variety of things from kabob plates to wraps; then burgers and vegetarian options. I ended up getting the lamb and beef kabob plate with hummus and rice. I also got a side of falafel and some fries to share with the family. The hubby got the beef kabob plate and we shared with the girls. Portions were quite filling and more then enough for our family , hummus was so good. Everything is fresh and house made to the sauces that come with it. The garlic being some of my favorite. This family owned place serves really good food and made sure the family was fed and happy. Definitely recommend and absolutely coming back.“

This place was exceptionally good. If you’re craving a burger, highly recommend this place. If you want a fantastic smash patty and crispy fresh fries, GO HERE. The burger was juicy, crispy on the edges (proper Maillard Reaction), good cheese, POTATO BUN (bonus points), and add whatever topping you like. The fries are fresh, oil was clean, and they were the perfect crisp. I actually don’t even know how they got them like that. I can’t do that at home…but that’s beside the point. I wish this was near me but I live in OC. If I am ever in this area, I will 10000000% be making a stop here to eat, even if I’m not hungry.“
