“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“It’s 6:40 on a Saturday night and I’m alone in this taco shop. I can’t understand that. Maybe it’s a K-town secret.
The food has excellent flavor. I ordered the carne asada bowl. The crunchies in top are special. It’s delicious, but the steak is a little chewy. It’s a lot of food for a reasonable price. The red salsa is super tasty, but use caution with the yellow salsa. She’ll make you cry.
I’ll probably come back tomorrow and order the chicken.
The employers are sweet. The shop is clean.“

“Bombest burrito in LA. He brings professional hospitality to the street taco game. First time I stopped by after a long early morning shift at a coffee cart and I was greeted as I walked up. He walked me through their offerings. I wanted to try their al pastor but was too hungry for a couple tacos so I ordered it as a burrito and man, amazingly tasty. He has a flat top grill and grills the burritos *chef's kiss. I'm all for street tacos of all kinds in LA but I'd venture to say this is the cleanest operation I've been to. He takes cash but also venmo or Zelle and has all that easily accessible. Ordered a carne asada burrito this evening and it's truly ministering to me“

“Delicious and fast tacos. The restaurant knows what they are doing. The lines moved so fast and I got me food within 5 minutes. They have complementary potatoes which is awesome since they help with the spicy of the spicy salsas. They also have a self serve salsa and topping bar which is my favorite so I can generously garnish and drench my tacos in salsas. We realized this was a really popular spot in this area because it was already 12 am and this place was still really packed. Really delicious and authentic tacos, will definitely come back again.“

“I had suuuuch high hopes for this place. Don't get me wrong, the tacos were very tasty, just soooo greasy!! My asada taco grease got all over. I mean, it didn't stop me from eating most of my food 😬🤣.... but the grease floating on my plate was a lil bit of a disappointment. 😩 Hubby's tacos were REALLY GOOD, no grease so maybe it was a bad asada night. I'LL BE BACK though.... to giver her another try.“

“Came here not expecting much. Thought it would be just a regular taco place. I don't usually say , these are delicious tacos! But, hey these are really delicious tacos. We ordered flautas , they were perfectly fried, the crunch was crunching! The lettuce , guacamole, and queso fresco was fresh. The tacos de asada and lengua were flavorful and well seasoned. The agua de horchata tasted original not from a mix. Their flan and chocoflan was authentic and the cafe de olla was chef's kiss! My family and I will definitely be coming back! “The food was delicious, large portions, and very affordable. We bought a burrito, 2 tacos, a quesadilla plate, and a bottled water all for under $40 🤯 not to mention one taco will fill you up, it was the size of a small burrito. The other cool thing about this place is its like a food court, there's any type of food you can think of including dessert and drinks. We passed up the place and there's a $10 parking lot right on the other side of the lot. We will definitely be back!“

“Solid consistent taco truck. Al pastor is my usual go to, they have it on a fire spit. All the toppings area serve yourself so you can dress it up how you like it. They are also very efficient and nice people! Avocado salsa and the orange spicier salsa are both killer.“

“amazing food with an amazing chef. I came here before the hype and met the chef and he told me a little about the mission before they blew up and now it’s so cool to see him get his roses from all of his hard work.

the food is quality! the ribeye melts in your mouth, the pork belly is beautifully done and I love the suadero. make sure you get one of the agua frescas as well, the watermelon and jamaica are my favorite. i’ve had almost everything on the menu now and there isn’t a wrong choice. listen to your stomach you won’t be let down!“

“This place was phenomenal. The staff and owner were so friendly and engaging. The food was top tier. I had the street tacos and Avocado rolls. The tacos were portioned really well and the shredded beef was flavorful. The Avocado rolls tasted so fresh and the roll was light and fluffy. I could eat the roll without any fillingb, thats how good it was. The sauce that came with it was good as well. The fresh juice was a winner as well. The customer service, price, portion size, and freshness of the ingredients makes this place 5 star. I will definitely visit again and recommend this place as 10 out of 10.“

“This has to be the best burrito I’ve had in SoCal. It’s a great concept to give the customer the open burrito to put in toppings of my choice and amount, then give it back for the employees to perfectly wrap up.

I got the asada and tripa burrito as well as an al pastor and pineapple mulita. All of it was cooked perfectly and with large portion sizes and great prices.

I will happily make the hour trip just to stop here again. This place should get an award.“

“I drive by this spot all the time and finally stopped to give it a try. I got the Al Pastor burrito and was sooo happy with my choice. You see them cooking it right in front of you, all fresh. “You can never go wrong bringing a friend from out of town here at Upper West, joining family members to celebrate or just coming over to have a really tasty and good quality healthy meal! The owners greet guests, servers are attentive and the food is amazing! We come here often and love the appetizers from the chopped salad, to the crunchy rice tuna and cauliflower, to their main staples steak tacos, their seabass and short ribs! Do not forget the pudding for dessert! Wine selection is also great!“

“Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. This place has one of the best pastor tacos in LA. Their meats are well seasoned and are not dry. Their salsas have great flavor and heat.

Loved this place! It’s a small, lively, no-frills Mexican spot on Melrose — you order on a machine and they call your number when it’s ready.

The food is really delicious, very authentic, fresh, and full of flavor — not touristy at all. You can actually see the team cooking right in front of you, which makes it clear everything is fresh.

The vibe is fun and energetic, with loud Spanish music playing, which adds to the experience. Seating is limited (mostly counter seating), but there are a few tables outside on a small terrace.

We’re a French family with three children, and during our 4-day stay in Los Angeles we had lunch here and absolutely loved it.

Overall, a great quality/price ratio — highly recommended!“
