“Small hole on the wall. We were driving by and needed a quick bite to eat. Bathrooms are located outside and a key is needed. They were clean too. The restaurant is pretty small but you can see the kitchen from the front. Service was quick and attentive. Prices were a bit high but what isn't nowadays. I got the chile rellenos and they were very good. The salsas served had good flavor and the taquitos plate was my favorite! So good. We all left happy and full.“

“THE BEST Teriyaki Bowl in the LA area! I always order the beef, chicken, and veggie bowl because it's the best. Lots of meat and veggies. Ratio of approximately 30% rice, 20% veggies, and 50% meat. Lots of cabbage, which I like. The teriyaki sauce is not too sweet, which I like. However, they are a little light on the teriyaki sauce. Just ask for extra teriyaki sauce. Made to order, which I like. I LIKE! :)“

We had a great experience at Sushi Monster in Montrose. From start to finish, everything felt relaxed, welcoming, and well taken care of.

The rolls were the standout — beautifully presented, generous portions, and packed with flavor. Each roll tasted fresh and well-balanced, without being overpowered by sauces. The nigiri and sashimi were equally impressive, clearly made with quality fish and attention to detail.

What really elevated the meal, though, was the attentive and friendly service. Our server was knowledgeable, checked in at the right moments, and made thoughtful recommendations without ever feeling rushed or pushy. It made the entire experience feel genuinely enjoyable.

“This has got to be my absolute favorite place to come to in La Crescenta for a bite to eat. Everything on their menu is so delicious. My absolute favorite are there burgers. The meat always taste so fresh along with the produce. Not to mention they have the best fried. The customer service is always on point. You can tell they hsve pride in ownership here. If you’re looking for a nice place to have brunch or lunch this is definitely the place. Thank you for always an amazing experience here.“

The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. “Yama Sushi Market Place has many locations in LA, tried all different locations, love them all. I usually do not give five stars for rating, but for this one, they deserve the 5 star. The fish is extremely fresh with reasonable price. It will cost three or four times more if you order the exact same varieties of fish from restaurants . They also have a very good variety of sake to select from. The Otoro, the fatty tuna melts in your mouth. Hamachi was extremely fresh. Salmon was exceptional. California roll was so yummy with soft rice. Definitely recommend.“

“The food here is phenomenal, especially compared to other Peruvian restaurants like pollo Inca. While it may not be the same, it’s definitely better in flavor. Everything is never bland, and the flavoring is exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough; you have to try it!

“This has become our unofficial go-to spot for celebratory meals, and the food has been excellent every time. My wife always orders the lule, while I get the chicken breast, both are consistently tender and juicy. Be sure to try the eggplant caviar and caesar wrap, too. A special shoutout to Armen, one of the coolest people around, who takes the time to get to know you while preparing hundreds of orders during the day. He even discussed known allergies with us (only sesame) so our daughter can enjoy their food on our next visit. We’ll definitely be back soon so he can prepare a plate for our daughter.“

“This place has great Sichuan food! It has so many varieties of food to try and are all very good! We got the chongqing cold noodles that were very flavorful and numby! The favorite was the mapotofu that had very soft silky tofu with minced pork and a sauce you can smother rice with. We also got the local flavor lamb that had tons of veggies along with the soft tender lamb meat. The sweet and sour pork was crispy and delicious and the sliced potatoes with vinegar was very refreshing and had a nice soft crunch to it.

The staff were very nice and attentive and the place is very very popular and busy. The atmosphere is just like any mom n pop Chinese restaurant.

I've been here in the past and have enjoyed other dishes like the twice cooked pork, various dumplings, wonton in chili oil, dan dan noodles, cumin lamb/mutton & sliced beef & ox offal! The portions are always huge and sharable and great value!“
