50 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Altadena

“Came here with my friend, who is an Altadena resident, and they told me this place is well-known among the locals. I couldn't believe how extensive the menu was. Besides burgers, they offer cheesesteaks, Chinese food, Mexican food, and even Thai curry! I was amazed.

The restaurant is Asian-owned, which gave me confidence in trying something from their Chinese food menu. However, I ended up sticking with a traditional burger combo, even though I was really tempted to try the Thai curry. I saw someone order it, but they only had the vegan version available because they had run out of chicken. I'll save the Thai curry for my next visit when the chicken version is available.

The burger was freshly made and came with avocado. It was high quality and very delicious. The fries were decent as well.

I also want to mention that the restroom was exceptionally clean. You can often tell a lot about a restaurant's hygiene standards by the condition of its restroom. Just note that the restroom entrance is located outside rather than inside the restaurant.

“My family and I visited this cookie shop for the first time last weekend and we are all SO GLAD we did! We are cookie lovers, and avid hobby bakers, ourselves so we have high standards when it comes to cookies. We tried 6 different kinds of cookies and every one of them was absolutely delicious! The shop vibes are awesome, every person working was so kind and positive. I am so thankful to have this great place in my town to hang out and get great treats at. 10/10 recommend and we will be back again!“

“It's a bit small, but the food is amazing. The kitchen seems well staffed, so theyre able to serve you in a timely manner even when it's absolutely packed.

Quesa-Birrias are really good and they came with a chile asado, perfect.
Torta Chingona is solid for someone who likes a lot of flavors/ textures

Salsa Roja is good but the Salsa Verde was way better.

The parking is pretty rough, but its worth the walk.“

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. “Easy 5 stars. Genuinely some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh, and I loved that the dishes weren’t overloaded with sauces or unnecessary toppings, the quality of the fish really spoke for itself.

The salmon was buttery and melted in your mouth, the eel was warm, rich and perfectly glazed, and even the cucumber salad was ridiculously good. And if you go, definitely try the fatty tuna, highly recommend it!

This is one of those places that makes it hard to enjoy average sushi afterward. 😂 Already looking forward to going back.“

“This is authentic down to the sexy owner Francesco with the beautiful accent. He made the heck out of my cappuccino with a hint of house made vanilla and cinnamon. He deftly stirred and measured all the while answering my questions just so I could hear him speak.
I also got the fritatta with zucchini and other delicious veggies. O.g! Do, savory and fluffy. They have so many items on the menu from pastas to decadent desserts and they even have imported Italian sparkling water and still. If you wanna feel transported to a country and romanticize what your taste buds are experiencing, this is the place for you. There is some seating outside and you can people watch but the star of all of this is incredible food just the way his beloved Grandmother made.“

“After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“This place is so good I went twice in the same week! Every piece was so perfect and it was the perfect amount of food. Of all the places I've been for omakase in LA I'd say this is the best bang for your buck especially if you go for lunch during the weekdays. You won't be disappointed. It's located in Weller Court and many folks go to sushi gen and other spots but this place is so fresh and the service is wonderful. Also very quiet inside.“

The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Came on a Wednesday and there was about a 20 minute wait, which felt reasonable given how busy they were. Service was quick, and our food came out almost immediately after ordering.

We ordered the tuna sandwich and the roast beef au jus, and both were delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh, the bread was excellent, and the flavors were well balanced. Overall, a good quick lunch.“

“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!“

“Oh my goodness! This place was such a beautiful find. I absolutely loved all the options they had for gluten-free and dairy free. I got the lemon cake and two of the sprinkle cookies to bring home to me and my family. The bread options are amazing for gluten-free as well. I ended up getting their chorizo and egg for breakfast. Absolutely amazing food. On the side I got tater tots, they were crunchy and very tasty. Not greasy, which is hard to do when you fry something. We sat in the back where the wine area is because it was really hot that day so the ambience in that little area was very quirky and eclectic. It’s a very comforting delicious place to go visit if you’re hankering for some gluten-free, dairy free pastries. Did I mention the entire place is vegan!“

“I enjoy coming here when my partner and I can't agree one something. I wish the seating was more comfortable and the less cramped together but there usually is somewhere to sit. The cleaning staff is always quick to clear tables and manage trash and dishes. Even at its busiest there is usually plenty of parking.“
