About La Cave

La Cave is a charming vegan wine bar and bakery located in Pasadena, offering a warm and elegant atmosphere with a modern yet cozy vibe. The staff are friendly, attentive, and create a welcoming environment that makes every visit special. The wine selection is excellent, and the drinks, especially the mocktails crafted by Alfredo, are visually stunning and delicious. The restaurant features a thoughtfully curated menu of plant-based bites, including a fantastic cheese board that impresses even non-vegan cheese lovers. The bakery side offers a variety of delicious vegan French pastries, such as eclairs, croissants, and fruit and custard tarts, which are gluten-free and highly recommended. The broccoli soup, mushroom danish, and leek quiche are praised for their superb flavors and quality. The quiche, in particular, is described as silky smooth with a perfect crust, resembling a slice of Paris. Many reviews highlight the surprise of finding fully vegan and mostly gluten-free options, making La Cave a perfect spot for those with dietary restrictions. Its convenient location in Old Town Pasadena, combined with good parking and walkable surroundings, makes it an ideal place to enjoy wine, pastries, or both, time and time again.

I absolutely love this wine bar. Their wine selection is amazing and their cheese platter will absolutely make you rethink vegan cheese in the best way possible. I’m not able to go there as often as I would like when I’m in the area because they do close a little early, but if you can make it there earlier in the day, it is absolutely worth it.
Amazing wine, small bites, and customer service! Such a great vibe here.
