“It’s not too often that I stop at a Michoacana store, but this location somehow always manages to serve everything with a positive and enthusiastic attitude everytime I stop by to buy something! Most stores usually have little to not much variety, but this location always has something in store for everyone! It has flavors for ice cream that other locations don’t seem to have. They always try to introduce something new and refreshing that anyone can and will enjoy! Whenever I have entered this store, they always have fresh corn for an esquite or fresh fruit for hot summer days. “After our Altadena house burned down, we relocated to Barker Block and absolutely love being so close to Manuela. We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Their expertise is off the charts, and I highly recommend.“

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Such a great experience! I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect walking into Bike Shed since I’m not really part of the motorcycle scene and thought I might feel a little out of place, but I was completely wrong.

The tall tattooed bartender working the bar was amazing. He was super welcoming, friendly, and genuinely made me feel comfortable right away. He took the time to explain the drinks, made great recommendations, and had such an easygoing personality that made the whole place feel way less intimidating.

Our server was condescending and repeatedly interrupted our moment by crossing between us without a word. When I asked about drinks, she was short and even gave inaccurate descriptions. This is my second visit, and both times with the same server have left a sour taste. I hope the service improves because the food deserves better! “Walked here from corner of Sunset and Lilac. The tacos here never disappoint. They are always made to perfection. Down to the slice of onion with the mole taco, and the avocado on the Tinga. They always give perfect presentation and quality. We had a Jamaica and horchata.

We waited a long time to be greeted and get water once sat, even though the restaurant was only partially full - so much so the server did apologize once they did show up. But then we proceeded to wait a long time again to place our order, and then had to flag down our server after waiting a long time to get another glass of wine mid-meal. Overall, it was a fine experience, but was really shocking to be charged a credit card fee on the bill. I can't imagine folks are paying cash often at this price point, and I've never ever been passed a 3% credit card fee at a nice, sit-down restaurant.“

Not to thick so it doesnt overload you with bread and the roman pinsa style of fermentation makes it eaiser to digest too! Great creative use of quality toppings and combinations different from many places. Excellent salads and of course nice wines that they can steer you to what may be to. your liking. Chartruitere board for 4 needed more than one type of cheese and would have benefited from one other meat besides mortadella and prosciutto. However all the ingredients were top notch. Inside is quite noisy and the outside patio is nice with it ringed by large plants so you dont see the street. Plus 3rd street here has almost no traffic. Music was a bit loud on the patio to compete with talking but not terrible. Service was very friendly but food came out on the slow side. Restaurant was packed on a saturday night at 6:15 so that may be why as the kitchen is small. But like in Rome, you shouldnt be in a rush when you eat. It's the Italian way. Not a huge menu but many items sounded really good so will need to try again. The tiramisu was great but diffferent. Served in a goblet with the cookies dusted on top it was like more of a pudding with the lady fingers. Other normal versions have more of the cake in layers than this but it was quite good. The pistachio ice cream was also really good too. But really this is one of the best pinsa style pizzas I have had, I have eaten them at many places! So if you come here you need to get the pizza!“

“Friend found this Taiwanese food spot near the Convention Center, which worked out for a quick dinner before the KCON concert. Not quite your usual Taiwanese comfort food restaurant, but food-wise, it's close enough. I do see this being a convenient and nice dining location for those living in downtown LA.

So you order and pay first, and then take your number to a seat of your choice. Other than your food being brought to you, everything else is self-serve, from picking out your table, getting cutlery and water, etc. You also might want to have your party all here if you want to sit together to eat. Our other half of the group was still on their way, so my friend and I just ordered first and dined at a table for two.

I picked their minced pork on rice ($12) and passion fruit tea ($4.25 with no refills). My friend ordered the wonton noodle soup and I got to try some of hers. I liked what we both ordered and can confirm it's worth ordering again.

“What a gem...hands down the best elotes l've ever had!! The corn man is super nice and super fast at pumping out Elote via cob or bowl. There was probably 20+ people ahead of me with multiple orders but it only took 25 minutes to get through since he's so efficient. It can be so amazingly rich and heavy for some folks but this is what you're coming for! A guilty pleasure ruminating in cheese, mayo and liquid butter and corn. I prefer the bowl over the cob since it's much easier to eat. I also recommend getting two at once so u don't have to wait in line again and it's so cheap. 100% recommend!“
