“THE BEST Teriyaki Bowl in the LA area! I always order the beef, chicken, and veggie bowl because it's the best. Lots of meat and veggies. Ratio of approximately 30% rice, 20% veggies, and 50% meat. Lots of cabbage, which I like. The teriyaki sauce is not too sweet, which I like. However, they are a little light on the teriyaki sauce. Just ask for extra teriyaki sauce. Made to order, which I like. I LIKE! :)“

“This has got to be my absolute favorite place to come to in La Crescenta for a bite to eat. Everything on their menu is so delicious. My absolute favorite are there burgers. The meat always taste so fresh along with the produce. Not to mention they have the best fried. The customer service is always on point. You can tell they hsve pride in ownership here. If you’re looking for a nice place to have brunch or lunch this is definitely the place. Thank you for always an amazing experience here.“

“The food is good here, with a range of flavors and options for different donuts and types of hotdogs. The drinks are amazing, though! Seating is pretty limited as well as the parking, but the product is worth it! I would definitely recommend trying Mochinut if you haven't before.“

We had a great experience at Sushi Monster in Montrose. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and well taken care of.

The rolls were the standout — beautifully presented, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Each roll tasted fresh and well-balanced, without being overpowered by sauces. The nigiri and sashimi were equally impressive, clearly made with quality fish and attention to detail.

What really elevated the meal, though, was the attentive and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable, checked in at the right moments, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling rushed or pushy. It made the entire experience feel genuinely enjoyable.

If you’re looking for a reliable local sushi spot with excellent rolls and great service, Sushi Monster is absolutely worth a visit. We’ll definitely be back. 🍣“

The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

We waited a long time to be greeted and get water once sat, even though the restaurant was only partially full - so much so the server did apologize once they did show up. But then we proceeded to wait a long time again to place our order, and then had to flag down our server after waiting a long time to get another glass of wine mid-meal. Overall, it was a fine experience, but was really shocking to be charged a credit card fee on the bill. I can't imagine folks are paying cash often at this price point, and I've never ever been passed a 3% credit card fee at a nice, sit-down restaurant.“

“The food here is phenomenal, especially compared to other Peruvian restaurants like pollo Inca. While it may not be the same, it’s definitely better in flavor. Everything is never bland, and the flavoring is exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough; you have to try it!

I wish I had pictures, but I was in a rush. They do have complimentary sauces and bread. The portions are generous, and the agua fresca is made in-house.

Street parking only, closer to restaurant metered 1 hour parking but a bit further, free parking but good luck finding a spot, there is paid parking lot close by“

It seems to be a unicorn eatery: the atmosphere / decor so tasteful and upscale, the location central hustle and bustle, the food bursting with flavor - yet prices were completely reasonable and the place felt calming and quaint. Special shoutout to the server tonight who represented a perfect mix of attentiveness and giving us a personal space.

“This is THE neighborhood coffee shop. Been coming here for years. The baristas are always friendly and the delicious coffee is flowing. You’ve got some really unique and tasty flavors too, like the Ube Latte! Great place to work and meet up with friends.“

“The bread is great, I have bought a few loafs there (top tip come at the end of the day and you get ten percent off bakery items) the food is good I had the roast beef sandwich, it was good but I didn’t quite like the soft bun that they used, and I asked if I could choose the bread next time, unfortunately they said that there were no substitutions on bread which is a bummer.
