“This is a destination restaurant, right in the heart of South Pasadena. The food is amazing, it's beautiful inside and outside (they have outdoor seating in the back as well), and the staff is nice.
Try the shrimp
Try the carrots
Try the bbq chicken
Try the fish
Legit try it all.“

“Alex was so knowledgeable about wines and very nice. He was patient with us. We were celebrating a my best friends birthday and he made it extra special. I took his recommendations to order the cesar salad and the lasagna and that did not disappoint. Belle was our server at the bistro and she was so much fun and nice. She gave exceptional service and was very attentive to our needs. Definitely coming back for the same things. It made for a very fun Thursday afternoon!“

“Friendly neighborhood spot with well-imagined and thoughtfully prepared food. Passed by on the way to my intended dining spot and stayed. Pricey for sure but very cool vibe, happy and willing servers, cosy evening lighting. Glad I stayed.“

“A very stylish bar tucked away in downtown LA near Grand Central Market feels like an NYC bar. I had a great chat with the owners—they hand-select everything they serve, from small-batch wines to charcuterie sourced from both local and international makers. It’s a perfect spot for a date or catching up with an old friend. Everyone was super friendly, and the doorman adds a nice touch of safety and comfort.“

“Bacari Glendale: It is a beautiful place we have always wanted to go to. We took two friends for a belated birthday dinner (and as the staff realized it was just that, they even rewarded us with a delicious birthday dessert :-). Great service, nice ambiance, and delicious food - we had the bread (could have been a bit more for the $4,50), then shared the Mac & Cheese topped up with the pear and brie pizza that was the best.“

“Entre Nous French Bistro has been a longtime favorite, I’ve been coming here since they opened. The escargot is incredibly tender, drenched in garlicky herb butter you want to soak up with bread. The oysters are ultra‑fresh and perfectly chilled, the ideal briny start to the meal. The steak is cooked spot‑on with a rich peppercorn sauce and crispy fries, making every bite feel like a true Parisian bistro experience. Matthew our waiter was amazing thank you for your amazing service.“

“Delicious from start to finish. We ordered the Caesar Salad, Burrata, Meatballs, Pork Belly, and tiramisu, and everything was excellent—well-prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The meatballs were especially memorable, and the tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal. Add a little burrata to a bite of the meatballs for a perfect bite.
The wine selection complemented the food beautifully. They were also very accommodating when we needed to adjust our reservation time, which we appreciated.
Service struck the right balance—attentive without being overbearing. Claudia was friendly, knowledgeable, and helped make the experience even better.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and will definitely be back.“

“What a find!. I mean it was my birthday so we searched for something that tickled my requirements in the area we were staying. Such a warm and welcoming reception. The thing is I messaged a week ago on Insta and they held my spot. When we arrived we were treated like royalty .Food and wine was amazingly accompanied with great hospitality. We arrived at 1930 left at 2330.
This is an amazing place. X“

“Sawa is easily a top-10 restaurant in my opinion. The chef deserves a star. The entire experience went beyond my expectations, truly outstanding. I had so much fun dining there; the environment is friendly, and every bite was delicious. The host was spectacular, especially for suggesting we split the sake pairing, for someone who doesn’t drink much, it was more than enough. I’m already looking forward to coming back.“

“Backbone delivered an outstanding dining experience. Loved the soju cocktail and Barbajuan appetizer to start, the perfectly roasted duck breast as the main, and the brown butter cake topped with passion fruit gel for dessert. Top notch service all around, capped off by a warm conversation with one of the owners / chef. Highly recommend!“

“My friends and I came to Airliner for a Galentine's Day. We sat in the lovely back patio and enjoyed the drinks. Thank you to Santi for the amazing service and drink suggestions. He was the best! Recommend this place for a nice dinner out or drinks with friends. One thing that I would like to see addressed is making sure all of the heat lamps work in the patio. We stayed in the outdoor patio through the evening and it got really cold (well, chilly for LA). Wish there was an operating heat lamp near us.“

“Few places in Los Angeles have friendly
top notch service and great food. This place has both. The staff is incredibly great from front of house to back of house. I’ve been twice and both times have been top tier. The pasta is some of the best the city has to offer. This is my new favorite Italian joint. Great wine, pasta and an impeccable staff. I love Spina!“

“Fun and welcoming atmosphere inside. Music and conversation levels were perfect. Outside area was nice as well. Only complain is the wines by the glass were fairly common and not spectacular. Expected something a little elevated from a wine bar.“

“Had to stop by my favorite Italian grubbin in the heart of Old Town Pasadena all the way from Boise. This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.“

“Truly phenomenal. The chicken entree and winter salad were unreal. We couldn’t stop gushing over it. We had the pleasure of live music on the back patio and the ambiance was perfect. Wait staff was incredibly kind, efficient, and present. Its one of those spots you’ll want to keep coming back to 💗“

“How did this quirky gem evade my notice for five years?! I guess because they're only open Friday and Saturday. This may be the best restaurant in Pasadena. Inventive creole-inspired food. Everyone raved. Only thing I would change is to have it a little quieter. But our four-top could still converse well.“

“I recently visited Gong Gan and had such a great experience. The café is super cute with aesthetic decor — definitely a spot that feels both cozy and Instagram-worthy.
We tried a variety of drinks, desserts, and food, and everything looked as good as it tasted.
One of my favorites was the meringue affogato — crispy meringue topped with gelato and espresso poured over. It was delicious and really fun to eat. The black sesame latte was rich, creamy, and nutty, while the matcha yuzu tonic was refreshing with a light citrus twist. I also loved the strawberry matcha — fruity and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The corn cream coffee was surprisingly unique — sweet, creamy, and slightly savory.
For desserts, the Injermi croffle is a must-try — crispy outside, soft inside, with soybean cream and roasted soy powder. The strawberry French toast was also amazing, loaded with toppings and very indulgent. The egg tart was simple but satisfying.
For savory options, the GG burger was juicy and flavorful with bulgogi sauce on a croissant bun, and the mushroom cream baguette sandwich was creamy, cheesy, and comforting.
Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for creative drinks, good desserts, and a cozy café vibe. Would definitely come back!“

“We love the ambience at gra. And I’m so happy to see more restaurants coming into the many vacant storefronts in this neighborhood. Gra has an incredible vibe. Wonderful service and unbelievably great music. We do wish for two things though. We love traditional full-bodied reds by the glass. They are hard to come by. We also love fresh vegetables, and as much as we love the fermented veggies we’d love to mix it up with more variety. Looking forward to becoming loyal, patrons and exploring this restaurant more.“

“Great beers and wine, great food, even better staff. Truly a great spot. I went on my dog's birthday to get him a burger and the staff was so helpful. They made sure his was free from salt and onions, and ours were made the way we want. The staff is fantastic and the drinks are well curated. The fried pickles and jalapenos are great too!“

“Nice Izakaya right around the corner of Little Tokyo. Staff is friendly and vibes are chill. Drinks and food are delicious. My friend tried some of their sake and really enjoyed the taste as well as the presentation. We started with the Signature Tofu Sampler which is all three of their original housemade tofu, served side by side in a beautiful three bowl tray. The first was their classic tofu in a traditional style that is served with a house miso paste and you could toss on some roasted green tea salt to your own tastes. I think this might have been my favorite because it was so effortlessly simple and tasty. Their creamy tofu is extra soft tofu made from fresh cream and soymilk, with a dashi cream broth. They asked us to eat this one as is and not to add any additional salt or sauces. Lastly, was the black sesame tofu which is a creative take on the original tofu infused with black sesame. They suggested adding in some wasabi and soy sauce that really enhanced the flavoring. If you are a fan of tofu, I highly recommend trying this sampler. The Omelette Noodles with Simmered Wagyu Beef is just ok. Loved the omelette and wagyu beef. The noodles were fine but I think the dish was overpowered by the seasoning. Not my favorite but that is probably just based on my personal taste preferences. The Grilled Salmon Chazuke was fantastic. It is a rice porridge dish mixed with dashi and topped with a beautiful piece of grilled salmon. We also tried a couple pieces of nigiri and I loved the Chu-Toro ones. Definitley not a bad choice if you are looking for casual but yummy dining in this area.
Now for my standard comments. The location is clean and well kept. Comfortable indoor seating. There is also a decently sized outdoor seating area as well.“

“In Vino & Spirits was a fortunate discovery after a friend's recommendation. I booked the patio for a birthday party and had a great experience! Edward and Rachelle hosted a wonderful evening of fine wines and very tasty treats. I use the word hosted because they make it feel like you are in their home... very gracious and attentive. The patio was decorated with lights, nicely dressed tables, a wine bar, sound system and more. I booked it for 2 hours, but they didn't hold us to a clock... If you appreciate good wine and like fine charcuterie and crostini.. In Vino is a top choice! Highly recommend!“
“This place is narrow but an absolute gem of a place for live fairly intimate music performances. The sound system is great, the service even better, and the crowd very fun. It's also incredibly convenient to get to via train from Union Station so you really kinda have zero excuse if you get a DUI.
Not sure how the table situation works but I'm assuming you have to get there early to score one or at the bar. Otherwise it's standing room only with a few loose stools toward the rear atrium section.
The only true but minor inconvenience is the having to swipe/pay for every drink purchase. I get the why but the service and drink options make up for it.“

“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot. The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good, and the cappuccino was solid as well.“

“What a hidden gem! This small quaint restaurant delivered some of the best food we had while visiting Pasadena. The flavors in the sauce (basil, olive oil and something else yummy) that surrounded the burrata were absolutely delicious! The lamb/beef/pork bolognese sauce on the spaghetti as well as the duck was excellent. Portions are definitely generous and shareable. Our only regret is we didn’t save room for dessert! Despite being there during the Rose Bowl with lots of people, the service was excellent! So glad we stumbled upon this restaurant via Resy, we’ve saved it in case we come to Pasadena again!! Bravo!!!“

“Best pub in the Altadena area. It is a family run business, and really, a more traditional "public house." Not too many places like this around! Guiness and other European ales on tap. Nice selection of wines too. Say hi to Judah, Gail & family and help support Altadena!“
