“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.“

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“

“Bombest burrito in LA. He brings professional hospitality to the street taco game. First time I stopped by after a long early morning shift at a coffee cart and I was greeted as I walked up. He walked me through their offerings. I wanted to try their al pastor but was too hungry for a couple tacos so I ordered it as a burrito and man, amazingly tasty. He has a flat top grill and grills the burritos *chef's kiss. I'm all for street tacos of all kinds in LA but I'd venture to say this is the cleanest operation I've been to. He takes cash but also venmo or Zelle and has all that easily accessible. Ordered a carne asada burrito this evening and it's truly ministering to me“

“Very unassuming place. It looks modest and you would never guess how phenomenal the food is! Everything is freshly made. Hand cut folded wrapped prepped you got it. Best tacos I've tasted on this side of the border. Seating and parking is limited.“

“Absolutely delicious, cooked fresh and everything you want in a snack. There’s lots of savory and sweet options- I went with a ham and cheese one and a mixed berry cream cheese one. It looks like they have new and limited flavor options rotated out regularly. Paying is cash or Venmo only, but was very inexpensive. It took about 10 mins, and there’s some picnic tables nearby with cute little birds to keep you company while you wait.

It was cooked perfectly, melty and piping hot on the inside, and crispy on the outside, with a mildly sweet and crispy shell. Absolute perfection! A great way to grab a quick snack and take a short break while shopping. I definitely will be back.“

“I was told this place was good by a group of friends. I was invited to a Torta with Carne Asada and was very impressed by the quality. It's very authentic food , flavor packed Mexican food a 2am hits different.

“I actually came here by accident while looking for a different taco spot, but I’m really glad I did. The reviews caught our attention, so we decided to give it a try—and it did not disappoint.

It’s a really unique twist on tacos, with a pastrami-style concept that you don’t see often, and they absolutely pulled it off. Everything was delicious. We ordered the Picante, which was great, but I’ve got to say—the Rickster looked incredible. It had that Thousand Island-style dressing and honestly looked like a must-try next time.

Definitely recommend checking this place out. It’s something different, and totally worth it.“

This place has one of the best pastor tacos in LA. Their meats are well seasoned and are not dry. Their salsas have great flavor and heat.

The lines can be long but it is worth the wait. You just can't beat this place when it comes to taste, quality, and price.“

4100 isn't a typical spot for me on a Sunday, but it definitely will be now that I know Nugtown will be there.

I've worked in the service industry and done local food reviews for 10 years across Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles. This is one of the standout spots, hands down. That is saying A LOT.

Hand battered chicken, everything made to order, and Mike will let you know exactly what you need without trying to upsell and swindle you.

I take my food, specifically fried chicken, very seriously and there is not one thing that I could suggest to improve. I can't wait to tell everybody!

“Tamales Naborina is truly a hidden gem a street vendor that has been a staple in Watts for years. It’s the kind of place that’s known by locals, and while it’s somewhat of a well-kept secret, I believe everyone deserves to experience their incredible tamales!

**Location:** You can usually find the bright yellow food truck at the corner of 105th and Wilmington Avenue.

**Service:** The service is impressively quick, especially given the number of customers they serve in the morning. You'll be in and out before you know it!

**Parking:** Keep in mind that parking is limited to street parking, so be prepared to search for a spot and take a short walk to the truck.

**Food:** The tamales here are as authentic as it gets! They use traditional masa with lard and offer a variety of fillings, including red chicken, green chicken, red pork, and cheese tamales. I always opt for their cheese tamales, as they truly do not skimp on the cheese-to-masa ratio, make sure you ask for extra napkins to absorb the grease from the tamales. Don’t forget to grab their green salsa topped with onion and cilantro—it’s a must-have accompaniment and their champurrado is delicious!

On weekends, they also offer banana leaf-wrapped tamales and corn tamales, also known as Uchepos—if you know, you know!

**Overall:** If you’re looking for authentic and delicious tamales, Naborina Tamales is a must-visit. Their offerings are not only tasty but also filling, making it worth the trip!“

“Not even gonna lie. Some of the best tacos I've had here. The chicken wasn't pretty but it was dang sure good. It was for sure up to par with the pork. The pork was that crispy cook too, but they could cook it how u like. Where im for sure sold is that the tacos are cheap. I've noticed the price rise over the years. Another plus goes to the location. I believe if they aren't there, or right next to them this dude makes these mash potato meat and veggie bowls in the potato. Im telling you, you really have to check out the food on the street. Both the tacos and the potatoes. Last thing, they weren't those little tacos either. Nah, these tacos got gains. “I got here by chance on a Saturday night, the parking lot was full and the line was long, so I assumed it was good. I am not lying when I tell you that these are probably the BEST TACOS I’ve ever had in my life. If you want to have the real street food experience in LA, this is absolutely it. “This has to be the best burrito I’ve had in SoCal. It’s a great concept to give the customer the open burrito to put in toppings of my choice and amount, then give it back for the employees to perfectly wrap up.

I got the asada and tripa burrito as well as an al pastor and pineapple mulita. All of it was cooked perfectly and with large portion sizes and great prices.

I will happily make the hour trip just to stop here again. This place should get an award.“
