“I was in Burbank for work recently and I randomly chanced upon this place looking for a little spot to grab a glass of wine and a snack. I’m here to tell you, man, no cap (as the kids say) do not sleep on this place. It’s fantastic. Mouthwatering wine selection, a magical player piano, cocktails for days, delicious nibbles, extremely welcoming bartenders with great stories (I'm looking at you, Jeff!). I feel confident going as far as saying that every time you’re in Burbank and you choose not to stop in for a drink at Wax Poetic...God kills a kitten! Don't be a kitten-killer, go today!! 👀🫣🍷“

“Bacari Glendale: It is a beautiful place we have always wanted to go to. We took two friends for a belated birthday dinner (and as the staff realized it was just that, they even rewarded us with a delicious birthday dessert :-). The oysters are ultra‑fresh and perfectly chilled, the ideal briny start to the meal. The steak is cooked spot‑on with a rich peppercorn sauce and crispy fries, making every bite feel like a true Parisian bistro experience. “Delicious from start to finish. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Burrata, Meatballs, Pork Belly, and tiramisu, and everything was excellent—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The meatballs were especially memorable, and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. Add a little burrata to a bite of the meatballs for a perfect bite.
The wine selection complemented the food beautifully. They were also very accommodating when we needed to adjust our reservation time, which we appreciated.
Service struck the right balance—attentive without being overbearing. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the experience even better.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and will definitely be back.“

“We've been attending a handful of concerts at Hollywood Bowl this year. We loved Fattoush Salad (different recipe from how our family makes Fattoush Salad) but was delicious! The Lamb Chops were OK, but Spanish Fried Chicken was just fried, you can't taste or see any chicken meat inside. I have a feeling all vegie dishes here might be delicious, but not the ones with any meat. Service and atmosphere were amazing! We will go back to try different dishes, but for sure to have the Fattoush Salad.“

“Stumbled on this place while I was sucked into the reel vortex in the middle of the night on my 11-year Veganversary. The next day, we drove 40+ miles into LA and had the most amazing vegan meal, from appetizers to dessert. They have a full traditional menu as well as a full vegan menu. Welcoming and energetic vibe. Outstanding fun and friendly service (ask for Aria!) Food was highest quality and INSANELY delicious. Even parking is easy in the lot next door. Can’t wait to go back. “I first tried Pizzana when I was taken out for my 21st birthday a couple months ago. After realizing I couldn’t eat much anymore, a lot of alternatives made me nervous. But Pizzana’s vegan, gluten-free pizza was something I genuinely couldn’t stop thinking about.
Yesterday, I decided to order it online. I messed up my order and tried to fix it through Uber Eats, but the wrong one had already been sent out. Shortly after, Pizzana called me back and took care of everything with me. They were patient, kind, and incredibly compassionate.
When I showed up, my pizza was ready. The entire staff was overwhelmingly kind. The manager even apologized and thanked me for choosing Pizzana.
I’m being completely honest when I say I came home and cried. It’s rare to feel that cared for as a customer, especially when food can be such an emotional and stressful thing. The kindness, understanding, and quality of the food meant more to me than they probably realize. I’ll never forget this experience.

This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. They made sure his was free from salt and onions, and ours were made the way we want. The staff is fantastic and the drinks are well curated. The fried pickles and jalapenos are great too!“

“We absolutely adore this neighborhood wine shop. Haley is super knowledgeable about wine and always makes fantastic recommendations. She sources a lot of wine from smaller vineyards so there's always something unique. Her overall curation of the shop is fantastic, and she works so hard to create a fantastic community space as well. The shop often hosts events and game nights for the local community, and when there aren't events going on, it's still a great place to buy a bottle, grab a glass, and catch up with friends (or on work). As an added bonus, there are usually 2-3 cute dogs hanging out in the space :)“

Edward and Rachelle hosted a wonderful evening of fine wines and very tasty treats. I use the word hosted because they make it feel like you are in their home... very gracious and attentive. The patio was decorated with lights, nicely dressed tables, a wine bar, sound system and more. I booked it for 2 hours, but they didn't hold us to a clock... If you appreciate good wine and like fine charcuterie and crostini.. In Vino is a top choice! Highly recommend!“

“How did this quirky gem evade my notice for five years?! I guess because they're only open Friday and Saturday. This may be the best restaurant in Pasadena. Inventive creole-inspired food. The flavors in the sauce (basil, olive oil and something else yummy) that surrounded the burrata were absolutely delicious! The lamb/beef/pork bolognese sauce on the spaghetti as well as the duck was excellent. Portions are definitely generous and shareable. Our only regret is we didn’t save room for dessert! Despite being there during the Rose Bowl with lots of people, the service was excellent! So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant via Resy, we’ve saved it in case we come to Pasadena again!!
