Always a pleasure to eat here! Best ribs I've had.... Ever? And the Dan Dan noodles are amazing

How did this quirky gem evade my notice for five years?! I guess because they're only open Friday and Saturday. This may be the best restaurant in Pasadena. Inventive creole-inspired food. Everyone raved. Only thing I would change is to have it a little quieter. But our four-top could still converse well.

Our group took up a few tables, and the wait staff was excellent at keeping track of our individual orders. The food was surprising: so many Southern dishes, done exceedingly well. The basic shrimp and grits, for example, was so tasty. The chef-owner came to our table and explained the meaning of the name of the restaurant's name (no, it's not a riff on the Alan Parson's Project, but it is related to a song).
