Los Sabrosos al Horno Tacos • $
4901 Patata St, Cudahy

“Los Sabrosos al Horno are really some of the very best tacos in Los Angeles, and they are operated by a very warm and caring family.Their menu follows the guideline of doing one thing and doing it well--whole roast lechon tacos, served with mustard based salsas. Tacos are served with the tender roast pork, cabbage, and a piece of delicious roast skin (cuerito). As a family, we would go to visit them at their pop up in Cudahy, and when we had a tragic event, we reached out to them to cater the event. They did an excellent job and were very sensitive and helpful in all regards. They will always hold a special place in our heart.“

Enchiladas Con Cecina

“Absolutely adore this gem! Discovered it on TikTok, and it exceeded my expectations. Impeccable and swift customer service. The tostadas de deshebrada were a delightful experience - perfectly proportioned, reasonably priced, and the juicy shredded meat was seasoned to perfection. Fresh toppings elevated the dish. This stand has a good range of hours but I still managed to get there near closing. Regret not trying the enchiladas during my late visit, but I'm eagerly planning a return for that treat.“

“Stumbled upon this place on a whim with my friends while trying to find some Mexican food and decided why not here? It's a good thing we decided that because I think we ended up each getting 3 rounds of tacos. The pork and beef tacos were delicious and only two dollars each. The toppings and hot sauce are all self-serve. Finally, the horchatas are homemade and delicious! The place only accepts cash, zelle, and cashapp but do not sleep on this place the tacos and horchata are seriously good.“

Birria LA linea Fast Food •
4444 E Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles - 4.06 miles

“Hands down, the best, best birria tacos I've ever had!!I've been eyeing this taco truck for the longest time when I was looking for birria tacos. I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos. We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. Like any other taco trucks and vendors, service is always impeccable. Everyone is very friendly and supportive to other vendors. I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again. The best birria tacos!!!“

I had to tear pieces off bc of how huge the meat slices are and juice would splash on my shirt, or I would burn my mouth and fingers trying to rip the meat apart with my teeth and fingers.) Other than the pain and looking like a doofus because I had to tuck napkins into my collar, It was worth it! Also, their tortillas are SO DAMN GOOD. She makes them by hand the flavor is stellar. “Located in the same parking lot with SoCal Tires & Wheels, Tacos Los Güichos put the “street” in streets tacos! Situated in the parking lot with a tire and alignment shop blasting Spanish music and in the middle of a busy intersection, the place scores high in atmosphere. The tacos options are the same that you would fine in most of these type of places, from legua, cabeza, asado, pastor, pollo, sudadero, chorizo, buche, and tropa. I had an assortment of the meats and from all of them the best flavor came from the el pastor! Each tacos is $2.75 and you can add any of their 4 types/intensity hot sauce and top with onions with cilantro.I would say for a quick fix or for a taste of legit street food, this taco place is pretty neat! A little hard to find but if you see the tire shop, just pull in and the taco shop is right on the corner of the same parking lot! Dine with confidence!!“

“I have been *quite* delinquent at keeping up with converting review drafts to actual reviews - but I feel especially bad seeing this one un-posted still, given it was just in the local news last week, they're putting their popup on temporary-but-indefinite pause because it wasn't getting enough business... hopefully they do reopen, ideally in a proper space, because their bbq is *great*. I hadn't ever been to their now-closed official popup location, but after having heard how great they were for the previous year, I finally had a chance to try them over the summer, at the Beachwood anniversary event. I loved that I was able to buy meat in quarter-pound increments, so I could try two of my favorite bbq meats, brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was great; the brisket was probably the best brisket I've had from a bbq place in Long Beach (it's still not Franklin, but *nothing* is Franklin). I also tried their mac & cheese - they only had one size, for $8, but that size was *large*. The mac & cheese was also great. Seriously friendly people, too, so I really hope they succeed in their quest for a brick-and-mortar spot. (And that the quality is as good once they do, both so I don't have to give them a worse review later, and because I would like to have that brisket again! And because they're great people and they deserve to succeed, of course.)“

My two tacos were wrapped and kept warm in a foil package. When I got back, I realized they gave me chorizo and buche, and a lot of cilantro. I removed the cilantro, not a big deal. The chorizo, at least I think it was chorizo, wasn't too dry and it was flavorful. There were also chunks of fat (?) in it. The buche was salty...and tasted like buche. I liked their salsas and felt it complemented the meats well.Unfortunately I didn't get either of the meats I wanted to try. No wait.Offered tacos de asada, al pastor, suadero, and a couple of other options. $2 each. All the traditional fixings and then some. I got raw onions, cilantro, radish, chile jalapeño tatemado, grilled onions, red salsa, and green salsa. The tacos were great. I tried al pastor and suadero. 2 small tortillas for each taco with a good portion of protein. Served on paper plates. I recommend both the al pastor and suadero equally. Also ordered a watermelon agua fresca. $2.50 for a small. About 10-12 oz. The agua fresca was delicious. I highly recommend you try it.3 employees were taking care of customers. No wait at all when I ordered. Quite a few customers came after me. Offer both eat there and take away. They have a table set up with plastic chairs. Easily fits 6 adults. Staff was efficient. Not friendly. Not unfriendly. Just fine. “MÉXICO (Guerrero) ??Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles:While you are standing in line waiting for your chance to order this goat and lamb barbacoa, listen to the conversations of others around you, or if you do not speak Spanish start one yourself. It becomes clear that the vast majority of customers here live in nearby neighborhoods of South and Southeast Los Angeles but originally come from Guerrero. The food and adobo-rubbed Guerrero-style barbacoa they remember is best represented here under the large yellow tent. The stand has lived for over a decade, the tent was once white and much smaller, but now the current one becomes a sight that makes your heart speed up in anticipation of the upcoming meal. Barbacoa can be thrown on any menu, usually resulting in a plate of dry meat laid in front of you, but it takes someone talented and willing to put in the hard work of properly cleaning an animal and cooking it overnight to make the best. After finishing you can start to appreciate the origin stories of this food and the family that serves it. On the business card, a beautiful scene of Taxco shows the main cathedral and the mountains that surround the Northern Guerrero town. It is quite a bit closer to Mexico City than it is to the coastal Guerrero city of Acapulco, and shares a culture similar to the mountainous towns of nearby Estado de México, Morelos, and Puebla, places that have all seen quite a dramatic loss of families that have moved their lives north. It is an honor and a privilege to share meals with those that have come to Los Angeles, and the amazing yellow-tented food stand that fulfills their cravings from back home.“

“3.5 stars. i was driving home on a Sunday night at around 1800 and saw this spot as I was headed towards the highway. Driving through Hunting Park really makes you hungry for Mexican food...:) Stopped and got 4 different tacos. The extra stuff you can add to your tacos are awesome. The grilled onions, the charro beans, the pickled onions, the radishes, the cucumber, and I think there was maybe two other things. Then there's 3 salsas and lime to top it all off. It's a lot. My tacos were loaded. I also got a pineapple fresca. I honestly think I loaded too much on my tacos and couldn't taste the meat as much. I got the pastor, chorizo, buche, and something else-it was sirloin steak. All of it's not bad but I liked the chorizo the most. There's maybe four other meats. Again, I think I overloaded my tacos and should def go back give this place another shot. But this is a cool spot for street tacos. Total cost was $12 though, which is a little pricey.“

“You'd be surprised on just how good these wings are For being street vendor he has some unique flavors. I'm definitely coming here again. Just be ready to wait about 10-15 minutes for your wings (depending on how busy he is). It's worth it!“

“I've been coming here for a while now and he's still my favorite elote man! There's plenty of free parking at night. He comes later in the night now, around 10:30 PM. Keep in mind that there's always a long line, depending on what day you go, you can spend over an hour waiting for corn. The corn man and his son are super friendly! I always get corn on the cob and one in a bowl togo. It's $2 each and make sure you bring cash. Overall, definitely worth it if you are a corn lover!“
