“I usually don't eat at Winchell, but I forgot my coffee at home so I stopped here since it was on my way to work. The worker said the coffee was on the house, and to have a good day. Shocked at this random act of kindness that seemed to have been lost in this world for some time, I came back the next day on my day off with my kids to have lunch here. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful!

Before leaving, I saw that they sold Salvadorian quesadillas here. I bought some for my Salvi In-laws and they loved it! They said that the quesadillas are hard to make, and you have to find the right people to make them. They said they'll be telling all their friends about it haha.“

We used to have a fire table like yours, so dining here always carries a sense of home. Last night we brought friends, and they said, ‘This makes it hard to go out to eat in Monrovia—our restaurants cut corners with cheap ingredients and fast turnover.’ What your chefs create is the opposite: dishes with not just incredible flavor but extraordinary texture and detail. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. “The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“Such a great experience! I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect walking into Bike Shed since I’m not really part of the motorcycle scene and thought I might feel a little out of place, but I was completely wrong.

The tall tattooed bartender working the bar was amazing. He was super welcoming, friendly, and genuinely made me feel comfortable right away. He took the time to explain the drinks, made great recommendations, and had such an easygoing personality that made the whole place feel way less intimidating.

Our server was condescending and repeatedly interrupted our moment by crossing between us without a word. When I asked about drinks, she was short and even gave inaccurate descriptions. This is my second visit, and both times with the same server have left a sour taste. I hope the service improves because the food deserves better! “Walked here from corner of Sunset and Lilac. The tacos here never disappoint. They are always made to perfection. Down to the slice of onion with the mole taco, and the avocado on the Tinga. They always give perfect presentation and quality. We had a Jamaica and horchata.

We waited a long time to be greeted and get water once sat, even though the restaurant was only partially full - so much so the server did apologize once they did show up. But then we proceeded to wait a long time again to place our order, and then had to flag down our server after waiting a long time to get another glass of wine mid-meal. Overall, it was a fine experience, but was really shocking to be charged a credit card fee on the bill. I can't imagine folks are paying cash often at this price point, and I've never ever been passed a 3% credit card fee at a nice, sit-down restaurant.“

“Fantastic roman style pizza. My new favorite style. Crispy on the bottom and ends, and a great flavor to the crust. Not to thick so it doesnt overload you with bread and the roman pinsa style of fermentation makes it eaiser to digest too! Great creative use of quality toppings and combinations different from many places. Excellent salads and of course nice wines that they can steer you to what may be to. your liking. Chartruitere board for 4 needed more than one type of cheese and would have benefited from one other meat besides mortadella and prosciutto. However all the ingredients were top notch. Inside is quite noisy and the outside patio is nice with it ringed by large plants so you dont see the street. Plus 3rd street here has almost no traffic. Music was a bit loud on the patio to compete with talking but not terrible. Service was very friendly but food came out on the slow side. Restaurant was packed on a saturday night at 6:15 so that may be why as the kitchen is small. But like in Rome, you shouldnt be in a rush when you eat. It's the Italian way. Not a huge menu but many items sounded really good so will need to try again. The tiramisu was great but diffferent. Served in a goblet with the cookies dusted on top it was like more of a pudding with the lady fingers. Other normal versions have more of the cake in layers than this but it was quite good. The pistachio ice cream was also really good too. But really this is one of the best pinsa style pizzas I have had, I have eaten them at many places! So if you come here you need to get the pizza!“

“I went to this restaurant yesterday just after 8 o’clock. The Sports Bar is really good; the burgers and chicken wings there are absolutely delicious and well worth recommending“

“The food here is phenomenal, especially compared to other Peruvian restaurants like pollo Inca. While it may not be the same, it’s definitely better in flavor. Everything is never bland, and the flavoring is exceptional. I can’t recommend it enough; you have to try it!

I wish I had pictures, but I was in a rush. They do have complimentary sauces and bread. The portions are generous, and the agua fresca is made in-house.
A bit pricey, but will pay for great service and taste in food. Gracias. ☺“

“Friend found this Taiwanese food spot near the Convention Center, which worked out for a quick dinner before the KCON concert. Not quite your usual Taiwanese comfort food restaurant, but food-wise, it's close enough. I do see this being a convenient and nice dining location for those living in downtown LA.

So you order and pay first, and then take your number to a seat of your choice. Other than your food being brought to you, everything else is self-serve, from picking out your table, getting cutlery and water, etc. You also might want to have your party all here if you want to sit together to eat. Our other half of the group was still on their way, so my friend and I just ordered first and dined at a table for two.

I picked their minced pork on rice ($12) and passion fruit tea ($4.25 with no refills). My friend ordered the wonton noodle soup and I got to try some of hers. I liked what we both ordered and can confirm it's worth ordering again.
