“As far as vegan/vegetarian food, this is fairly elevated fare. The food is well-presented and the staff quite nice. The space is modern and sleek with an open kitchen. We were seated in a far corner, so it was difficult to get the staff's attention at times. The acoustics are noisy and also, the open kitchen created heat and smoke, so the atmosphere felt a bit close at times. Still a bit of a hidden gem here.“

“Overall the food was AMAZING! ? This was my first time ever trying Indian cuisine and my god it was so tasty! They don’t skimp on the portions at all! I paid around $37 and they gave me enough food to feed a family of 3! lol ? Honesty I recommend this place. If I knew this hidden jem existed before I would’ve reviewed this place earlier lol“
“Best Thai food I've ever had. Their burgers are great, too. Best service ever! I highly recommend the Angry Chicken, Pad Kee Mao, and Beyond Burger.Update: This place just keeps getting better. They did such an amazing job helping cater a Harry Potter Party. Thanks so much!!!“
“This is an INCREDIBLE place! I love the beef noodles, eggplants, tofu, the fish, the chicken, the desert, etc!! We had a blast eating, hanging out, chatting, and the food added so many enjoyable layers to our conversations on Oscars, filmmaking, art, and beyond! THANK YOU ALL for making our afternoon and evening and giving us energy to keep going and pursuing our dreams???☀️?Kid-friendliness: Very friendly!;)“
“Amazing Mexican food. The home made tortillas were so good and the Mexican brown rice was such an awesome brown rice prep. Great service, nice people. We missed a couple items on our takeout order and the restaurant promptly refunded us. Really appreciated the help with that one.“
“I love this place. I've been going since I was a little kid (that was 20+ years ago). The staff and service is always so friendly and attentive. I love their Bún Chả Giò Chay. It's my regular order! They have a solid selection of Vegan Vietnamese food and very affordable prices. If you're looking for real Vietnamese Vegan food, this is the spot!“
“Excellent vegan food. I got the vegan pho, which was HUGE. Normally vegan pho comes with more vegetable in it and this one comes with only spinach, so I decided to order a side of steamed broccoli. But when the soup came, I was shocked at how big the portion was. To be honest I was starving and even then I could have not ordered the broccoli and been fine. There was plenty of spinach in the phon and it was packed full of flavor. The waitress was very friendly and the place was clean. Parking was ok, I ended up parking on the residential street to the left of the restaurant because the lot seemed too packed directly in front of the restaurant.Vegetarian options: EverythingDietary restrictions: Vegan, gluten-free“

“I loved this place! They forgot to put tofu in the spring rolls but no matter, they were delicious. The soup broth was a little bland. I added some soy sauce which helped. The topping of fresh mint, bean sprouts, etc. made this meal refreshing. Updated from previous review on 2023-10-24“
“Every time that I try a new Thai restaurant, I ask for a Pad Thai. The rationale is that if that staple of Thai cuisine is not well prepared, there is little else to look for in that place. Interestingly, the menu showed the dish prominently, calling it their signature dish. And, boy, they delivered! The flavor was so well balanced, and the noodles were rightly cooked, and with the right moisture, not the mess of sticky overcooked noodles you get some times. The accompanying Chinese eggplant was well prepared, too. 10/10.The same goes for the "fish" dish my wife had. Finally, the mango with sticky rice was sublime. The service was excellent. The seating is ok though.Vegetarian options: This is a vegan place“
“The ambiance of this establishment is truly unique in the Los Angeles area. The tropical atmosphere is aesthetically pleasing and the cocktails are expertly crafted. Regrettably, the menu options are rather limited as several items are no longer offered so feels more like bar food than a full dinner menu. Nevertheless, the exceptional service provided by the staff is commendable. I highly recommend this venue for pre-dinner drinks with colleagues or for a casual evening out.“
“Decent food for the price. We got the chicken bowl, one with rice and hummus the other with lettuce and cucumber yogurt. Both were tasty and kept us full until dinner. The hummus was good and was not too strong with any one flavor. The chicken was seasoned well and moist. The yogurt was not too bitter and the cucumber gives a nice crunch. This is a great place to get a grab and go lunch.“
“Oh my God, you guys! It's like Aziz Ansari once said, 'Treat yo' self!' And that's exactly what I do at 818 - the late-night savior of my hunger pangs! Picture this: it's 10 PM in Glendale, and everything else is snoozing, but not 818, oh no! They're like the Batman of restaurants, always there when you need them. Their chicken? It's like a high-five in your mouth! Crispy, juicy, and totally kosher – it's like they're frying up happiness. And the staff? Superheroes in aprons, I tell you! They guide you through the menu like a tasty treasure map, helping you discover culinary gold. Hungry for a pressed chicken sandwich with a twist? They've got you covered. Craving their signature chicken sandwich with that crunchy coleslaw and tangy pickles? Boom, your taste buds are in for a party! This place isn't just a restaurant, it's my culinary soulmate. Always open, always awesome. So, go on, treat yo' self and check them out!“
“I love the food at Pocha and decided to try their catering menu for Easter lunch. Because I have a tendency to order too much food, I stopped by the restaurant to place my order and asked for help. Claire helped me and she was a lovely lady to work with. I told her what I wanted to order, what else I was having at home, and she recommended the sizes I should order. She totally nailed it with the amount of food. We had the build your own carne asada and chicken mole tacos, cilantro and garlic rice, refried beans and plantains. It was the first time for my family to try mole tacos and it was a big hit! Everything was delicious. The food was packaged nicely, ready at time of pick up, and the temperature was perfect. Thank you Pocha Team and Claire for a perfect Easter meal.“
“the staff is so kind, and try to save you money by giving you the lunch combo if the dish you order is available in that form.we have enjoyed the bean curd sheets with mustard greens, eggplant, general tso's chicken (mushrooms), sizzling tofu, soft tofu with crispy beans, and ended with the sesame balls. what a delightful meal.“
“I absolutely love this place! Got the "asada" veggie quesadilla, and it was AWESOME! I love their strawberry lemonade, and the cauliflower nuggets too! If you are into plant based foods, this is a perfect spot! The food gets eaten so fast, I never have a chance to take a picture.“
“I’ve been working in the area (which is very far from my home in LA) and a friend suggested Kitchen Mouse. There’s a huge variety of choices, so I asked Beatrix if she could help me out with keywords “something healthy and filling.”She suggested the Gomasio Brown Rice Cakes which was a bowl that was out of this world. Flavor explosion, kept me full, and was healthy with shishito peppers, mustard greens, and crispy oyster mushrooms with a cilantro and ginger chutney sauce.I’d come back for that dish, and with Beatrix’s amazing service and care. She even checked a binder in case I was allergic to any of the nuts in the dish. Her service was refreshing and so was the food! Come try this place!“
“OMG a Hidden Gem in the middle of nowhere.Such humble people, healthy and delicious food , and best part is the price. Under $20 all you can eat including drinks.Sorry no Sodas.I am so glad they ask us to take our dirty plates to the washing area.A little ease for the employees.Cheers to the entire staff. Will DEFINITELY return.“
“This Indian vegetarian restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with authentic flavours. The menu is diverse, lot of chat options and one of the best samosa chat i have had in a long time. Highly recommended for anyone craving for delicious vegetarian Indian cuisine.“
“Simply my favorite place in Los Angeles to eat. Loved it when it was vegetarian and it’s even more amazing now that they offer a fish and lamb. Everyone here is very kind and accommodating and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. They truly put love into their food and ambience.“
“I really only come for the hot food deli. They give you a lot of food for a great price. It's all vegetarian and always tastes great. It's one of my usual spots. It's part of a market, but I've unfortunately never checked the market out.“
“Amazing delicious food!! Great atmosphere and authentic Indian decor! We ordered Sev Puri, Onion Pakoda, Saag Paneer, Navratna Korma, Punjabi chhole with bhature, Garlic butter naan and rice; rasmalai for dessert. Loved all the curries, appetizers and naan was so soft yet firm! Thank you for your excellent service!!“

“Great food, service was slow compared to how crowded it was.Vegetarian options: The entire menu is vegetarian, it's called plant based bistroDietary restrictions: Clearly marked where items are soy free, nut free, or gluten free. Some items like pizza have gluten free crust options but are not as clearly marked.“
“Come for the huge beers stay for the greasy food. They’ve got half priced pizzas for happy hour. That cannot be beat. Go see a movie at the regal next-door and then head over and stuff your pie hole with a pizza pie! This place has great bar food and nachos, which is pretty much all I eat these days. Wings and sandwiches galore. It’s a fun place with tendency to spike your BP and Glucose levels for hours to come and put you in a nice nap like state for hours. Bye bye. Goodnight. Sweet dreams. I highly recommend it!“
“A solid place for some decent salad. I don't necessarily think they are healthy with all the dressing and whatnot, but it tastes good and seems fresh. I have been to other places to customize your own salad, and MIXT is not much different, to be honest. The banner saying 'LA's Best Salad' is what made me want to try this place. There are numerous options to choose from that are all pre-set with healthy greens, nuts, and indeed proteins for some, but you can always make your own salad with whatever you like. I got a seasonal salad, Spicy Brussels, and it was pretty good. Little pieces of avocado were great, as they made it more creamy, and the texture of crunchy pumpkin seeds was surely pleasing.I had some pieces of veggies that were not supposed to be in mine, but I assume they just fell in while being prepared at the same time as other salads.I was really full after finishing the entire salad, and it did not leave me too heavy, which is always a plus. You can also adjust the amount of salad dressing, and I always go light since I do not fancy salad drenched in dressing. You can also get a piece of bread (as pictured) at no extra cost if you ask. All by each, it was good, and I would go back again. Having their own lot with parking was really great, especially in this area.“
“QQ Kitchen is my go-to for vegetarian Taiwanese food in the area, as there are a lot of veggie options that are delicious! Food is reasonably priced with their rice entrees being around $12. I've tried their vegetarian popcorn chicken and red chop rice. Both orders come with a side of cabbage, tofu, vegetarian minced pork (mushrooms), and a tea egg. The woman who takes orders/cooks is great. I walked in to place an order and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Note that this place is to-go and cash only!“
“Utterly charmed by this place. After eating an incredible, smoky bowl of split pea - which John (the owner) made on the spot on his gas stove behind the register - for $3.75, I bought some grocery staples and a few treats. While shopping, I marveled at the hand-packed "leftovers" stored in the wood-paneled refrigerator, on sale for a modest $1.75/portion instead of being thrown out. A business as personal and homey as Oh Happy Day is a marvel these days. I feel gratitude and respect for John and the space he's fostered. Will be back many times.“
