“Stopped by this location christmas eve morning. It was right in the middle of the storm. Locations wasnt very busy, service was pretty quick and food taste better than expected. Chicken nuggets weren't over fried or old tasting like most locations do now a days. Chicken nuggets taste like real Chicken, the whoppers weren't cold and the tater tots weren't old. Honestly the best food my family has had from a burger kind in a few years now. Thank you to the gentleman that was there that morning, he was really kind and he offered coupons.“

“The Shift lead juan was an extravagant server. We ordered our food and 2 minutes later he came to our table and dropped it off for us. He was overall an amazing cashier and busser. He should get a raise for the service and environment he is giving to the customers.“

“Mgr Brianna made my day!! A different McD got our entire order wrong. Didn't realize the mistake until we were on the freeway. Stopped by to gas up at costco. Swung by this drive thru & asked if they could help us with our order. She patiently listened as I explained the mistake by the other restaurant (i provided our receipts). She made it right, made an exception for us & fixed it without any hesitation.

“Came here cause it was close to the Greek Theatre and they had a special to who I went to go see (Djo) and it was sooo good. Theres a public parking right around the corner, the food was ready pretty quick, fresh seats outside, and delicious burger and curly fries. I’m coming here again if I’m ever in the area.“

“Known for their grassfed beef burger. They offer $14 vegan option but no vegan cheese. The mayo has no dairy but does have eggs. Everyone enjoyed their $12 grassfed beef and $14-$15 Ruben or patty melt sandwich options. $5 Curry fries was nice. They do have 1 restroom, no mirror. They offer a water station on the side with disposable paper cups.

Patio bar top seating are good for individual to couples eating there. A party of 4 like us could be a bit disruptive when sitting on both sides.“

“I stopped by Amboy Burgers after coming to Union Station on the Greyhound from San Diego. The place had a small line outside but it moved quickly. Since it was my first time, I ordered the classic Amboy burger with yellow peppers, and went to sit at a table outside.

I was en route to LAX and realized my phone battery was quite low. I asked the clerk if I could charge my phone for a bit and he graciously plugged me in behind the counter. The burger itself was really good. It tasted like what I’d call a crossover of In-N-Out and a hole-in-the-wall smashburger spot. The meat was super flavorful, though, and the bun was quite good too.

The only downside is that it was like ~$18 after tax for a fairly small burger. But, I realize this is Los Angeles in 2026, so I let it slide and not interfere with my interpretation of the burger. Plus, the willingness to let me charge was really nice.“

“I long heard tales that this had the best burger in LA. I decided finally to visit on my birthday. It was 45 minutes to Compton and worth it. NOTE: It's easy to miss the storefront, The trick is to drive into the large parking lot just south of the storefront. I love the menu here because you can add an egg, pastrami, extra Patty and then there's choices of hot relish and sweet relish. Get both. This is Mama's place and Mama is the best, incredibly friendly, generous and they serve great food. I haven't had chili cheese fries in 6 or 7 years and it was worth breaking that pledge to eat it here. It was so good. I think there's just a little hint of oregano in it that gives it a great flavor. That's unexpected. I ordered a double turkey burger with pastrami and everything on it but mustard and my companion got a double cheeseburger with everything on it. They were freaking outstanding and the price was right. It was so cool to see people who were regulars just coming and going. I'd eat here too because it's the cheapest burger that I've had in La that was decent, my companion noted that McDonald's is just a block away and the burgers. There are the same price but they're not the same quality at all. These are excellent burgers and My friend was like you have to wait like 5 or 10 minutes, but it's worth it because they're cooked right there and it's awesome. A mama let us eat in the table out back and gave us an extra fries and barbecue sauce on top of the chili cheese fries. She was so accommodating and so friendly and gave us a big hug before we left. “A classic diner specializing in burgers, tuna melts, and BLT. Great sandwiches and burgers, quality is great and the vibe is a welcoming.

Their omelets could use a bit more work, but overall, would go again for a good classic diner sandwich. Great service, would recommend for lunch!“
