“This is one of 3 reviews, that will have the same introduction! I decided to do my own version of a "taco crawl" and tested out 3 taco trucks I've driven by and have been wanting to try out! All 3 are in the SGV, and I'm SO glad to have tried them! El Pastorcito Taco II is outside of the Arcadia Park off Santa Anita Ave & just south of Huntington Drive. Based on the name, Al Pastor is their specialty, so naturally I picked out the Al Pastor taco! With a smokey flavor, onions & cilantro and a nicely sliced piece of pineapple topping the taco, it was worth the $2.50 it cost, and was rich in taste! Staff here were friendly, though it wasn't a super busy weekday evening. No seating here, which is totally fine, and it is by a big parking lot, so plan ahead to eat in your car, especially since you want to eat it hot & fresh! No worries though, everything comes on a Styrofoam tray, works great! A decent variety of other items on their menu as well - definitely a go-to when I want to get some legit al pastor tacos!“

“Los Sabrosos al Horno are really some of the very best tacos in Los Angeles, and they are operated by a very warm and caring family.Their menu follows the guideline of doing one thing and doing it well--whole roast lechon tacos, served with mustard based salsas. Tacos are served with the tender roast pork, cabbage, and a piece of delicious roast skin (cuerito).As a family, we would go to visit them at their pop up in Cudahy, and when we had a tragic event, we reached out to them to cater the event. They did an excellent job and were very sensitive and helpful in all regards. They will always hold a special place in our heart.“

“The best taco/ burrito EVER! I've been going to tacos el pumchis since 2019 in Cudahy... never got me sick. A nice mesquite taste to the steak because they do flame charcoal grill. And pour there awesome avacado sauce! The customer service is great they joke around with you when they see you coming on a regular bases...“

“i go to college and this food truck was posted just outside my dorm. decided to try it since i’m a big fan of Mexican food and it did not disappoint. Service was super fast even though there was a huge line. the food was absolutely incredible and easily goes in my top 5 best Mexican dishes. i got the perro with no beans and it was amazing. it included a huge homeade flour tortilla, super tender and juicy steak, a whole grilled jalapeño, spicy salsa, guacamole and cilantro and onions. definitely plan on eating here again and would highly recommend if you have the opportunity.“

“The chilaquiles from this place are delicious !! Also, the caldo de pollo hits the spot when you are getting sick and can't cook a sopita on your own. This place has saved me several times. The portion sizes are good as well and I believe you can also take your own pot.“

“Family owned and operated truck located in Boyle Heights / East LA area that specializes in tacos arabes and goodies from Puebla in general. The tacos arabes were a result of Lebanese immigrants to the area and boy are they delicious. I came here later on a Thursday night so it wasn't very busy and it was pretty chill. Just a few other people around me. The folks here were friendly and helpful. I ordered:A taco arabe especiale- their signature taco with their marinated roast pork on this soft flower tortilla. This was topped Oaxacan cheese and slices of avocado (especiale). There was this chipotle sauce on top of everything. The sauce added some smokiness to an already great flavor and texture profile. I really liked that flour tortilla. Quesadilla de flor de calabaza - zucchini blossoms with melted Oaxacan cheese inside a blue corn tortilla. Love corn and I love this. Nice and chewy with earthy and slightly sweet flavors to go along with their delicious salsaDefinitely recommend for tacos/ quesadillas etc etc or if you are just in the mood for something a little different.“

“4+ Considered one of the best by many or at least one of the most popular taco spots in Los Angeles. They have a good variety of items and meats, but I would say they are most known for their al pastor (marinated, spit-roasted pork that is usually served with a slice/ chunk of pineapple). The service here is pretty efficient since they have to be - there's almost always a line. The vibe: depending on the time of day or night you come, it's usually a mixed group of people wanting to try this spot, people eating after a drinking session, or just people looking for decently priced tacos. One of the times I was here, I was standing behind Dante Basco (Rufio!), haha. Usually a fun vibe for sure. My usual here is two tacos (typically the al pastor) and a mulita. It used to be that there was a toppings and salsa bar where you would dress up your food. Not sure if it's because of the pandemic or people taking advantage and taking too much stuff home, you now have to go to a separate window to ask for the toppings and salsa and they're individually packaged. I definitely think this place is worth going for the al pastor. I myself have been here multiple times. Parking can be tough, but if you are going during the week there's usually parking along the street facing south on LA Brea right around the corner. Just be careful though as it is a relatively high traffic area and some people seem to drive recklessly in this area.“

Our foreign exchange student had pollo and asada, which he enjoyed, but said the steak was the better of the two. My partner had the vampiro, which she loved. Finally, I had the quesataco with chivo. “Love their tacos and burritos! It's right next to my work and they usually setup by 3pm so we can get early dinner with the team. I usually get the carne asada and el pastor tacos + burrito. If I ask them mix (beef /pork) meat in the burrito there's $1 extra charge. Last time I didn't have an extra dollar so the amigo gave it to me for free. The meat is little bit salty so don't put too much sauce! Love their grilled onions too and avocado sauce. Tacos $2.50 and burritos $10 as of February 2024.“

“Hands down, the best, best birria tacos I've ever had!!I've been eyeing this taco truck for the longest time when I was looking for birria tacos. I missed the chance to go from the last time I came by. Many other taco vendors also recommend this truck for goat birria tacos.We got some goat birria quesatacos, labio taco dorados, which were lips, asada vampiro, and of course, gotta get consome. Not many places have goat birria, and most of the time, they tend to be too dry. Those quesatacos were super tender, juicy, cheesy, and packed with tons of spices and flavors. Dipping in the beefy, hardy consome, game over. I've never seen beef lips before, so I gotta give a try. It got the texture of beef tongue, also quite delicious. Like any other taco trucks and vendors, service is always impeccable. Everyone is very friendly and supportive to other vendors. I said it once, and I'm gonna say it again. The best birria tacos!!!“

“After running an errand in the area, G's popped up on Yelp and it did not disappoint. Conveniently located in a plaza with plenty of parking, G's was not hard to find. Upon entering, it was plenty busy for 11am on a rainy day (a good sign.) I was pleasantly surprised they offered $1.25 tacos for Taco Tuesday ! In addition, they offer this special on Thursdays and Sundays! I ordered two asada and two al pastor tacos. After ordering, I helped myself to the salsa/condiment bar which had many of the usual suspects (red, green and an avo salsa along with limes.) The tacos came out freshly cooked and were served on heated yellow corn tortillas. The meats were well seasoned and topped with onions, cilantro and red sauce. I've been on a taco crawl all over LA the past few years and these rival some of the best around. While scarfing down my tacos, I was looking over the handwritten whiteboard menu and noticed that they offered complimentary consome. How awesome is that?! This along with the fact I skipped dinner the night before prompted me to order two birria tacos which along with the consome totally hit the spot . Safe to say I will be returning again and again!“

“Love stopping by here after a Dodgers game...always get tacos Al Pastor & then finish the night off with dessert from the churro stand next to the troca. So delish. It's one hand made tortilla, a little bigger than normal the tiny tacos. It's not very greasy at all.
