“Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“

I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos.We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. Like any other taco trucks and vendors, service is always impeccable. Everyone is very friendly and supportive to other vendors. I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again. The best birria tacos!!!“
“Bomb shwarma spot! Highly recommended. The wraps are filled with meat and delicious veggies. The sauces are very tasty as well. The size of the wraps are big and could probably feed two people. “Been coming to this place for years at least twice a month. The tortas never disappoint. I've placed phone orders and they never get it wrong unlike other places. Their customer service is good. In my opinion, it's the best tortas in Los Angeles. However, my only critique is the fact that they are extremely stingy with the napkins and even worse, with the salsa. They give 2 napkins and 1 salsa per torta. If you ask them for more salsa they charge extra. Apart from this, they only accept cash. We are in 2024 they should be accepting card or at least Zelle/Cashapp. All that being said, I'm still a loyal costumer who will keep enjoying these delicious tortas but that wants more napkins and salsa lol“

They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

“Very excited to try this spot. The tasting menu was the perfect amount of food, I’m a little full but not stuffed. The food was fantastic - if you’re looking for drown your sushi in soy sauce and wasabi - this is not that. It is simply excellent fish - needing nothing more than a pinch of salt maybe (which they put on the plate - don’t let the other reviews fool you). The Monk’s “Chirashi-Sushi” small plate was one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth! Like spring in a bowl, every single bite was perfection. The glass of Muscat was a perfect pairing. The Rockfish & Mussels main was sooo good - get it. And if you go midweek there isn’t a crowd, the service was top notch.“

“Shrimply AMAZING!!!! My Buddy has been telling me about this place for years and it's right down the street from my office. Finally the shrimps aligned and I got my ass down to the truck. Service is good. Food comes out super fast. I started with 3 fried shrimp tacos and 6 oysters. Let's talk about the tacos. Perfectly fried, crunchy and the shrimp bits were chopped chunky and was mixed with some kind of stuffing. Avocado slices and salsa topping was perfection. The flavors blended perfectly! The oysters were delicious! I've never had an oyster w salsa topped with a slice of octopus or a whole shrimp before. Super hearty and delicious. It took away from the taste of the oyster, but still very very good. These tacos are so amazing I had to get another three. 6 tacos, 6 oysters and a jarriotos w 20% tip was about $40. I wish they had tables or something to grub on, but slamming these tacos down on red plastic stools worked just fine. Def coming back!!!“

“My wife was working the late shift at the Rite Aid on Vermont Ave in LA. She had a craving for pizza. I got there early to survey the pizza place in surrounding area. What popped up about a mile away was Bella Luna Pizza on Hillhurst. When I look at the place on Apple map, I noticed it was a mobile pizza oven. One of the picture showed cash only. I ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza. The pizza crust, sauce and cheese were great. The pepperoni was a bit salty. Overall, it was a great pie. DJ's rating 4.40/5.00 Would I come back? These tacos filled with stew represent the way food is served at home, not a smorgasboard of menu choices, just a couple of things done well, consistently, and dependably. They represent the taste of the working masses of Los Angeles whose bloodlines in this city are long while weaving in influences from various Mexican regions. It doesn't get more rustic and truly delightful than Mathew's tent stall where the corn tortillas are dipped in stew juices to soften them up before they are toasted on the griddle. His vat of birria conjures up the warmth and depth of roasted onions, cinammon, chiles, and slow cooked meat that falls into shreds off your fingers as you slurp up the juices. No restrooms available (even in the gast station) You order your tacos at a smaller stand and then stand in another line to the food truck window to get your salsas and toppings (which are all pre-packaged) A couple of standing tables next to the taco truck for eating as well. The al pastor was juice yet tender, I always love the sweet pineapple component and then the avocado salsa was very good. The green salsa had a good kick and the red salsa had a slight smokiness to it. I dress my taco up with all the fixings so I liked the raw onions and pickles onions they offer too. Will be back!“
